Hi Sallie, my wife and I have been watching lots of your videos and we love them!!! We just bought our Cricut and a heat press and sublimation printer! We are so excited and so nervous! 💕 thank you for all the tips and tricks!
wow thank you so much for sharing this. I need something to put for my wreath center and found some small wood round and thought i wonder if i could sub on these. and found your video .. I can't wait to try .. fingers crossed
I was wondering if you could put a gloss sealer on the fade one - that should make the color pop - should be sealed anyway if your gonna have it outside - nice tutorials tyvm
I saw where someone commented the wood rounds don’t look smooth. Maybe try sanding with a higher grit and see if that helps. We love 600 grit on our wood products. It makes them REALLY smooth! I can’t wait to try sublimation!
I tried it today with infusible ink and my Cricut heat press and it turned out good just like your first one. Thank you for your video. I now can use my 4x4 plain wood into Xmas ornaments. Wooohooo 🥳
Hey there! love your videos. How do you make or design your prints? I have an Epson 2720. I use the poster print for larger prints but can't get it exactly 12 inches around or larger.
Can you talk about your printer - Iv been looking to Do this for a while now. I have everything even a printer but it does not print that big. Can you talk about your printer setup - that would be awesome!❤
I wonder if this basically gives the same effect as painting the wood white first or using a white canvas and then layering clear laminate over it and then going ahead and sublimating and pressing the image?
WOW!!! I just loved them!!! I just ordered a Star Craft 8 in 1 heat press today and can’t wait until I get it!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise☺️☺️
Hey Sallie, I'm sure you know this by now, but for anyone not aware, sublimation inks do not permanently bind to organic fibers like cotton or wood. There are tricks you can use, of course, but they aren't reliable enough to sell. With clothing you have to use synthetic material like polyester or rayon, so your idea of you sublimating to wood over a polycrylic coating is absolutely brilliant.
@@SimplySallie ok, I have some of the same rounds. I wish I had a sublimation printer. Do you know where I can buy Sublimation prints images where I can do some? Thank you
You can order them off Etsy or if you have a local shirt shop that sells sublimated shirts you could ask them if they will see you some prints that you want. They would print them and you pay there! No shipping and minimal waiting I’m assuming. I say this because in my small town where I live a local shirt shop was willing to do this for me! P.S. God loves you and have a GREAT DAY!
Hi Sallie! I have been doing layering for over a year now and wanted to add a little something extra so I just bought an Epson EcoTank to turn into a sublimation printer. I'm so excited to hopefully intertwine the 2 together.
Me too! Got such a great deal I could no longer say it's too expensive lol These Eco Tanks are awesome e machines. Just make sure to you run a few prints each week or the head dries up. Mission to get it clean again.
You are amazing! This is the first time I have seen one of your videos. I'm thinking you are probably a teacher...and if not, you should be!!! You are very thorough in your explanation. I can't wait to try this. I do have one question: What do you put on the back to hang them up?
Thank you so much!! I am not a teacher but I do appreciate the compliment! So I haven't had to hang these yet, but if I did I would probably use some type of double sided hanging tape since they are so lightweight and thin. You may could use sawtooth hangers but the screws might be too long.
I'm just getting my stuff to start sublimation and got the brown butcher paper to use. Will that be ok? I did not know i was supposed to get white. Thanks for any help.
Hi Sallie. Have you tried this method on both sides of the piece of wood? I have a client that wants wooden gift tags for an engagement party and it would be cool if we could print this on both side of the wooden tag.
I love this. I make round wood door signs as well as my sublimation and I think these would look amazing in the center of my 18 inch round wood signs as a center piece!
I did mine today and I watched a video where you paint with white paint before the acrylic and it was a mess 😄 I will follow your video next time 🤩😍
Love all this information on Sublimation using wood with heat press I'm like really doing some research
I just joined the Beach Bungalow Sub Shop, waiting on my first sublimation printer, I have so much to learn. Thank you for the videos.
I just added you! I have those wood rounds and watched your video about wood sublimation...soooo glad I did, TY!!
YOU MUFFIN! Thanks for the shout out! LOVE the video!
Great video; easy to follow. Thank you.

