I did today's project with my husband. it was his idea to hang ceiling-mounted shelves instead of regular wall shelves because the wall here is made of gypsum board "drywall" so it is safer this way, and unique
At first we looked for something similar online, but they are way more expensive and it's always more fun to DO IT YOURSELF !!
So we built our own shelves, it was easy and simple
Materials are wood, wood stains, long screws, L-connectors and that's it
Wood costs 46.32 euros
Wood stains and other tools cost less than 20 euros
We are very happy with the result, you can't imagine how many clutter fit in there and our kitchen still looks neat and elegant

What are the measurements for the wood that you used? Are those 1x2s?

Those could 1×3's but I believe that the 1× 2's will work. For one we'll use metal L- brackets to help inforce the strength of them.
