“DONNIE BRASCO” (1997)….
It’s a must!! 🔥
fugetaboutit
@@dontletherspeak7575 Yes! 😂. It’s actually on tv right now ironically! Lol
Absolutely
😮
“It’s a fugazi!”
He's both Scarface and the Godfather 😂
.....smh
that one sentence can sum up this whole channel😂
@@rg1854 baby steps 😂
He played the young Michael Corleone
@@PrestonJefferson-h3w don't enable them
For some strange reason this CLASSIC FILM RARELY gets reacted to.
Right?
This movie deserves much more respect.
He'll yeah. You're doing one of the underrated classics! Nobody does this. Thank you so much
"Heavy Duty, Heavy Duty!"
Agree, this is so underrated! It’s great!
Al Pacino is so versatile. He can play Italian, Cuban, and Puerto Rican. 😂
And Play the Devil !
He wouldn't be allowed to play those roles today.
@@MrPunkd113sure he would
@francisalbert1799 No he would NOT be allowed because he is not Hispanic
@@film-maniac why wouldn’t he be allowed? He did a great job. Your snowflake mentality is nauseating I’m done with you
The guy that played Mafia Boss Tony Taglialucci was involved with the mafia in real life. His real name is Frank Minucci and he was connected to the Gambino Family. He changed his life around, became religious and got into acting.
Also, the guy who played Pete Amedesso (the mafia guy with the big mustache and sunglasses) used to be a crook/gangster before acting. RIP Richard Foronjy.
The Italian son who shot Kleinfeld in his hospital bed... played Tony Sopranos's father, "Johnny boy" in the Sopranos series.
Dude plays a good mobster!!
Al is everything ... also Scent of a Woman is a must
I wish more reactors reacted to this movie because it's amazing, it tends to get overshadowed by "Scarface" and it being the more mainstream pop cultural known.
Also, this will always be a criminally underrated movie. Al Pacino and Sean Penn are off the charts.
This one time in Bandcamp was everything!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also Sean Penn’s transformation as the lawyer the curly hair and round glasses …one of the best!
@@bryancarr8578 Wasn't he nominated for an Oscar for this role?
@@jumpingmanatee not sure but should’ve been ?!
Carlito's Way is my favorite gangster movie!!
Great reaction!!
I gotta say.. I'm also a Puerto Rican from the Bronx. But. I'm no Benny Blanco. This is one of my favorite gangster movies, though. And yet? I often forget that it's one of my favorite gangster movies. It's so good, I even read the books the movie was based on and discovered that the author (Edwin Torres) was a total badass in real life. Look him up if you dare.
Brian DePalma directed this, Scarface, Carrie, Blow Out and The Untouchables. He's an amazing director.
Yea. Great director. Sh!tty human.
DePalma is the tail of 2 careers... those films you mentioned are incredible...all in a row... however after this he did films like mission to Mars and snake eyes which flopped. But he is great... you are right about that
@@robogreek3157 Snake Eyes isn't perfect but it's not terrible either.
Body Double, underrated imo
FUN FACT:
The mob guy Carlito talked to at the beginning is the Columbian guy from the chainsaw scene in Scarface.
Also the henchman that summoned Carlito was also Scarface's bodyguard.
"Give me the cash I kill you or your brother it makes no difference to me !"
" F you !"
Such an overlooked movie. When it comes to gangster movies needs needs more love.
ABSOLUTELY!!!!
18:06 Charlie is the English way of saying Carlos. Miguel is Micheal, Jose is Joe. My grandpas name was Carlos but everyone called him Don Charlie
"Toot toot." Major Payne. Great reference!🤣👍🏽
"Don't break my mirror; you gonna have to fix that." 😂
Jorge Porcel didn’t speak a word of English. The reason Saso looks so lost all the time is because he learned his lines phonetically and was just reproducing the sounds without knowing what he was actually saying. Now, that’s an actor. 💯
The other mafia son played young Tony Sopranos dad during his memory episodes.
VIGGO DID A PERFECT NEWYORICAN ACCENT BRO
He speaks perfect spanish in real life.
Every time I watch I yell at the tv RUN CARLITO and I always hope one time he makes it 😢
SLEEPERS is another great FORGOTTEN movie.
I can recall seeing that movie at the time it came out and knowing nothing about it. Me and a few friends went to the theater and just picked that one only because it had Robert De Niro in it. We walked away shaken to the core.
Yeees fantastic movie
@@chipsdad5861 that movie made me sick to my stomach. I swear I love Kevin Bacon but I haven't been able to look at him the same since.
Damn right R.I.P Brad Renfro. He was a Tennessee boy. From Knoxville.... I played lots of gigs down in Knoxville. He is one of Tennessee's "Boys" you know?
