Ducati Monster 795 Battery Change Guide | You’ll never guess where the battery is located

  • The Ducati Monster 795 recently refused to start due to a dead battery that couldn’t be salvaged. Unlike other typical bikes, the battery placement on this Ducati Monster is very obscure. I decided to document and share it with you to show one of the quirks of owning an Italian bike as well as being a guide if you happen to need to change the battery on your Ducati Monster by yourself.

    Always great to have a battery tender and an SAE connection cable from the battery available.

    The battery was always under the fuel tank in the lowest position available, what's sad is that they managed to complicate everything on newer bikes by adding all kind of panels and things to be detached to reach what's under tank. That's why I love my S4(2001), after removing seat there's only a clip to hold the tank fixed that can be opened by hand then you only need a screwdriver to loosen battery connectors. More like a 10 seconds job to reach the battery.

      Yea exactly in the name of design they had to relocate the important bits where it’s tough to get to. The older monsters like the s4 are always awesome to listen to. I would be drooling over those (and find a few others like me) and the 999/916 etc over the newer panigales at a gathering.

    Is that 0008 code for TC and the 0005 for Battery? I'm having the same issue with my 2013 1100evo. no crank/no start with a 0008 r.SW.

    great video, very helpful! thank you!!!
    One questions, what year is your bike?
    i have a 2013 1100 EVO Anniversary Edition ... i'm assuming your process is the same

      Thanks glad you find it helpful!! Really hope it would help guide the community.
      My bike is a 2013 model same as your evo. I would believe the battery is at the same place as the design of the chassis is very similar to the 1100 if not identical.
      Btw awesome bike you have there. I always felt the need for a bit more punch and a single swing arm for the right looks. would love to own something like the 1100 someday. Especially the Anniversary edition. Ride safe!

    just wondering, you can't push/jump start your bike? since you are in the parking lot, easy to find a slope and roll your bike down

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  2 роки тому

      I would attempt to jump start if the dash lights up. The battery is too drained that it needs to be replaced.

    gud content bro..one question, where is the fuse box location? -new bie monster owner-

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  2 роки тому

      Hey bro the fuse box is out in the open in between the right side of the trellis frame. I wish they put that somewhere more secure like under the seat.

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  2 роки тому +1

      Hmm I’m no expert but could be a few reasons such as burnt stator, rectifier, connection. Did u get it checked by an expert?
