Seems easy and clean to do.
I have had many performance cars over the years and oil change is the most important thing for the engine. Mustang GT350 I drove it 400,000 miles myself, Vet over 100,000 miles, Pantera 70,000 miles. I changed the oil myself on all my cars.... john R
Poke a hole in the bottom of the oil filter for filter drainage while engine oil is also draining.
Thanks for the video! Perfect for those that don’t know how to change their own oil. 👌🏼 ❤️
Amber Casiano Totally agree! I might be able to change my own oil now 👍🏾
Can't wait to see the slipstream footage.
GearHead704 hell yea homie I should have it up tonight
Awesome video I’m doing the oil change tomorrow on my LS2 I got the mobile oil and ac delco filter thanks.
Hell yea brother super easy and keeps that ls2 going for a long time coming I’m just getting over 120k on mine
I also use the ac Delco filter in my ls3.
I always put cardboard down under it first
The most imported thing you said was " Fill up the oil filter", most people don't do that and it is the most important thing to do if you love your corvette
It clearly says NOT to add oil in the filter.
@@sarahrobles4908 Sarah, as an engineer I would never expect an engine be starved of oil even for o few seconds. When you install an oil filter there are a few seconds, maybe 30 seconds at idle that the bearing dont get any oil. NOT good! Some people rev the engine to reduce the time, that's even worst. I have built many engines and everything needs oil to work smoothly. Just saying....john R
@@sarahrobles4908 Watch it again he clearly say make sure you fill the oil filter, he doesn't do it on some other cars but he likes to look after he Vet! ... john R
How often do you do your oil change? I use mobile 1 but live in Canada so I store it from November to March. Any suggestions?
Every 3-5k miles and I would just do a cheap oil change before storage and before you pull it out to drive again do a Mobil one before the season starts
Lionel in California. Pre fill the filter, smart. But you didn't put oil on the gasket. I wonder, having the car jacked so high, does all the oil drain. I lower mine back down for a bit. Just saying.
Ahh it’s just a car plus it made it too 140k miles before 10psi of boost popped 3 ring lands doing it this way LS motors are champs
I noticed that your tire air pressure is on the low side. Is there a reason you're running it like this?
Was getting new tires soon just a faulty sensor
Why are you mixing high mileage with regular mobil 1? Also my c6 (2007) calls for a mobile 1 extended m1-113a so was wondering if you had the wrong one
Because the 5 qt of extended performance Mobil 1 doesn't come in 1 qt. He only needed 6 qts of oil. I asked the same thing when I got my oil.
Ik it’s an old video but at 6:20 did you mean that the little extra oil will help?
I’ve always added an extra half quart of oil to help with starvation on a wet sump ls.
What headers are you running
They where Texas speed long tubes
its a 15mm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Depends, some are 13mm and others are 15mm, mine was 13mm non-magnetic and changed it to a Dorman 65372 magnetic (15mm).
