What is the setting for the Scott’s easy green rotary spreader or is the Scott’s evengreen drop spreader better?

Hi Matt - I’ve over seeded with pitch perfect & seed start. Cut for the first time today on highest setting. It’s coming on well but what’s the best help I can give it at this stage beyond regular watering? Dark green fert. Or seaweed or both/ neither
Hi Mark after your first cuts then move to the dark green lawn - make sure to spread it evenly and water it in. If in doubt low setting on Spreader and multiple passess I'm different directions
Given that all of our lawns are toasted and brown now, if I wanted to get rid of the old grass and seed a more or less new lawn, do you think it’s okay just to scalp it with a mower and seed or should I kill off the grass first? I’m only going to do something once the rains return.
Up to you really you can reseed without killing the existing grass just fine
I've been using it for a month or so . The difference is remarkable. Best product I've used .. a great recommendation 👍

Hi Matt, great videos, thank you. Just to confirm, you can mix the Green Machine and Seaweed plus and apply in once application at the right dilutions?
Yes you can do that! Technically they can also be applied separately at the seaweed likes to be watered in and the green machine doesn't but I normally spray together then water in after a day or two if needed

hi, I just bought the dark green lawn fertiliser, how many times per week do I need to spread that over my lawn? FYI I have just cut my grass. THANKS!
The granular dark green lawn feed can be spread once every 8-12 weeks

I bought the same seafeed as yours and it says to feed it every 28 days but I am planning every other week. Would there be any issues?

Can I ask, have you had any problems with that fert/ seen spreader?! I have one and it’s absolutely appalling, just clogs up and dumps piles of fert after about the second pass on the lawn. Always result in throwing it across the grass to do a better job. Wonder if the manual winding ones are better
Not with our feed, the micro granules flow very easily through it
I’ve used the fertiliser and it’s burned my lawn in few patches…would that mean I applied too much ? Any advice on how to get those burnt spots back to life?
Hi Nathan yes it could be uneven application or needing water. Best way is to water water water!
Depends if you have “grass” in your lawn. Usually I find, if it’s full of weed grasses, then fertiliser does that.

Hi I have just scarified and overseeded my lawn. I have added a granular feed for new lawns. How long should I wait before I can apply green machine and seaweed? And then how long before I can use dark green lawn feed. Once u have used dark green lawn how long should U wait before Applying green machine and seaweed
Hi Red, seaweed plus can be used right away and the green machine can be used when all your grass is established. Those treatments can be repeated every 4 weeks in conjuction with the dark green lawn feed which will require one application to feed up to 12 weeks
Do you have any advice on how to tackle dog pee burns on the grass?
How you handling the heat Matt? Mine lawn has hit the skids and gone dormant.
Just going to order both products on Amazon, I feed my lawn with miracle grow fast green on June 1st. I don't want to overfeed the lawn can you tell when I should use your product. Brilliant Videos very helpful.
Hello most liquid treatments are fast acting so typically after 6 weeks the dark green lawn feed can be used then wait for two weeks then use the green machine.

Hi Matt, We have a Dachshund sausage dog....... After first, trying the Westland 'Child and Pet friendly' lawn feed, the results of colour and growth of my lawn, were very disappointing. I then found your excellent YT channel....... purchased your 'Dark Green lawn feed'. The results have been amazing in just a week, with regular light watering. I’ve recently used the Dark Green for the first time, and I’m very impressed. Having a dog and lots of hard surfaces in my garden means that it’s really the product for me! Highly recommended and a must for your lawn !

I purchased a wee 2n1 scarifier n rake. My grass needs a verticut as its too thick. Should i use the aerate attachment on a high setting or the scarifier on high setting? Im also from uk too so. Would i be able to apply your dark green product after the light verticutt as it hasnt been fed in a few months. ??

Any tips for people with dogs that pee on the lawn?
Hi I’m looking to put down a new lawn in the near future as doing a full Reno, in the uk do we have an option to use a grass that grows like a vine? I think it might be called Bermuda. You often see it in hotter country’s like Spain, Greece Australia. I just think it feels nice and spongy to walk on and looks fuller as they are thicker leaves…. I can’t find anything online hope you can point me in a direction
Ryegrass is what you want. Hardwearing and stays green during hot weather.

How long do I need to wait from planting new seed before it’s safe to use this product? Looking to order but not sure if I can use it yet.
After your first few cuts when the seeds or turf is established then you can use the dark green lawn. For the green machine the grass should be established as it can dehydrate new seedlings.

🏆🏆🏆 thank you! The granular has no iron in it so no real technical need to but I would suggest to do so if possible as you don't want the dog on the wet grass really
Great video I've just purchased the liquid iron does it need watered in a few hours after applying or just left after spraying to settle in

Keep raking up seed heads and cutting them but honestly there's no stopping it. Not the solution but after acceptance the iron greens it up to blend the colour abit 👀

Normally using the rotary then due to soft ground so either 30 or 40mm
