Unfortunately you said nothing about the actual installation. 14 minutes of opening a box. Disappointed. This was one of the worst products i purchased and the worst non-existent technical support. I sent emails to the company and absolutely no response. too bad i took the time to open the box and could not return it.
Hi i dont know these cameras well.. to install at my home, do I Need extension cords (for power) , not cat6 cabling for ethernet? Is that how they work? Thanks!!
I have the ZR08KB 8 cam system and I want to use it hard wired. But I cant find the cameras thru the NVR. What am I missing? I have ethernet cords to all the cameras from my router and an ethernet cord from my router to the NVR. Shouldn't that work?
@@DIYReid I’ve checked it with and without power. 5 of the eight work with the wireless , ( power on) but none work with just the NVR and router powered. ( with no power to the cams)
@@DIYReid yea it’s a older set, but according to the manual, if you have cams that can’t get a signal you should be able to add an Ethernet cable from the router to the cam and the existing one that goes from router to the NVR. Well thanks for your responses.
probably true. I have the same NVR and hooked it up to VGA without problems. I changed the screen resolution to something a little bit higher than 1024x768 and later i tried the HDMI port with that higher resolution. Worked fine
I bought a Zosi system and the instructions are in minisculetypeface and can not be read on a phone and are very, very brief, like they were afraid of using too muck ink. The unit stopped transmitting to the phones and its almost impossible to get help as they are unable to deal with problems. $1000 wasted.
Hello there, Nice revieuw, i have another problem, contacted ZOSI support about this same system, but no good answer back, do you maby know how i can set the system so that it only scans between the 4 channels seperately with footage, instead of all 8 channels. Is it possible to shut/block the other 4 channels with no footage from scanning. Regards
@@lluvickdimitroff7431 hi found out 2 weeks ago how i must make the settings to scan with only 4 cams, go to youtube..type in there zosi support, search there for zosi dvr operation: live-main monitor there they explain how to set the settings for scan, leave camera's 1-4 on 5 secs, camera's 5-8 put to zero secs than confirm, click then in the basic menu on start scan. Regards Giovanni
They are still sending them out with the hdmi not working. They don't care. FYI they will change the name of this product to a new one and do it all over again.
I watch another review of the same product and the guy said that in order to work the hdmi is first you need yo plug the vgr first and set up on settings the hdmi output or something like that to make it work.
I had the same problem. With HDMI nothing on TV. I changed the cable to another and the smart TV recognized the NVR signal Immediately. Problem Solved. Greetings from EU. 🤙

Since it records to hard drive, why did you put a card in camera?
How good is it on distance and going across 2/3 walls?
Thanks
Hey can you make a video showing how to connect, so it will show on your phone?

Are the cameras powered?

It’s been a while since I used this system but I think with this one you have to wire them to the NVR

I don’t have one yet, but I have heard that it must be hooked up with vga so you can then select hdmi.
Idk how accurate that is tho.

Hey did you every figure out what the fix was for the HDMI I have the same system you do just with 4 cameras and I ran into the same problem?
You only need internet if you’re going to view the cameras on your phone.
I believe he's asking if they ever figured out the tv connection issues you were having. Not the phone...

How do I set my camera to scan 24/7
Can we get an "itself" count?
Maybe.
The actual count is actually on the actual actual actual. I actually hope this actually helps.
Actually it does.
Can you make a video how you add new cameras to the zosi Nvr system
They have one of the worst tech support i have ever dealt with. I own 3 8ch systems will never buy them again.
What is the right hard drive for this camera
How do you reset your Zosi camera, and change the code
We’re needing help with the best way to get power cords. We don’t have power outlets outside everywhere.
you are on target with this...cheap security system with an 800 electrician bill to get power around the house
Can you hook the hdmi to a laptop
no, hdmi on laptop is only video OUT
For it to work on other tvs u need to change the resolution to HD and the wifi distance sucks
cool product
I got a new Wi-Fi, how do I remove old Wi-Fi and set up new Wi-Fi and password
No pinned comment guess it wasn't resolved
It was resolved. VGA must be used first to go into settings and change to hdmi output..
Did not work on my tv either
I like i can use a tv screen.
Yes. It’s nice.
If HDMI doesn't work on your TV the VGA will
Correct. But my HDMI port on the TV works.
Thats great if the v g a is not in use already. They need to stop sending them out knowing they don't work.