Love that heat press!
Thanks for this. I HATE the glossy look of the laminating sheets. It's so very clearly unnatural for wood. This looks fantastic.
How long did you wait for the polycrylic to cure before sublimating on to it?
So cute! Great video!
Yes one coats before use the heat press after is the second .? Thank beautiful job
Omg! So glad yt recommended this vid!
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
wow thank you so much for sharing this. I need something to put for my wreath center and found some small wood round and thought i wonder if i could sub on these. and found your video .. I can't wait to try .. fingers crossed
Awesome! Hope it works out for you 😊 thanks for watching
Sally I love your videos, love learning from you.😊
First visit to your channel. This was great and thank you!
Can you paint the board with white acrylic paint...
then put the polycrylic on it.. I know the white will give it a real good background
I was wondering if you could put a gloss sealer on the fade one - that should make the color pop - should be sealed anyway if your gonna have it outside - nice tutorials tyvm
I love your projects and your sweet spirit! Do you have a large sublimation printer? Your printouts look the perfect size!
These are fabulous xx I am wondering what printer you used for the larger prints?
I bought a wood round from dollar store! Gotta try this. Thank you ❤️
Hi, so just watching this video and love it, but Im more interested in HOW you printed your designs on the paper.
I saw where someone commented the wood rounds don’t look smooth. Maybe try sanding with a higher grit and see if that helps. We love 600 grit on our wood products. It makes them REALLY smooth! I can’t wait to try sublimation!
What polycrylic did you use? These look great. i notice that there is clear matte, clear gloss, etc. Thanks
Thanks Sally....I am going to try this for sure!
Wow! Thanks for sharing, definitely will be trying this! May I ask why the wood had to be sanded?
I just bought some of the craft circles. This video is very helpful😊. I put the poly coating on and waited over night.
Can you do the same technique on a wood round that is painted white and has polycrylic on top?
I tried it today with infusible ink and my Cricut heat press and it turned out good just like your first one. Thank you for your video. I now can use my 4x4 plain wood into Xmas ornaments. Wooohooo 🥳
You're my hero, Sallie!! 😄
Can you apply this to wood that is already painted or does it have to be applied directly to the wood?
This is great. Can't wait to try it for myslef.
Hello and thank you for testing. What printer did you use?
Beautiful!!! What sublimation printer did you use on this, please?
Hey there! love your videos. How do you make or design your prints? I have an Epson 2720. I use the poster print for larger prints but can't get it exactly 12 inches around or larger.
Great video! =) Is it possible to paint the wood then polycrilic, then sublimate?
Can you talk about your printer - Iv been looking to
Do this for a while now. I have everything even a printer but it does not print that big. Can you talk about your printer setup - that would be awesome!❤
Can you paint the wood white first or a different color and then put poly on it then sub the picture?
What was in the white tub that you used with the green sponge?
I wonder if this basically gives the same effect as painting the wood white first or using a white canvas and then layering clear laminate over it and then going ahead and sublimating and pressing the image?
I purchased a shirt! I’m so excited! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Chloe! 😊
I was curious about this thin wood warping. Glad you mentioned that.
WOW!!! I just loved them!!! I just ordered a Star Craft 8 in 1 heat press today and can’t wait until I get it!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise☺️☺️
How is your Star Craft press working out for you?
First thanks for sharing! My question: Have you tried placing Oracle 651 on the Polycrylic coat?
This is such an easy and great gift! Thanks for sharing!!!
Please do share your color profile. They are amazing colors. And are you printing from silhouette?
Great video.thank you
great tutorial! Can I ask what printer/ink/paper you're using? Thanks!
Yes please printer info
Sallie-do you know if you can do sublimation on a painted wood circle?

