- I bought Head Hoggers handy tool and wanted to show how it not only makes removing the shifter bushings easy; it also makes installing them easy too!
This is not a paid endorsement. I paid for this tool myself and was very impressed with it. It does not come with instructions and most videos just show the removing. I wanted to show how to use it to install the stock shifter bushings.
If you want to order this tool, or any of the other neat stuff Head Hoggers makes then here is their link. Just choose the tool:

I had a mechanic friend help with replacing the water pump to the retrofit kit this past November took about 5hrs. And much harley bashing on his part, all in good fun.😂
So far the M8 kit has done well for me. As a half arse mechanic, I have been known to bash whatever I am working on too. Mostly my knuckles though. :P
Awesome tutorial Anthony 🙂
Thanks Hippo-Drones!
I have a 16 limited water pump went out at 37,000. Do you still have original stator and regulator. Like your videos
Hey there Dave. Sorry to hear about the pump. I am on my 3rd one now. It is the M8 kit Harley made fit the dual cool TCs.
As far as stator and rotor, I am still rocking the original one.
Tools 👍
Fun things aren't they?😎
Hi Anthony..
Got a 2015 bike same as yours with 55k ..
What have you needed to do to the bike ,excluding brake pads and wheel bearings, over the years to keep it running ? I aim to hit 100k with mine ..
Many thanks for your videos. Rob
Hey Robert. Your name seems famaliar to me. Did you happen to win a Road King? Anyway, I have had the neck bearings replaced twice. Compensator is on the 4th one. Coolant pump is on the third one.
I believe that is all but I have mileage review videos of this bike.
Thanks for info...
Replaced water pump last year and just finished neck bearings ... compensator still OK.
Keep up the good work ..
P.S. Didn't win a bike 😢😢
I am glad yours is still overall doing well. I love mine even though it is not perfect. :) That water pump is a mess! The failures were not acceptable. I had the last failure happen in middle of nowhere on my way back from Laconia a couple of years ago. I have the old pump in the garage and have been wanting to do an autopsy to figure out why it failed.
The M8 pump kit is doing good so far.
