Ok this was the first REALLY realistic "day in the life" video a software engineer ever recorded. - normal house, normal bathroom - bus - coding instead of spending the day eating snacks and lurking around - normal setup, both in the office and home - shows how shitty we feel sometimes until we find out that it's just the hot reload disabled Nice video! Kudos!
@@GuilhermeTeixeira Ah, that wasn't the jab at the author, not at all. I just think it depicts the lonely nature of software development very well. Especially in the WFH era and especially as immigrants in other countries

USA Software companies: Gives layoff notice 1 day before to the staff German software companies: No layoffs, If we have to lay you off its a 5 month long process with fully paid benefits
German companies also do layoffs, its not a 5 months process, you get a severance of only 3 months that too if you have passed a probationary period of 6months before that you can be laid off with 2 weeks of notice. After probation if you are laid off, the process is sudden too, you are locked out of the system instantly next day, its just that officially you have 3 months but you aren't allowed in the office, you card etc won't work.