Brilliant film but its a lot
Benny Blanco from the Bronx!! 😂
Great reaction guys! Some notes:
--When you said "I think Tony Soprano sent him" - that was the actor that actually played Tony's dads lol (Johnny Boy Soprano)
--If you want to see some great John Leguizamo movies from the 90s, check out "Hangin With the Homeboys" or "Executive Decision"
--You guys always make me laugh. Thanks!
Carlos means Charles in English
Just like
Pedro is Peter in English
Juan is John in English
👍
Great movie 🎥!! Al Pacino is the 🐐 of acting imo
I love you both, thank you for bringing me joy at work when I can listen :)
Asia's face in the thumbnail 🤣🤣🤣
John Leguizamo did play Luigi, that was mad random for her to remember him from Super Mario brothers but she was right 😂
44:44 Funny comment because that actor played Tony Soprano's father (Johnny Boy Soprano).
Didn’t watch the whole review yet…. but i worked at Blockbuster and this was 1 of the movies i always recommended. No complaints ever….🎉🎉
One of my all time fav films. Classic.
Hearing “In and out” in a mafia movie, is like hearing “I’ll be right back” in a horror movie. Or “This won’t hurt a bit” in a doctors office.
Oh, wow!! Just watched this yesterday for the 20th time..lol One of my favorites ❤
Can't go wrong with Al Pacino
Heat is another great Pacino movie
Hoo wah!
The foot chase in this movie, I think might be the second best of all time. Point Break has the best, I think. It's close.
LEGENDARY!!! One of my top 5 movies of alltime.
WOW! What a great choice - again. A truly exceptional Movie. Terrific performances by Pacino and especially Penn. So emotional at the end.👌❤️
Love the reaction, guys as always!!! Btw , Gayle refers to Carlito as Charlie because Charles is English for Carlos or Carlito. 🇵🇷🇵🇷 appreciate you guys!
they made a prequel to this guys hope yall watch it sometime its called carlitos way rise to power! its another actor playing carlito before he got locked up! mario van peebles and diddy are in it too.
😅😂(22:50)ASIA; "I Thought He Was A Stand Up Guy." BJ; "NOW HE IN A WHEELCHAIR!"😅😂😅🤣🤣 Y'all are so Hilarious.
I laughed so hard too!
im sure this is where jay z got the line in it was all good just a week ago!used to be a stand up now you sit up and aim
The best movie with " goodfellas"!!! Bravo❤❤
Good one saw it in the theater when it first came out back in November 1993
He was definitely Luigi! 😂😂😂
You two are my favorite people to watch on UA-cam
Thank you so much for watching and supporting our channel
Asia is so beautiful, I love her laugh and her smile.
Luis Guzman is so underrated as an actor.
Oh man, what a movie. I know this about to be a great watch with y'all. Pacino is the badass.
I'm so flabbergasted to see this thumbnail. 🥰 I will watch this reaction directly. I watched them film some of this when I was in college. I'll tell you where after I watch the reaction. I think this might actually be my favorite Brian De Palma movie although I still say it's BODY DOUBLE. It definitely has my favorite performances of Sean Penn, Viggo Mortensen and John Leguizamo. 😁 I'm so excite! 😊
Ok so 16:30 we watched them film for hours that night. They used a rain machine. After every take Al had to go back to his trailer and get his hair done again and put on new clothes. They had a whole row of those jackets. I got one like it at a secondhand store a while later so I always wondered if it was one of them. 😊
The club Carlito ran in this is called El Paraiso. That's a reference to one of De Palma's other cult classics THE PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE (1974). It's a sort of reimagining of The Phantom of the Opera but I think it predates the Broadway musical. It would make a great Halloween time watch if you guys are interested. If you want more Pacino for spooky season you can try THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE (1997). It costars one of Asia's crushes.
BJ, I don't need to tell you this but of course when you are watching certain scenes with Asia choose your words carefully, lol
His "heart beats forever " - through his unborn child...
Yall would really enjoy Pacino in 'Scent of a woman' 😊
HOOAH !
By the way, today is the Director's birthday! So quite a happy coincidence!
"ok I'm reloaded" and a lot of Carlito's dialogue was used by Jayz on the 1999 "Life And Times Of S. Carter" album
Even in "Reasonable Doubt" (1996) before the track "Can't Knock the Huste" starts.
Omg yeees I've been screaming this movie for a minute😂 this is Al's most underrated movies.
I loved Carlitos Way just as much as Scarface maybe more Im so glad you guys are finally gonna see it now!!!
