So I'm having trouble with my screen camera straighten up just one I'm just trying to figure out what should I do I have one on the front one on two sides of nose side

I'm not really familiar with security systems.. I bought one from ebay once and it was a mess trying to understand the operation... I'm mostly wanting a camera system that is always on and showing the screens while i'm home.. And only records motion when someone walks past it... I also would like to have it to where i could always watch my camera's online while i'm gone,, and would like to easily be able to go straight to my recorded videos and also not have to worry about my hard drive being full.. I understand that all of these systems will do what i'm wanting.. But i wish they made a system that was basic without so many bells and whistles to confuse me...

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Our DVR can't support the external hard drive, you need to buy an internal hard drive(3.5 inch)
to install. (Like Sumsung, Seagate or Western Digital (purple))

Can I use my laptop monitor for setting up the camera system?
how does the weather affect these cameras? i've seen on the product page its rated down to -20c, would exposure to lower temperatures permanently damage the camera or just hinder the quality of the video.
We do not recommend that the camera be exposed to high or low temperatures for a long time, which may affect the use of the camera.
Here is what we are dealing with regarding the Zosi backup. Our office got broken into Christmas Sunday and we need to get the backup to the police. However, when we do a backup, the part where it shows the guy's face, the backup file gets split in half and leaves out the part with the face in it. So the most important part does not get backed up. Also, when we select a certain timeframe to be recorded, ex. looking for a 1 min deal, we get a 30 min recording showing up. This whole back up thing is not working well, it's not very user friendly. If you have a solution to who to back up within the timeframe indicated and not splitting it up, please make a video for that. Thank you.

Can you hook up 2 separate monitors. One via hdmi and one vga and have different cameras on each one. Cam 1-4 on one and 5-8 on the other. Or do both monitors have to show the same thing.
First of all I ordered a 4 channel DVR that was supposed to be 1080p and received an 8 channel DVR that is 720p. I was dealing with that until I tried to hook it up. It says that I can view the cameras without internet but how? Please let me know how to set this system up without the internet. I tried calling but a recording in Chinese comes on then the phone hangs up. Very frustrating.

How do I keep my display monitor screen to show 4 cameras view. It keeps defaulting to 9 cameras display boxes. So I see 5 blank/black boxes along with my 4 cameras on my monitor.

Like your video I too have only installed 4 cameras and used the option to only show the 4 images. But the system wants to default to showing 8 squares with 4 of them blank. How can the system only show on the screen 4 live cameras and not the empty ports?
If you bought 8CH DVR with 4 cameras, and don't want the monitor to show all channels, you can click "Multi" to select the channels you want to show. Then return to the menu and click "Stop Scan".
Note: please don't click "Start Scan". Otherwise, the settings will not be saved, it will jump to the default channels automatically.

None of our DVR system require an internet connection to be used locally. The internet connection is used to allow remote connection using a smartphone app or PC client. I am a Systems and Network Engineer and I've installed several video camera systems. I went with the ZOSI NVR because of the POE tech because I won't use wireless. The initial install was easy, but DON'T EVER LOOSE YOUR PASSWORD!! The service has been absolutely horrible, they sent me the firmware upgrade but failed to tell me the front and back USBs are the same and the mouse must be unplugged!! It's taken over a month and they've been awful!! Plus, they're in China so you won't get to email back and forth because of the 12 hr time difference. You CANNOT SPEAK TO ANYONE - EVER!!

What do you mean by "the mouse must be unplugged". For what? You mean to install the firmware upgrade you have to unplug the mouse? Otherwise it won't work? And what does this have to do with your password? Or is that a different issue?

i just got this today took awhile but i have everything hooked up and going ok 2 issues so far 1st issue is one camera said no video but i noticed that at the dvr thing if i pull lightly up on the cord it works so I used a black tis that was warped to cords in packaging so that seamed to solve the issue shouldn't have todo that with a new system but whatever its working now the 2nd issue is a bigger deal for me and i need this solved please help as i have gotten everything up and running "i have yet to try app thing out the hose yet" but my issue for now is i cant get the email to work as i have everything right but keeps giving me a error message and fails i really wanted this system for that feature that will take a snap and send me a email

I guess the one thing ZOSI is keeping a secret is how to view a video from say yesterday or the day before that. My play back seems to go back 30 minutes. I have a 1T hard drive. But don't have a way to view older videos.

Hi, ZOSI Smart/ZOSI View app can live view, manual start and stop recording on the live view screen as well as play back the above manual recordings and play back the schedule recordings which were set on the DVR. You can view as long as the videos recorded (manual recording and schedule recording) by dvr.

Our R&D team has debugged the matching camera and DVR/NVR to the best rendering effect before leaving the factory. In order to avoid some users changing the settings and affecting the image quality and experience, the NVR will automatically recognize these parameters of the camera, so we will These parameters are set to a non-debuggable state.

