My hubby had never even heard of jambalaya before we met 23 years ago. It took about a year to school him on how to make it properly but since then I would stack his version up against anybody else's! He uses shrimp, chicken, and andouille sausage!! It's sooooooo good and the perfect compliment to a cold beer and some cornbread! Darn, now I'm hungry!
Now I've watched a couple of my neighbors to the south of south arkansas but i think ive found the cook that i feel is on point, no added props just straight cooking.
@bubba_h_864 You know we say that jokingly, (won't let you go hungry) but there seriously are people that will let you literally go hungry when you visit. Sinful.
His cooking is about heat management, and those handles he uses are so unique. I made the MF'r cornbread and it is to die for. I think I want to try his Cajun seasonig for sure.
Good food,Good cooking, Love the kitchen, Took me back to the 60's My mother and grand mother had the kitchen outside , The smell surrounded the farm, We ran back to grand ma because food is ready ,👍🤝
Your cooking Sir is a goal of mine to EAT I know how it looks is even better on the taste buds. Seasoned Iron cookwear and your recipes. God bless you Sir.
Your adventure with your utube has really grown, Im play catch up with your past videos. I love the fact you now have your own seasons now. I have a question for you all . Do you go to your states Mountain Men's Rendezvous ? Thats where I like to go buy wrought-iron tri pods and accessorie's for home and campsite cosine.
Sir you definitely need to make a cookbook. Because.I know with out a doubt that a lot of people would buy one. I know that I definitely would buy one in a heart beat. Please just think about making a cook book. 😂
Hey there, have a buddy from the Army down in Louisiana we go down, and that sure looks good like to have a bowl of it with you and drink a beer with you thanks for your video
That smoked sausage looks quite similiar to what is the Swiss national sausage. You are using plenty of it. Cooking over wood fire is just fantastic. It provides a unique taste to the food and it's just the most natural way of cooking. I absolutely love it. By the way. Did't know you would use Worchester Sauce, but i always used it for Jambalaya. It was like intuitive.
I don't think the wood fire gives it any specific flavor because it's in a pot he's not smoking it dude... and he didn't use any Worcestershire sauce, he used Want-your-sister-sauce just listen again🤣
Your way looks like the right way. Thank you for the video. You made it seem easy. Can you repeat the name of the Cajun spice mix that you added to the trinity? I didn't "catch" what you said.
We cant have jambalaya ..without some muhfukin COHN BREDDD