You two are a roll with these killer movies from back in my day when Hollywood actually had good writers and story tellers who could make an original movie from a series of books that was actually worth watching more than once. I love this movie it is in my top 10 - 20 movies. You just can't beat an Al Pacino movie. ❤👍 Asia and BJ you guys are the 💣.
Leguizamo plays the crazy hell clawn in the Spawn
Love you two, awesome to see how far you've come over the years!
Thanks so much!!
My favourite crime movie ever!! Love it. A perfect film!! 😁 benny blanco played sid the sloth in ice age 😁. A bit of trivia 😁
So many great small parts. Viggo and Luis are legends.
The only thing that I don’t like about this movie is them showing him getting shot in the beginning
The guy who played Tony T's son who shot Sean Penn's character played Tony Soprano's father in an episode where there were flashbacks to when he was a kid!
12:35 "Here come the pain!" lol Use that line whenever you can
John Leguizamo was jn fact the guy that played Luigi
He also played in John Wick
He played the clawn from Spawn😂 tough sh*t
My 3rd favorite movie of all time and the other 2 are also Al Pacino movies! #1 Scarface and #2 Godfather 1 & 2
Wow we got Pacino movies in are top 3. Mine is 1. Godfather part II 2. Heat 3. The Godfather
@@rxtsec1 Godfather 2 is also my favorite of all the Godfather movies! The original is almost tied with it but the 2nd is just my favorite
…..tremendous reaction to one of my favorite movies 💪🏾💪🏾❤️
Guy in wheelchair is Aragorn from Lord of the Rings
and history of violence! he was gangsta in that too.
But man he was great in Hidalgo!
Oh man, this is a classic as well. I already know it’s a good reaction!
'Scarface', this and ''Donnie Brasco' make for a great Pacino triple bill.
I'm glad I arrived late to the theatre when I saw this; it was still a surprise when I got to the ending
Awesome reaction as always. ❤ "Carlito's Way" at it's heart is a really meant to be felt as a tragic love story. ✌
The innocence 😅😅
Sean Penn was amazing in this movie 🎬 🎞 🎥
Carlito's mistake was going back to his old neighborhood and taking anything to do with Kleinfelt
Wait, I gotta get a snack for this! I’ve been waiting for someone to react to this movie! It’s one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy it!
The first time I watched this movie i felt sorry for Carlito but now that im i older i realised this whole thing was his fault. He tried to go straight but went back to his old neighbourhood and hung out with the same gangsters who were still involved in crime when he was younger. He got 30k at the start thats like 300k in today's money he should've just gotten a normal job and married Gale. But all in all it was a fantastic movie
It's his loyalty to old friends that did him in. Sometimes, you have to look after yourself instead of your friends.
The quotable from the bathroom was also on jay z first album Reasonable Doubt. He had one of his ppl say those lines
Good catch! I’ll have to go back and listen to Reasonable Doubt.
Yes! ❤ loved this reaction! Right there woth scarface. Same director, too! Perfect movie for you two's.
That damn ending. I feel you BJ. I feel you brother. It's been 30 years and I'm still pissed off.
One of my fave films ever. Sean penn's wig alone...
If you haven't seen "The Untochables" I recommend it 👌 it's fire 🔥! Luv your guys reaction videos
Once Kleinsfeld whacked Tony T it was over for Carlito and he knew it
The lady dancing in the club when he begins thinking about Gail is a different woman. Her resemblance reminds him of Gail.
People got y’all watching some 🔥 🔥 🔥
Guys, I recommend Seven Samurai.
Wind River (2017) is amazing, y’all gotta review that!!
One of my favorite movies. It's a masterpiece!
One of my favourite movies of all time, glad you picked this 😊
One of Pacino's best acting
That end scene with Penelope Ann Miller was outstanding made makes tear up every time great acting by her as well !
Benny Blanco from the Bronx!
Immediately clicked on this once it showed up !
Excited to watch this one with you both !!
If Carlito would have just excepted the young man champagne and kept it moving he would made the train,so many men died over their pride.
umm if Benny handled a 'no thanks' better, this would not have happened...
also, he was a criminal. Obviously Carlito did not want to be associated with him.
Young man would've appeared more in the club and took liberties. It was destiny.
Are you a man or a they?
If he would have killed Benny that night when he told him to he would have lived. You can’t be 1/2 way out and 1/2 way in
When the old man at the bar in dublin ireland refused the drink Connor McGregor offered Connor McGregor punched him in the face
21:15 believe it or not, that’s the guy that played Aragorn in Lord of the Rings.
The end scene gets me every time I tear up great scene with Penelope Ann Miller!
As soon as I think I'm out! YALL PULL ME BACK IN!!!
Oh this one is good
Carlos/Carlito is Spanish for Charles.