I have this system and am having a problem with single camera not staying on monitor. It keeps going back to 8 camera capacity showing when I only have 4 cameras connected. Simply will not stay on one camera.

Since there is only one usb how do you connect the mouse AND key board?
The camera system only needs to connect the mouse, the keyboard will be displayed on the monitor.

Hello, I have had our system for a while now and now I am trying to install a coaxial PTZ camera to the system. It recognizes the camera but the point tilt and zoom doesn't want to communicate with the camera. I am using the power supply that came with the camera but nothing. been having my zosi system for 4 months now nothing but problems, camera works great great playback ,system shuts down whenever it wants (looses contact with cameras). takes 1 hour to two hours to get it back up online. very frustrating this system a big waste of money. can't call anyone because no one answers, sent email for support on cameras 1st request for support got answer 3 days later, 2nd request 5 days 3rd, 4th and 5th request 6 days each,6th request 1 month ago still no response. please use a different system not associated with zosi.

Hi Nancy, can you please check out the mouse, does it work(left click as well as right click)? If ok, then please try to restart the dvr or upgrade the dvr.
Mouse that came with the camera system will not work in any of the ports, no Right click noLeft click, no anything on the screen

Do you have any trouble with you cameras freezing up
Jon mate freezing tends to only happen if you have slow or problematic internet to the dvr and or the device your trying to view it on has slow connection to the internet or is simply crap to start with cpu and ram wise, so couple of factors to cause freezing but its not going to be the dvr buddy. The dvr's have no freezing problems. I have installed many of these systems.

My zosi stop recording 24 hrs. I had it fir about 3yrs now. I have a 1tb so I figured I'll upgrade to a 4tb sinceit stop recordingfor 24hrs. I'm still getting 6hrs of recording. The park that sucks is it doesn't tell you or have a recording option. Don't know what else to do but buy a different system. How can I fix this issue?

Hi, did you contact our customer service team before? And where did you get the SPD? From ZOSI Team? Because the password reset needs your system UID, with that we will use the SPD to creat a super password for you.
And there's two types of super password (short and long) for different models. Can you tell us your system model? If ok, please also send your system UID number to us via email at service@zositech.com or market@zositech.com
Need help how do I make the 4 cameras record 24/7 ? And the app sucks.
If you want the system to record 24/7, you need to set up the record manually. Please go to DVR's Main Menu - Setup - Record to enable the channels you want to record. Then click "Apply" to save the setting. Then return to the main menu, you will find "Start Record" / "Stop Record" button, please select "Start Record", after that, you will find a green icon on the channels you selected to record, the system will record all the time.
I have an issue with the ZOSI system I bought a few years does not record anymore...I format the system but only gets to 90%...it saids FAILED TO FORMAT THE DISK ...please help

Can you help me I can not play back video,I not see any sata disk.....it is recording but it is not saving the video
First of all, please make sure that your DVR/NVR system has installed the internal hard drive. Our DVR/NVR can't support the external hard drive to record, and without a hard drive, it cannot record and playback.
I have a zosi kit but when I try to playback it says no data
Please check if the DVR/NVR recorder box you purchased contains a hard disk.
How do I boost my IR range

If I get a wife box and connect through Ethernet cable will I be able to connect the camera app to my phone, the Zosi box dosnt seem to connect to my wireless internet
If the camera system is successfully connected to the network, then it can be added to the phone APP.

Can you playback and view live from your phone?
Yes. But the recorder needs to install an internal hard disk in advance, otherwise the system will not be able to record and view playback.

You can right click mouse on the monitor/tv, select Colour - Select this option to be taken to a Live View of the selected channel and reveal the Colour options. Select your channel from the drop down menu, and adjust the Brightness, Hue, Saturation, Contrast or Sharpness of the image using the menu. Increase the values by left clicking on the + sign, and decrease the value by clicking on the the - sign. You can always restore default settings by pressing the Default button at the bottom of the menu. Please confirm any changes by left-clicking on the Save button.

Like video but I was looking for how to use only what I am using. And to keep it at. As I have a 16 channel. And only using 10 out 16 and won't stay at the number of channels. After 3 to 5 min goes back to 16 channel. HELP PLEASE. Loved your video

Hi mine won't let me change anything in the record bitrate section, do you have any idea why?
Our R&D team has debugged the matching camera and NVR to the best rendering effect before leaving the factory. The NVR will automatically recognize these parameters of the camera, so we set these parameters to a non-debuggable state.

I purchased one of these systems and every time at night when it detects something the light comes on and the camera starts beeping. Neighbors and people working in the building do not want to hear this beeping. Does anyone know how to turn it off? I cannot find any setting in the DVR that will allow me to do that.
