I get asked how I clean my cast iron. Here is a short video of what I do #castiron #outdoorcooking #cookingwithcajun #cajuninthemountains #cajuncooking #cajunborn
I grew up cleaning them by washing with hot water and sometimes Dawn dish soap (when it’s bad and I need the soap to lift the food off) and then put on the stove until it’s dry and it’s way hotter than I would stick my hand in and then as you said whatever oil you want but I turn the stove off and let it slowly cool over the heat as the heat dies, just don’t let it start smoking.
Sir you are the truth! We all appreciate you sir
Those cast iron pots and skillet will last a long time this is easy breezy cleaning thank's for sharing 💯
Clean ours with a stainless steel pot scrubber. Like my granny taught me in 1958.
I collect antique and rare cast iron and that's how I petty much do mine.
Like the setup you've got there.
Damn Good Idea.
How interesting that I liked their work❤❤😊😊🎉🎉
We do it same way like what you do

Hello Sir, my name is Elias and it is a pleasure watching your videos. I use Olive oil.
👏
It's a lot of work getting that cast iron right for cooking. Keeping it there is the trick. I love my bread skillet.
Yep, that's about it. 👍
Justin Wilson would be proud!
My granny tanned my hide with a switch for using dish soap in her skillet.. All she did was boiled water in it and used a wooden spoon to scrub it
What cast iron pans and pots do you recommend? What is your go to.
What was that scrubber? Steel wool?
What size is the water pot
Hey Rut. How are you and Angel doing. This is Kenny and Sabrina.
