@@YoungEngineer-ew9en Collector of a nice classic car, like me... I've had one for several years, and looking for another one to add to my collection. One stock, one modified.
I have a 2000 & 2002 4.6 HSE and they're probably the most fun SUV's to drive on and off road. The ride height, stance, and presence on the road is unmatched to any other SUV I've driven!
Nice review of the old P38 4.6 range rover, I now prefer to drive and own the P38 to the later replacement L322 and lexus RX 450 hybrid ( I've had many of both types) , although I find the P38 is not as refined a ride, or as fast as the L322 or RX hybrid, a good P38 gives a more enjoyable journey and can keep up with more modern 4x4's , towing or off roading it can leave all behind , also the old P38 is already outlasting the later newer L322 range rover ( which rot out horrible compared to the P38) a good old P38 is a real, sturdy, luxuries, 4x4 👍😎
Great video comparison. Really liked all the broll and the fact that you used nice clean audio. I’m new to the P38 and hope you do more videos about them. Congrats. 🎈
Loved the comparison. Just in case it is of interest, there is something here in Europe that allows you to keep the full Harmon Kardon system and have blue tooth streaming for music , calls and sound, calls and music have some level of control over both through the factory steering wheel controls. It is a small black box that plugs into the back of the head unit where the multi disc CD plug goes, so you do loose the use of the CD stacker. I have one in my 2001 Range Rover Vogue and I have an Iphone XR connected wirelessly and an Ipod connected via a lead (it is equally happy with Android). You can also charge with it. I can be streaming music through the phone, answer a call from the steering wheel (which mutes the music whilst call is in progress and can have phone satnav and music coming though speakers too, though I love using my factory satnav. The company is called Grom. I am not sure if they are available in the US and Canada too. I paid about £150.00 for mine four years ago and it has not missed a beat so far. Call quality is very good as is music quality and you get to keep everything in the car factory! (Just thought I would share this in case any of you guys over the pond wanted the best of both worlds.
Awesome video (tip: shoot your slow B-roll clips in 60fps and slow it down to 24.. and if you’re using a camera make sure your shutter speed is x2 the FPS (I.e 60fps and 1/120 sec shutter speed) makes it nice and smooth)👌🏼
This summer I bought p38 1998 4.6 v8 gems on springs (3200 USD) , my father owns LX470 2001 , from US, and he was surprised after p38's testdrive on the nasty terrain.
Your slant on the Lex and the P38 " sharing" the fold-down tailgate design is (comically) Straight up misinformation, considering the Range Rover design dates to the 1960s, and as you said The Lex design goes back to 2008. It's not "shared"- it's copied!
P38 is timeless
I love p38s I've had 4 now over the last few years. None of them have been unreliable. I think they are the nicest range rover ever built
Why 4 if so reliable?
Classic is best looking tho
@@YoungEngineer-ew9en different specs, and if they needed some money, sell a p38 if they need more money and when things looking better buy another

Where'd you go?
Love the videos how did you get your nav to turn on I can’t get mine to? Thanks!
In statistics we call this silly correlation
To bad there are no cheap & nice used P38's anymore. They are selling for about 40k with low miles.
Nice comparison although 5000 pounds in weight on range rover ?? That doesn't sound right.
It might sound pretty crazy but pretty accurate
@@KalenVincent thank you. I'm further educated on one of my all time favourite cars !
$102,000.00 for what? To drive the same car as everyone else?

The lexus will be ugly in design no matter how tech forward it id
Get a Land Cruiser instead of this hidious Lexus.
