It's not just bending the knee, its putting lateral (sideways) pressure on the knee while it is bent. This happens to me sometimes when I sit with one leg under me in a chair and move my knee wrong. It is not fun, but the relief when it pops back into place it feels amazing. Usually I see stars when it happens from the pain.

@@adriangodoy4610 It's a bit of a false good feeling. It's more relief than anything else, hard to feel good after being subjected to relentless pain at near random. More of a "thank fuck, now don't move until you get this surgery"
I know exactly how that feels. I must have torn my meniscus when I was really young either jumping dirt bikes or playing basketball. It was just part of my life until I tore my acl a year ago and got it replaced and while they were in there stitched the tear back together as my acl tear also tore my meniscus further causing bleeding which allowed it to heal 🤞 it hasn’t happened since. So many times I’d get up from sitting cross legged and it would slip until I straightened out and it popped back in.
Same experience bro, it went back when i straightened the knee out. While its out ur totally handicapped and the smallest movemet to the side is crazy painful. Has happened like 5 times to me but been about 6 months now probably.
I've been wondering if I tore my meniscus again too cause I noticed after my surgery I started playing ball after like a year now everytime I played my leg sorta locks but that's if I bend it really to the side to long I used to have to sit for an hour cause it hurt so bad now im used to it I just stretch my leg and it pops so you think I have a torn meniscus
Yo what this happens to me too. Don’t know if I’ve ever torn it but when I stand up from cross legged and apply too much torque on my knee sometimes something slips out and my knee is straight up locked. Moving it hurts but I instinctually slip it back in straight away by straightening my leg which makes a pop sound and hurts like a bitch but otherwise I could just be sitting in one place for hours. Which did happen once.
This has happened to me plenty of times. Worse than the pain is the fear because you don't really know how to fix it. It's been a while since it happened to me because I've had to be more conscientious about how I'm sitting, but I think I generally just had to bring my leg back into the position that messed it up and it would eventually go back into place.
as someone whos tore their meniscus and had this happen a few times, i can tell you hes really experiencing some discomfort, you really do have to pop it back into place and it can feel awful
Man I’ve been going through some recent knee shit. After I tore the ligaments in mine, that’s really the only reaction you can have. You just freeze in place and you’re super focused on the injury until it’s fixed. You’ll cry like a bitch after fr though
Just back from knee surgery-exact same meniscus tear Joe mentioned(bucket handle). Mine was locked for two weeks prior to surgery and I couldn’t bend or straighten my leg. Surgery went flawlessly and feel much better now. Hope the same for Eddie!
@@notrealneverwas doctor said if I had attempted to do that i would’ve been non weight bearing for a month following surgery. Grateful yours wasn’t a complete tear!

Dino Dzinic worst feeling is the moment you realize it locked up cuz you know what you’re about to go through to straighten it.
@@Big-BossX no he's saying something else got messed up in the knee, and they fixed both issues the old and new.

@@oog2370 hahahahaha
This has happened to me plenty of times. Worse than the pain is the fear because you don't really know how to fix it. It's been a while since it happened to me because I've had to be more conscientious about how I'm sitting, but I think I generally just had to bring my leg back into the position that messed it up and it would eventually go back into place.
It’s hard to see your friend in that much pain
Joe: Does it hurt?!
Eddie: Yissssssssss (falling towards floor)
Joe: yeah I’m gonna need you to pull that sucker right up to your face

This is the greatest fucking UA-cam comment I’ve ever seen lmfaoooooo, literally has me dead
“When i had my leg up” actually does the shit again man woulda laughed if its gone two in a row
That “oh” from pure shock and pain is relatable
as someone whos tore their meniscus and had this happen a few times, i can tell you hes really experiencing some discomfort, you really do have to pop it back into place and it can feel awful

"OHH"
"You alright?You knee go out?"
"...yes..."
Why did that sound so funny
Straight to the point😂 shows the division between men and women

Man I’ve been going through some recent knee shit. After I tore the ligaments in mine, that’s really the only reaction you can have. You just freeze in place and you’re super focused on the injury until it’s fixed. You’ll cry like a bitch after fr though
"I had my leg up like this." Ok Eddie dont put it back like that!
hahahahahah i got so anxious when he did that shit
Lmao, I was thinking the same thing.
Eddie is too pure to be in such pain
My favorite part is how Eddie is so focused on not being in pain he completely ignores their questions.
Wow it’s entirely possible that a buddy of mine slipped his meniscus doing the exact same thing
Well it's not a good position to have your knee in. Especially when you push off of it like Eddie did. He acknowledge it was dumb though.

This. This is a good comment.
Just back from knee surgery-exact same meniscus tear Joe mentioned(bucket handle). Mine was locked for two weeks prior to surgery and I couldn’t bend or straighten my leg. Surgery went flawlessly and feel much better now. Hope the same for Eddie!
That's crazy. I just straightened mine out like Eddie did the two times it's happened to me lol
@@notrealneverwas doctor said if I had attempted to do that i would’ve been non weight bearing for a month following surgery. Grateful yours wasn’t a complete tear!
@@chriswillette8743 yeah it was so uncomfortable I was scared to even straighten it, but also it wasn't feasible to not be able to move so I just said screw it and pushed down on it gently. It's so weird the instant relief but also soreness
Glad I got this vid in the algorithm, I never knew how to describe it. Glad yours is good now 👍🏼
Thank GOD you posted this. I have this EXACT issue for years now and I had no idea what it is. Now I know what it is and I can pin point it.
This is the trade off for being a really good athlete. You get 10-20 years of great ability and competition if you're lucky and then about 30-40 years of constant pain and surgeries.
Not true
@@armanixox6984 how is that not true? If you look at most of the retired pro athletes most either have knee issues, hip issues, brain issues, foot or ankle, shoulder. Goes on.
@@kyleny8010 with proper recovery its minimized by alot, look at bodybuilders. Alot are in great shape and older ages because they use proper technique and recovery methods
Eden Hazard It’s mainly combat sports. The wear & tear it puts on your body doesn’t compre to any other. The whole objective is to literally hurt your opponent till they can’t continue.

Joe: “you alright, our knee go out”
Eddie very quietly: “yes”
this is wild that this showed up on my suggested while i’m recovering from a bucket handle tear in my meniscus
Joes little bro is so nice and caring asking eddie if he needs ice.
I know for a fact that anyone that has felt what he was going through watched this and their heart started pounding. Shits intense especially if you know what he’s feeling.
Worst pain i ever felt in my life, thing is it happens in so many random situations unexpectedly, no way to brace for impact and ur just out of it for a fuew Long minutes...Gives me anxiety any time i watch sports, or when i Know something like this is going to happen
Dino Dzinic worst feeling is the moment you realize it locked up cuz you know what you’re about to go through to straighten it. I realized it only locks up when you fully flex the knee and put weight on to it. Notice he was sitting with his knee flexed and then used that same leg to reposition himself. I think that’s when it locked in him.
@@mynamewalter5082 everything about it is worst, cant say whats worse, cant argue with it, u just become a superhero for fuew minutes any time it happens lol

Joe's calm reaction just gave me a flashback to college. Oh man, I totally forgot about this. Long story short we had a buddy with a really high strung gf. My friend slipped on the ice and broke his ankle. The girl freaks the fuck out, and starts screaming "he's in shock, he's in shock"! Meanwhile, the guy is cool as a cucumber. The girl is screaming at the top of her lungs that "he is in shock" when I fully believe she was in shock. She eventually hyperventilates and passed out. We left her with the group and took him the to ER. 🤣🤷♂️
