Why all of the fast, zooming camera work? Yuck. How can I witness how wonderful this product is if the camera work is designed to not let me soak the lessons learned in?
actually, its the speeding up what makes it extra dizzy 😵
I agree! I'm dizzy!!
Here in UA-cam you can slow down the speed. Just click in the icon that looks like a wheel and it could be slowed down to molasses.
*Because the vast majority of youtube viewers don't sit through 20-30 minute long videos unless it's a podcast. Content creators know this.* If you're actually dizzy, I'd suggest going to a doctor about that. You could also find the tools to slow down the video rather easily. Lastly: _maybe_ try focusing on the fact she made something beautiful instead of feigned spells of vertigo.
You’ve done it so perfectly. I’ve been doing it by hand!!! Yours is better by far!
Have you tried using liquid wood? That is what we are using here. We are actually painting a layer of wood on then staining it so you don't have to sand off the old finish... www.tryliquidwood.com
You are a genius and I don't even think you know it! This is art, definitely not a normal DIY job. 🙏🏼👍🏼
- Beautiful workmanship. Thanx 4 sharing.
Far out! What fantastic results.
Thank you so much my dear for sharing! I can't tell you how much this means to me!👍
This just answered every question I've been struggling with trying to patch scratches and chipped off pieces on a table I bought. This is exactly what they used to create this table top.
You need 3 layers of polyurethane.
You would use the same poly as any wood finish. The durability would depend on the use. i.e. A dresser does not need to be as durable as flooring or countertops...
❤
So what if the finish is coming off can you still just paint on first coat of retinue it? Or do you sand that down?
What is this took using for figuring this shade of natural wood
Exellent work. 👍
The results are cool friend
Is there a paintbrush you’d recommend?
Which color u used and can i use this for the chairs???
I'm sorry you just blew my mind. I am wanting to redo our kitchen table because I accidentally sanded through the veneer. It is currently the color American walnut and I want to keep it that color. Are you saying that I just buy the paint through them and paint the entire table? And then you take their stain to make the wood markings and then I can stain it with any kind of stain I want after that meaning I can use the American walnut that I currently use through my whole house??
Nice tutorial. Simple but amazingly
Lindo el trabajo pero podría haber explicado las herramientas que usa.
Que tipo de pintura es ? Soy de argentina
I'm planning this on my floors with appoxy over it
I don’t it. Is it a 2 step kit or not?
Amazing work 💯
Thanks 🔥
Was everything used here a retique it kit?

Where can i buy in Portugal?
Je suis italienne ou je peux trouver cette peinture
What if I already have nice looking table but I want wood grain effect, do I have to bleach it too? And is the product available in asia?
You can use Wood'n Stain right over the current finish. Unfortunately it is not available in Asia yet...
Tools name please 🙏🙏🙏
So if I want to make a my desk look a bit lighter like an oak type color what can I use?
You can use any of our kits. Since liquid wood is applied first, you can apply any color stain you Emmy to lighten it up. Www.retique.com/gelkits
Love it!
Thanks!!
Amazing
great and perfect
Is this possible to smoothen a really textured wood desk that I want to use for a computer desk setup?
Wood with some bumps and lines and stuff
WO nice grain
Tres tres belle bravooo
I want to paint my exterior, white steel door with Retique it "light wood" base color with grain tool then stain it a dark golden color. Can I use a stain practice board of ANY MATERIAL (wood, MDF, plastic, etc...) to paint the "light wood" base color and stain it with a couple of practice stains? Does it matter that my practice board isn't white steel like the actual door? I want to be sure I end up with the right color stain on my door...thank you!
You can and we suggest you do that because it will come out the same, however, you must use the exterior version of liquid wood on any surface that the sun will hit. The exterior version is so durable that it can even be used for decking...
www.retique.com/exteriorliquidwood
We also have a product called Wood'n Stain that is just as durable. This is like a gel stain with real wood in it. You can also use the for doors, garage doors and decking...

