‘Tell me Hange! If you got something up your sleeve let’s hear it’ Eren asked calmly
Eren’s outburst at Hange has such a deeper meaning than the surface level. People that are caught up will know Eren is, in that moment, basically begging her, almost like somebody saying, "Please, if you have some other way, some other solution, something that wouldn't lead to more people dying or going with what I'm doing now, you need to tell me." 😞 And something interesting, is that we tend to only see titan transformations when somebody'a been injured in some way. Eren, obviously, isn't injured or bleeding when he's getting so worked up, but we see lightning starting to erupt from him. Emotional wound?🤕
I do think Eren has so much control over his own body at this point, with how many Titans he's consumed, he's almost able to do anything he wants at any given moment, wound or not. :( But yeah, on what he meant for Hange, 100% true. He wanted her to do something, to think of anything to help him and the others escape what is going to happen.
We might just not see the wound, it may be very small, or on his leg, or even inside his mouth, like bitten tongue.

There's a reason Eren got aggressive with Hange, but you'll understand further down the road
On Eren laughing.. that is his response to trauma since his mom died. He would smile or laugh.. same when Hannes died in front of him.. overwhelming his response has been to laugh.. which is a common response to major trauma.
Many people say this but It's likely that he was just laughing at her saying "meat" as her last words as well as any other funny moments of Sasha he may have thought about too.
I did the same thing when I watched the 1st time, I laughed and then continued being sad

Many people do. But the thing is that Connie is either lying or too stupid to see what actually happened. Eren was completely calm and ONLY broke AFTER Connie told them what Sasha's last words were. I mean I get that Connie is not supposed to be "an intellectual" but it's VERY CLEAR that Eren was laughing at what Sasha said and NOT the fact that she was dead. To literally say he "laughed because she died" is a flat out lie.
Eren only laughed because he realised that nothing changed
@@patrickcromwell7554I always interpreted it as Connie also coping. He was blaming Eren for everything. The fact that Eren laughed at that time helped justify his idea that Eren had changed and therefore cannot be trusted anymore
@@CougheePls I could see that, on Connie's part. But some of the others were in the room when Eren laughed and none of them challenged Connie's logic. at least Magy and Laura realised WHY Eren laughed.

So, I've noticed that there is a difference in the translation with regard to the number of Colossal Titans in he Walls. In the Japanese version they say that the walls are constructed with thousands of Titans and in the American version they say TENS of millions of Titans.
The official numer should be one milion
What makes you think Eren is on the same side as the others? He attack Marley with consult any plan to his friends and Paradis, he force them to come and back him up, he kill civilian and careless about children dying, he maintain keep his plan quiet without telling to any of his friend after return back to Paradis, he intimidate Hange. What makes you think he's on their side? Eren is on his own side. Choose your side again....
I don't think Eren think he is on his own side. They talk about his point of view, not from the others. If your friend try to kill a murder who want to kill you, he is in fact on your side from his point of view, even if you're not agree with it.

Mikasa being royalty - things really are picking up this season, with surprises left and right! As interestingg a side plot point as this may seem, the ulterior motives of the the Azumabito sour that prospect very fast, being revealed that they're only interested in using Mikasa to advance their cause and monopolize the Paradis' resources.
Eren turning on Hange like that was heartbreaking - even more so considering how they started, how in awe Eren was when he first heard Hange talk about the titans, how much she knew about them.
The military leadership talking about Historia like she was an object - how quickly they forgot how much she did, how much she sacrificed by accepting the leadership role.
You can still see little glimpses of old Eren - like when he says he doesn't want any of his friends to inherit his titan - instead he wants them to live their full, long lives, not just 13 years. Deep down, he still cares.
15:04 both Jean and Connie make a good point here but Mikasa doesn't want to accept the truth - her version of Eren is hardly there at this point. Neither her nor Armin are willing to admit it.
About Eren's laugh - it's a very similar situation to when Dina (the titan who ate Eren's mom) ended up eating Hannes too, despite Eren's desperate attempts to transform and stop her. He was powerless to stop that as he was powerless right now to stop Sasha from dying.

This exactly why saving Armin over Erwin was Levi's biggest mistake. Armin is smart but politics and foreign diplomacy IS NOT his forte.
yes exactly him being smart againts the tian shifters in the previous seasons have nothing to do with politics i feel like erwin would have done much better
Foreign diplomacy was never anyone on the island’s forte to begin with. And Erwin’s biggest ever political venture banked on using his pre-existing connections with other high-ranking officials to turn the entire military against a helpless group of rich guys. So in other words, nothing remotely comparable to the islands’ unique political situation at this point.
@@axitumi Whether or not Erwin could handle something of this raw scale and complexity is purely conjecture; at best we know he would have higher authority than Armin to make plays the latter couldn’t. But that would be true irrespective of this situation.
Also, Erwin was at his breaking point in his final moments, was about to fulfill his entire driving force in life, and arguably wanted to die. To assume he’d be better off alive, much less as useful as he once was, is woefully naive. We’d likely be dealing with a very different man had he been forced back by Levi.
