Yeah about ep 12. Boros tanking Saitama’s punches doesn’t actually mean anything, he was just wayyyyyy stronger and far more durable than all the recent monsters, Saitama could’ve one punched him too if he wanted but since Boros shared the same boredom as him, he decided to prolonge the fight to give Boros what he himself couldn’t get, a real fight. Sadly Saitama still got bored from that, don’t mind how many time he got ragdolled for a while in this fight, Saitama did it on purpose to see if he could feel anything from Boros blows, which he didn’t. Another easy fight for him when you think about it.
I have a theory, Saitama lets people/monsters hit him so he knows how much power he needs to use to defeat them. Boros was holding back too, so Saitama underestimated how much power to use. Once Boros went all out then Saitama figured out he needed to use a serious punch to beat him once and for all.

One of my favorite things about one punch man is that whenever Saitama faces an enemy alone and kills them quickly, we really have no idea how strong they are. I believe its cannon that Vaccine Man, the first monster we ever see, was really dangerous, like a demon or dragon level enemy, but saitama kills them so fast that we can’t even really gauge their full power. Same with Groribas and Geryuganshoop. Goribas is apparently a dragon level threat, which means he has some power that could let him destroy an entire city, he might’ve been able to beat every other hero, but we’ll never know cause saitama pummeled him too fast.
21:16 You can see that Boros's punch can actually blew the clouds like smokes around. It's a bit simillar to when Saitama's punch stop the rain as he punch the Deep Sea King. That punch from Boros can actually kill some S Class Hero.
I like the layers of this episode. Some of Saitama's ex enemies are trying to make a living, and appeared terrified of the invasion. The weakest heroes are evacuating the civilians. The strongest class except tatsumaki are taking on the boss villain on the ground. Tats is basically soloing the whole giant starship. Saitama is cleaning up from inside - ironically his boss battles have been devastating the ship anyway. Had he not been there, tats would have won if not for Borus, but I doubt she could take him.

It's because he used up all of his latent energy within his body for his final attack "the Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon", and Boros explains that he uses his latent energy to speed up his regeneration process, so therefore when he fired his final attack, he did not have any latent energy left in him to regenerate. I can't explain too much in depth without spoiling but Amai Mask may grow on you over a long period of time. Interestingly enough from your current interactions with him you can think of it as he's kind of like the other side of the coin of All Might. He wants S Class to be the pillars of justice that everyone can rely on and strive to be. That's why he got so mad that they seemingly bungled so bad and let the city be destroyed. You'll see more of this interesting personality with Season 3 and beyond.

(For the solar system, but not for Saitama) 😂 Season 1 is a giant MEME, the best MEME I've ever seen. Season 2 to me is less of a meme, but still incredibly fun and enjoyable. The animation is somehow different from season 1, I'd not say worse, just different.
Mirroring Saitama's dream in ep 1 but with Boros as the one in Saitama's place is such perfect framing, and just like with Saitama it was a false dream, but for another reason. Neither person ultimately got what they hoped for from that fight.
By the way, Saitama felt bad for Boros, so he played along and let Boros do all he can do to satisfy his craving for a fight before saitama killed him. That's all. Boros indeed would have bodied anyone else there if not Saitama. It's a common fan theory that since Saitama wasn't a match for Boros but instead effortlessly thrashed him and didn't rekindle his love of combat, that the prophecy was actually referring to the next big antagonist after Boros, who would have been a proper fair fight for him. (not gonna say their name here to minimize actual spoilers) I think it's a fun idea, but it would also be on brand for the show if the alien oracle simply invented the prophecy out of nowhere to get Boros to leave her planet, just like how he says in the episode that it must have been bullshit

Another fun fact: In the manga when saitama used consecutive normal punches on boros in 24:05, his limbs and most of his brain were still intact from his attacks since saitama just hit him randomly and only destroyed the parts he hit, they changed this part on the anime wich doesnt really make sense cuz boros crazy regenerative powers is from his brain (he has abnormal regeneration naturally but it takes a long time to heal things like arms and legs, but by using his latent energy he can speed up that process) wich means he needs his brain for his god like regeneration to work, in the anime saitama destroyed his body as a whole leaving only a bit of his eye left wich doesnt make sense xd

I can't explain too much in depth without spoiling but Amai Mask may grow on you over a long period of time. Interestingly enough from your current interactions with him you can think of it as he's kind of like the other side of the coin of All Might. He wants S Class to be the pillars of justice that everyone can rely on and strive to be. That's why he got so mad that they seemingly bungled so bad and let the city be destroyed. You'll see more of this interesting personality with Season 3 and beyond.
Not to mention, he's the one running PR campaigns and getting investments for Hero Association.

Season 2 to me is less of a meme, but still incredibly fun and enjoyable.
The animation is somehow different from season 1, I'd not say worse, just different.
Mirroring Saitama's dream in ep 1 but with Boros as the one in Saitama's place is such perfect framing, and just like with Saitama it was a false dream, but for another reason. Neither person ultimately got what they hoped for from that fight.

Also, saitama's "serious" punch is not really that serious.. it's just that he made such moves back when he didnt have powers and wanted to be a superhero who can defeat all evil with a single punch.. and remember what desires do to people in this anime...? mmmmm.. interesting
Tatsumaki (the sassy, green-haired telekinetic) is really strong and if they do the story arc I hope they're doing in Season 3 then you'll get to see it.

It's a common fan theory that since Saitama wasn't a match for Boros but instead effortlessly thrashed him and didn't rekindle his love of combat, that the prophecy was actually referring to the next big antagonist after Boros, who would have been a proper fair fight for him. (not gonna say their name here to minimize actual spoilers)
I think it's a fun idea, but it would also be on brand for the show if the alien oracle simply invented the prophecy out of nowhere to get Boros to leave her planet, just like how he says in the episode that it must have been bullshit

I think I have a decent read on what kind of anime you might like and I seriously think you can't go wrong with either of these. Oh yeah, or Mob Psycho 100, like I commented on another video. All of them are solid choices.

I recommend alianimus to read the manga, almost 200 chapters, content to reach season 5 but still nothing yet😑 and there is still a lot more content in the future. Manga is epic. Yeah boros is literally an ant compared to Saitama. It's like comparing a grain of sand to a galaxy, no joke.
Do the OVA's before season 2, for more lore on the world. Also S2 wont be as good animation wise because it was done by a different studio with less time and S1 had TONS of high profile animators working on it which is almost impossible to live up to by most other studios.

Another fun fact: In the manga when saitama used consecutive normal punches on boros in 24:05, his limbs and most of his brain were still intact from his attacks since saitama just hit him randomly and only destroyed the parts he hit, they changed this part on the anime wich doesnt really make sense cuz boros crazy regenerative powers is from his brain (he has abnormal regeneration naturally but it takes a long time to heal things like arms and legs, but by using his latent energy he can speed up that process) wich means he needs his brain for his god like regeneration to work, in the anime saitama destroyed his body as a whole leaving only a bit of his eye left wich doesnt make sense xd
