    I saw where someone commented the wood rounds don’t look smooth. Maybe try sanding with a higher grit and see if that helps. We love 600 grit on our wood products. It makes them REALLY smooth! I can’t wait to try sublimation!

    Sallie-do you know if you can do sublimation on a painted wood circle?

  • @grimeybeast1465
    @grimeybeast1465 2 роки тому +11

    Hey Sallie, I'm sure you know this by now, but for anyone not aware, sublimation inks do not permanently bind to organic fibers like cotton or wood. There are tricks you can use, of course, but they aren't reliable enough to sell. With clothing you have to use synthetic material like polyester or rayon, so your idea of you sublimating to wood over a polycrylic coating is absolutely brilliant.

      You can order them off Etsy or if you have a local shirt shop that sells sublimated shirts you could ask them if they will see you some prints that you want. They would print them and you pay there! No shipping and minimal waiting I’m assuming. I say this because in my small town where I live a local shirt shop was willing to do this for me!
      P.S. God loves you and have a GREAT DAY!

      Thank you so much!! I am not a teacher but I do appreciate the compliment! So I haven't had to hang these yet, but if I did I would probably use some type of double sided hanging tape since they are so lightweight and thin. You may could use sawtooth hangers but the screws might be too long.
