You mean 5800x3d right? 5600x and and the 5800x (non x3d) peforms the same in games. You can save money and get the 5600 or 5600x if you only play games or if you want something faster 5800x3d is a great option.

The simple reason for this is because the higher the graphics the less the cpu is used and the more the gpu is used so you don’t need as powerful of a cpu
For higher resolutions, the GPU starts to overtake the CPU as a PC's bottle neck in terms of FPS. For 1080, you could pair the 4060 Ti with a slower CPU, but your FPS would start to fall. For 4k, already the result is not great. You could pair it with a faster CPU, but your FPS will never increase, because the bottle neck is the 4060 Ti.
The 5700x has been treating me well at 1440p with a 4070ti. I technically could gain some more performance with a 5800x3d but not all games will show a big difference and I prefer the better power draw and temps of the 5700x. I will wait another year and hop onto AM5 with the 7800x3d when it comes down more in price

Those are the people that already have a 30xx Series NVIDIA card. If you don’t have a GPU at all. Then that does not apply to you at all. Just as for the 3060ti. the 4060ti would be perfect for anybody 1st time build. If you already have a 30 series gpu. There’s really no performance upgrade.

From strictly gaming perspective I don’t see a reason to get a 4060 Ti over something like a 6700 XT but I’m interested in seeing what this card can do from a python programming perspective with Ai Training. Trying to find that right balance between productivity and Gaming. The RTx 3060 was just too slow of a clock even though it had a bigger bus for the RAM. So I’m going to roll the dice on the 4060 Ti and hope that it not only does well in gaming but also in Training Ai.

I just bought someone a RTX 3060 over the 4060 purely based on 2 things: The performance is almost the same and the 3060 has 4GB more RAM than the 4060 which comes normally with 8GB RAM. There is a 16GB version of the 4060 but cost way more and still performs just about the same as the 3060.
It confuses me as well but I think higher resolution requires less cpu usage rn exchange for more gpu usage. I think that’s how it works. Im just curious if the 13400F would still work across the board without bottlenecking.
@@driiip-y4901 Yeah esports games are usually the most CPU heavy games. In a game like Valorant a new GPU don't change the FPS much if anything at all compared to changing your CPU that makes a big difference.
