Out of all the pistols I own and have owned this is probably the only one I don't regret selling. Don't know why but I couldn't hit anything with this thing. It was about 4.5 ft lbs in 177 but it jumped all over the place when I shot it. It was very well made and looked great. Maybe it was a one off but I couldn't wait to get rid of it.
Great vid mate , what I find ridiculous about this country is if that crept over 6ftlbs it becomes sect 5 prohibited, but I can generate 50 ftlbs with a catapult, All the best mate 👍
That's very true. I think it's because catapults aren't perceived as dangerous. Of course, there are plenty of rabbits that would say otherwise 😅 Thanks for watching 👍
@@Theshropshireratter what gets me after the 1968 firearms act is an air pistol over 6 ftlbs or an air rifle over 12 ftlbs can be classed as a firearm when no firepower is used to project a projectile, but a catapult producing 45 ftlbs and quite capable of killing a man is classed as a toy , no restrictions really unless causing alarm and distress,
@@manofkentcatapultsgunsando5069 I know what mean I think it is a dislike of guns because how many people are killed in car accidents in uk but I've never seen a news reporter talking to the family calling for the ending of car ownership
The trick to cocking a Webley pistol is to hold the barrel pointing down against your right shoulder with your left hand and bring the grip down with your right hand. This uses your powerful triceps which makes the effort easy. Similar cocking action, my 85yo Webley Junior is about half that power but it is still a brute to cock.
I have just bought a boxed, mint condition Magnum in .177. Years ago I had the .22 version which wasn't very accurate in my hands. The .177 is better but it's not a target pistol by any stretch of the imagination. I know these pistols get a bad reputation for breach seal problems. My first one, the .22 had an oring which is pressed into the top lever and could fall out with use. The .177 I've just acquired uses a rubber ring, like a small tap washer, which is secured by a grubb screw and when tightened deforms into a larger oring which seals the breach. And there is the source of inconsistencies as after a few shots the seal does not always properly seal. My .22 was a mk1 and the .177 a mk2. Another problem which is often cited is the safety sometimes refusing to engage in the firing position. I've no idea what the cause of this fault is. Once the pistol has been fired, assuming the safety worked and clicked into the fire position, automatically springs back into safe after the pistol is fired. Despite their quirks these pistols did pack a punch for their small size. They are now a collectors item which are seldom seen for sale. As for an air pistol for every day use they are eclipsed by the HW45 in every way. Thanks for another great presentation.
Looks like a mix in between a Marksman 1010 and the Beeman P17 but going for a two story glock style! Haha I liked my Benjamin Trail NP pistol until it broke. But the feel of a springer/ gas ram sure is way different from a smooth pneumatic! _{My Marskman never shot great tho haha}_
I only had for a few days, but it was pretty good. Maybe BSA sorted out the issues. I've had a few things break, Milbro Savage springs to mind. Thanks for watching. 👍
Based on looks it though it might be a clone of the HW45 but I see the barrel arrangement is different as the HW45 has it's barrel in the top and it cocks with the gun.
I know the feeling. I spend more time under my truck than driving it. My stepson is always asking me to patch up his car. Best of all, I know very little about engines 😅

I've had pistols and rifles that I just didn't get on with. Sometimes you get a dud, just the luck of the draw. 👍
Nice to see a new review of the 240 magnum, I've got one and had it when it was released, very reliable and powerful, one of the best looking too.
I have to agree. Maybe they will bring it back. 🤔

Totally agree I don't think power is the problem it's the threat of a gun in the UK everyone's terrified of

Never seen one of these before but now I really want one.
I've only seen one other and I didn't know what it was. I've lots of people saying they are too basic or too hard to shoot. I think it's great 👍
@@RealAirgunAdventures o agree. Looks great, simple to use, good power, good accuracy. What more could you want.
You're a gift to those around you 💪
Nice is this model ! 😎👍🏻
Such a lovely video!
Thanks for watching 👍
You've earned my respect!
Think you underestimated yourself mate. That was a superb bit of shooting, especially with a springer.
😎👍

Another great video
Thanks, and thanks for watching and commenting. 👍👊
Awesome pistol!!!
I was really impressed. 👍
Hi mate , another great review there on a cracking pistol nice grouping too . Stay safe ATVB
Thanks, its a nice little pistol but not my best shooting :-)
Woow, a very accurate pistol 💀👍
Yep, I think in better hands, it would be very impressive.
Nice video and group there 👍 . Yes the 240 is chunky indeed. Not shot mine for some time, may just have to give it a whirl
I was really impressed with it. I wish I hadn't taken it back now. Thanks for watching Paddy 👍
@@RealAirgunAdventures you're welcome. That's a shame you didn't get it. Mine was a present from the wife. So not going anywhere 👍
Thanks,I will.

@@RealAirgunAdventures not sure that your scopes would agree with this statement! Haha
@Lowkey Airgunner I'll asked them. 😂🤣
Too bad they're discontinued, I wouldn't mind owning one
It's a shame. it might be one of the best spring pistols around.
Thanks for watching. 👍
Had two and both broke from new,n where near as good as the scorpion😉

Hi,Ive got one of those pistols, its in mint condition apart from missing a rear sight.Do you think its still possible for me to obtain one.
I think you probably can. Ask the guys at Protek Supplies in Bognor Regis. They can tell you for sure. They know everything.
This was meant be a hw45 rival but many suffered from leaky seals( and being compared to the hw45)
Thanks, nice to get a bit of insight. Thanks for watching. 8
Did you end up buying this? If not I’m v interested!
Hi, I'm taking it back on Tuesday morning. I would really like it, but I already have way too many. 😆.
@@RealAirgunAdventures it looks in mint condition? Think it’s a good buy then?
@@OCDfish I don't think it's really been used much. It is like a new gun.
What pellets were you using?
That was a tin of Umarex branded pellets. Someone gave me a couple of tins to try out. Thanks for watching.
@RealAirgunAdventures ok thanks I remembered I have one in .177