Love your videos Can! Can you please tell me what type of paper n printer do you use to make prints for 18 inch rounds? Thank you
Maybe it would come out good using sublicoat clear instead of polycrylic
They look so good with the polycyclic!!! Awesome video!!!
Thank you Sonya!
Love it! Now that it’s been a year, has it faded like some said it would?
Nope it still looks brand new! It's currently displaying with my other fall decor 😊
I love this thanks for sharing!@
Thank you for sharing your great ideas. Could you tell me what the rule
of thumb is for sizing the image, exsample a small shirt vs a large
shirt?
Hello, can you sublimate on chipboard? Wanting to make a planner cover, not sure how to go about that
Is it possible to sand over the print and destress it?
Thank you Sallie. I wounded if you can stain it 1st then sublimation
I'm going to test this out next! Trying it with stain, paint, and regular wood

I have wanted to know about this. Didn't even know what it was even called. Are there places I can go to to make something
Thank you ! Was looking to find the best option for my first live edge wood rounds I want to make family ornaments. This helped greatly 🧡
Watch this video . So rewarding right!
What an awesome craft idea! Now I wish I could afford a sublimation printer and a heat press...lol. Some day!😉
3 years later and I’m still
Investing and upgrading constantly. it’s not a cheap hobby by any means!
I ask for bday gifts etc too for supplies and bigger ticket tools/items 😊

I love this! The wood rounds turned out beautifully...especially the fall one! Thank you so much for sharing!
I love them 😍
I wonder if after it’s pressed, if you put a thin coat of polyurethane on it to make it shine how that would turn out?
I love this video! I can't wait to make some!
Love it. Thank you
If i have a 8.5 by 11 sublimation printer how can i print a 12 by 12. Do i do the tile setting on the printer then tape together
Great video! I’m super excited to try this.
Fantastic experiment, thank you for putting it online for others
awesome Sally! As always thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! 😊
Thank you for sharing Sallie. Can't wait to try this with hubby.
very helpful!
Will you share where you purchased those designs?? I love them both!!
Me too!!! I have been looking for the rainbow one for almost 2 weeks and I want to make my partner (1st year) teacher a gift with it on it.
I'm just getting my stuff to start sublimation and got the brown butcher paper to use. Will that be ok? I did not know i was supposed to get white. Thanks for any help.
Nice project. What brand and style is your heat press? Thanks.🦋
Did you have to use the other heat press to flatten the last two signs you made?
I did for these, but you can just use something heavy if you don't have another press!
Great video, wood rounds arrived yesterday so I'm going to give it a try. Thank you so much!
Sallie, I have never clicked so fast 😆
Thanks for the support Doris!
That was very interesting that made me subscribed to your channel.
See you on your next project Sallie.👍

Great video! Thank you!
Loved it! Thanks for sharing!!
Do you think you could do the same thing on a 1/2 inch thick piece of wood?
This is a game changer!!! Thank you, Sallie!
How are you able to print out such large images?
What would the process be if you painted the wood white first?
I love this. I make round wood door signs as well as my sublimation and I think these would look amazing in the center of my 18 inch round wood signs as a center piece!
Great tutorial thanks where did you get your sublimation paper?
Would I be able to paint it white and then polycrylic it and then sub?
Great tutorial. Where do you find your designs?
Can you paint the wood round white and THEN put the polycrylic on top of that and then sublimate?
I'm going to try this next!
Yay! I’m curious to see how it turns out!
Acrylic paint dry sand then polycrylic dry sand and sublimate. You must use mdf
@@pietpompiepompiepiet940 what's MDF
@@hellahookinothercrafts2507 it is medium density fibreboard
what type of paper was used to print the design?
hi... the print you made is actually pretty big... what printer do you have that you are using for such a big print?
what brand is your blue heat press?
Do you think you could paint then add with poly. Then do sublimated image?
I will be testing this out!
What would you use to hang these? Thank you.
