At 5:58 I meant 2 years (not months) or as needed.

Yeah looks great, but the only problem I have with these type of systems is the proprietary filters. Company changes design or goes out of business and you’re assed out. Looks good though.

That is scary and something I hadn't considered. Thank you for that info.

I'm sorry but doing what you are suggesting bypassing the alkaline filter or not still requires knowledge of what minerals are in the water for adding brewing salts or not. My suggestion would be to have the water tested by Ward Labs for the minerals in both the alkaline filtered water and the non-alkaline filtered water.

@@egruber50 yeah but if the filter is bypassed and the tds is still 0 then there’s nothing in the water it’s a blank slate. That is what is entered into Brewfather, then add a profile to target hit auto and you build it from scratch. The Alk filter he us suggest is if you would like to drink said filter water, for non brew brewing.

@@Mangeeknetwork I would agree if everything is in proper working order. However I would still send the 2 samples to Ward Labs for confirmation. Just imagine if someone spent their money & time just to receive results that don’t confirm what the manufacturer claims. Let the buyer beware.

@@MangeeknetworkI’ve noticed lately that this channel is really pumping products to its subscribers. IMO if that’s what the content creator wants the channel to morph into that’s okay. However I’m sure I’m not the only one who notices this and at some point in the future I’ll just unsubscribe. I’m sure others may do the same because it then ceases to be about homebrewing and more about hyping products IMO.

All Good, I fully agree even 1 TDS is still something that would be nice to know what that 1 ppm is. I'm working on a video that can be applied to this filter system or really almost any like system. I'm going to show everyone in a video being released VERY SOON (based on what you are saying you probably already know how) how to put a 2 or 3 way inline bypass to allow a homebrewer to simply turn on RO, Alkaline, or Deionized water based on what they want to use with a small flip of a switch.

He is correct if the TDS is anything over 1. I've got a new video coming out tomorrow or the day after showing how to do a 2 or 3 way bypass allowing the home brewer to use this system or a like system to run RO, Alkaline, or Deionized water based on what they need. RO or Alkaline for drinking, RO for cooking or novice brewers, and Deionized for brewers that want to control their own brewing salts.
