You can see at the start of the episode just how much things have degenerated because some of Yelena's people leaked how Eren is being kept imprisoned. The people of Paradis Island certainly didn't forget what an important role Eren played in saving them from the titans, cleaning the island of that threat.
"This feels extreme" - you summed up this episode perfectly in that one sentence, Magy.
Poor Hange is so out of her depth here. If you think about the first season, how much the Scouts just wanted to explore the world outside the walls, find out more about titans and now they're forced to play the same "dirty" role the Interior Police did, hiding the truth instead of exploring it, spreading it to the world.
The fact that they killed minister Zachary, the frenzied reaction of the people outside the gate chanting "Give up your hearts!" - it all feels like such a twisted perversion of all that the Scouts used to stand up for.
Eren and his happy little troop of Jaegerists - truly a cult of extremists and we've seen in real time how they formed.
That little reveal at the end, Pieck on Paradis Island - mindblown!

It's interesting watching someone see this for the first time; especially when you KNOW what's about to happen and just how deep the story goes. Personally Yelena was ALWAYS very suspicious to me. Not sure if anyone else felt the same. Still she always seems like she was riding that thin line to where she would become extremely violent at any simple word.

But the fact is that when Levi first appeared in the manga series some unofficial translations were rendering his name, which is pronounced "ribai" in Japanese, as "Rivaille". That made some readers call him "Ravioli". Also, a particularly clueless UA-cam manga reactor _(I can't remember which one)_ was reading that name "Rivaille" as "Rivalis".
More precisely, a severely mentally ill German man who pauses the video every 10 seconds to rant and cry about nothing while pretending to watch the show.

I know Japanese accents are hard for foreigners. Everyone struggles with the accents of "Onyankopon" and "Bertholdt". I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. Don't worry, just enjoy!

oh btw! I'm not sure if you ladies have already seen any of "Part 2" yet, but some would say skip the intro for now until about half way through season 4 Part 2. Granted it is probably THE best or one of the best openings to Attack on Titan in multiple ways.. but it's your call on it! Either way would love to see your reactions to the opening when you do watch it.
If you imagine that it's just like the Brand of Jeans "Levi's" perhaps you might get accustomed to saying it. But it isn't something to other let people bully you about. I mean personally I don't like when I say something incorrectly in another language and someone says "Yeah that's close enough." but then I continue saying it like that and other people look at me like I'm insulting them or like I'm not smart enough to learn the language, isn't a good feeling. But I know that different accents say some words differently. Don't let it get you down girls, at this point it's just funny and adorable to here you saying Levy like that.
And speaking of adorable; you guys should definitely do cosplay photoshoot dressed like Hange and Sasha. Laura can be Hange and Magy can be Sasha. from the way your faces are shaped and your different heir styles that's how I picture you. Of course, if you wear wigs then everything changes. lol. Or Maybe....Laura can be Hange and Magy can be Pieck. and if you get the chance, Trixy Blue can be Annie. Or maybe Historia.

So Fun Fact: The English Dub actress who does the voice of Hitch (the girl messing with Armin in the beginning) is Brittney Karbowski. She's best know for voicing Mikoto Misaka (A certain Magical Index), along with Black Star (Soul Eater). Personally I love her voice. It is very unique sounding and very seductive when she tries to be.
Well, if you think Eren is full of emotion now, you forgot the last few episodes. Eren's emotions are erased, and that is worse than to be controlled by emotions. If he control his emotions, he is acting knowing exactly the consequences of his actions... When he was controlled by his emotions, he did what he did, but was controlled. Now, he is not controlled. He is leading. And that's very different. If he was controlled by his emotions, why did he not kill Reiner at Revelio ? No girls, the Eren controlled by his emotions is not there anymore.
