The auto rack with the pick up truck is very nice. Interesting the various load for the gondola and flat car. Cool video.

Great video. I think I may borrow a couple ideas here to fill some of my own gons.

Thank you for sharing. Fantastic loads, some really great ideas, like the Freightliner load just as I remember them. Very nice Mike.👍👀

Very nice video. I really enjoy "open loads" so I always enjoy seeing how other guys make theirs.

Awesome freight cars with realistic loads. I am particularly fond of the rail cars with the rail load, structural steel load, truck load and the automobile rack with the pickup trucks. Fantastic my friend 😀

Excellent video! I like your weathering of the insides of the cars. This gives me some great ideas for my gondola.

    Silly me
Watch vid, then ask question. Question might be answered during the vid…
Nice job fabricating the saddleback “step” for the first cab over rig

Great video. I am not sure how other modelers would do it, but when you drop one of the cars at a customers location do you take and "unload" the car and then pick up an "empty?"

    • @rimodeler7963

Hi Todd - I do not unload the car to create an empty. I actually secure the loads to the car so that they don't shift and move around while traversing the layout. I know there are a number of modelers that empty loaded cars to create empties, but that's not something I plan to do. Thanks for your comments. Mike

3:15 Rebar is much thicker than wire -- too thick to roll into coils. Wire loads that I've seen tend to be more of a dark grey colour, rather than shiny silver. Painting that one grey would make it look a lot more realistic. Same for the coiled steel on the next gon.

How would they remove the Freightliner’s off each other?

I’m not certain how the loading/unloading was done, but my assumption is that portable ramps may have been used to ease the front of the tractor on to an off of the adjacent tractor ….. either that, or a hoist/crane would have to be used. Thanks for watching the video. Mike

I think it is amazing that people are more worried about the look of their carriages and the weathering than making loads and having them RESTRAINED..... I see NO restraints on any of your wagons that are holding freight... not even on the machinery/vehicles....