I need a video showing how to deal with edged when they are up against another object. Like when a counter is up against a stove. How do I finish those areas?
❤
❤❤
Can you do this over paint?
I messed up a desk with my paint job >.> trying to fix it now
Yes, if you join our community at facebook.com/groups/liquidwood you will see many examples and you can get any of your questions answered.
Very nice.....
Is this a squeezy?
Would you possibly know (guesstimate) how many standard size (36" x 80") 6 panel doors would a gallon cover?
Each of those is 15 sq feet. A gallon kit covers 400 sq ft. So the answer would be about 26... I would recommend getting the all purpose kit which allows you to purchase according to square footage. Panel doors should not need a top coat as there is enough already built in to protect a deck for a year... You can add the sealer to make it more durable and get the sheen if you wish.
www.woodfinishkit.com will take you to the multi-purpose kits
🎉🎉
Buena tarde, muy lindo acabado.desraria saber qué tono es el segundo color que aplicó y el oscuro

Excellent 👌 job. Thanks for sharing 🤗.
Welcome 😊
Do we have to wait for the paint to dry?
You wait for the liquid wood to dry on the first coat. You grain the second coat while still wet then let it dry before staining. Notice, I didn't call it paint. It actually is liquefied wood.
retique.com/blogs/retique-it-instructions/liquid-wood
What is the finish after? Does it feel even and smooth?
It's super smooth like polished wood.
What type of paints were used for this Wood graining technique?

What did you seal the stain with?
In this demo we used Retique It Hard Wax oil. We now have Tripletique if you prefer water-based. Either one gives you extreme protection for tabletops, flooring or countertops.

Excelente trabalho. A mesa ficou lindíssima. Parabéns
Gracious
Excellent work ,❤❤
Once the grain has been placed, can you seal it without staining it?
That is a great question. Yes, we have many customers that do that.
Nicer work💖💖
❤
Whats that thing you using to make those patterns.

Are those two different paints before you put the stain?
We are actually paint on a layer of liquefied wood in two shades... www.tryliquidwood.com
im going to make that wood texture tool out of rubber since im too cheap to buy a proper one lol
where can I get the tool, to perform this work?
www.retique.com/grainingtool
This is brownish enamel paint or something else ?
This is actually liquid wood. It contains 66% liquid wood. www.Retique.com/faqs

This is a waterbased product. Ultra-low VOC with hardly any odor... www.tryliquidwood.com

Ficou linda! Gostei mais do que vc passou primeiro que está na lata escrito ( Retique). Vc pode dizer, como se chama essa coisa que vc, usou para fazer esse desenho na mesa? Desculpe chamar de coisa é que não sei o nome. Poderia me responder? Lindo!!! seu trabalho. Parabéns! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Se ve que no va a responder, se llama Veteador de madera, no sé en portugués como se dice. É de borracha e pode fazer em casa de silicona. Tem videos em youtube que ensinam como fazer

Do you let the grain dry before painting the stain on?
Yes

What color was this?
This is Dark Wood Grained over Light Wood and then Carbon Grey by Varathane
I have built outdoor furniture using construction grade 2x4s. Past experience says this does not stain very well and I dont want to just paint it. my question is will this work on 2x4s to give it a nice wood grain look?
If you want to use it for 2x4's I would suggest the next generation liquid wood called Wood'n Stain. It was developed for decks and if you use one coat, it will keep the existing grain. It still has wood in it but it also has the stain. Works for interior or exterior www.WoodnStain.com
@@MyFlippingLifewithRetiqueIt thank you
What is the stain color of that first round table?
We applied Retique It Bleached wood then grained dark wood then stained it with varathane 3x faster wood stain in Briarsmoke
@@WoodArmy_ the very first one that appears in the video looks like barn wood
Anyone knows if this works on floor tiles??
Yes, as a matter of fact, all of our swatches are actually done with floor tiles. www.Retique.tv
Thank you for replying appreciate it..
very cool😍
❤❤
Where do I get the graining tools?
If you just get a graining tool to use with paint or stain, it will look and feel like a fake finish. It's liquid wood that makes this look and feel like a real wood finish because it is real wood. Www.retique.com.
@@WoodArmy_ Yes I want to get the kit
Im interested to have a set of those!
Somebody, where or what site can i order?
Im from the Phillipines, i hope somebody can help me.

Can I use this on manufactured wood? Do I need a base coat to make it stick?
Yes, any kind of surface. No base coat needed. Just read instructions. They say NOT to use a penetrating stain... use gel stain.
Love it but can get those colour in india
Not available in India yet
Nice
Thanks
why its called "liquid wood" when the effect only comes from the tool? so its basically simply just an acrylic laque
In this video we grain it, but half of our customers love the smooth wood finish. The product is actually liquid wood because it contains over 65 percent real wood in it. This is why it looks a feels like actual wood even close up. retique.com/blogs/wood-finishes/video-liquidwood-main
Thaxs
روعة بدتلها خلاص
Stop flipping the camera so we can actually see the video😢
I tried this product and it came out looking terrible. The stain dries too fast and left it looking horribly uneven and patchy
We are sorry for your inconvenience. It sounds like you used a Penetrating Stain like MinWax. Please refer to our FAQ page regarding that. Please contact us at service@retiqueit.net so we can help you further on this.
