    Help! I changed resolution setting on the dvr/nvr and now the dvr/nvr is stuck showing 'please wait'.

      The higher the resolution, the better the image. However, please do not select the resolutions that exceeds the resolution of your monitor / TV or it may not be able to display. The DVR / NVR has below formats available, in four different aspect ratios:
      Standard (4:3) - 1024x768
      Standard (5:4) - 1280x1024
      Widescreen (16:10) - 1280x800,1440x900
      Widescreen (16:9) - 1280x720 (720p) , 1920x1080 (1080p) or 3840x2160 (4K)

      May we know that you can't add the device to the APP? If yes, please restart the local DVR recorder, then go to DVR/NVR's Main Menu--Set up>Basic>Date and time> to open Sync Time with NTP Server. Click "Update Now" to check if you get a success message. After you get it, please add the device again.
