Love how you're rocking that Jet Jaguar jacket hahaha. I grew up with that knock-off giant green-yellow Godzilla by Dormei, he was all I had for MANY years and it was all my parents could afford at the time. Love that thing, I would take him everywhere and occasionally stuffed him with marbles lol.
I can relate to you with taking the Dormei Godzilla out a lot to anywhere you go I did the same with mine though mines was the red version but never did I think about putting marbles in him!
Not Godzilla, but I remember growing up with some bootleg Power Rangers figures named "Two Super Heroes" Have no idea what happened to mine but I know that somehow, 15 years after I had them, they are still being made and sold.
Awesome! I didn't have an Imperial Godzilla when I was a kid, although I have two now as an adult collector, but I did have a red and black Dor Mei Godzilla figure as my first Godzilla toy. I didn't even care it was a knockoff. To me it was close enough, so it was good enough for me.
My country has barely any Godzilla toys, let alone bootlegs. But i got 3 lovely bootlegs, a Trendmasters bootleg, and two Bandai giant Godzilla Final Wars bootlegs They're still incredibly fun even though they're bootlegs Also the two GFW toys labeled them as dinosaurs (Ps. i also saw a Ultraman type figure at the same mall where i got the two GFW bootlegs, didn't get it though)
I had that remote control godzilla when I was a kid Sometime around 1993-1995. My dad bought for me from the local swapmeet. He look nothing like godzilla but I knew exactly who he’s supposed to be. I love that the eyes light up when he rolls.
I had that first Godzilla knockoff since I was tiny. I never knew it was a bootleg until a few years ago, but was always one of my favorite toys, so I think highly of him. And yes, despite the lack of back spikes, it does look better than the official one to me.
1:52 Oh man I remember getting *that* Godzilla figurine for Christmas a long time ago. I don't know if I still have it anymore although one time I remember poking a small hole in the chest with a pen and then I would have my Bandai Creations Destroyah figure "impaling" Godzilla and kind of reenact the scene from Dragon Ball Z where 2nd form Frieza gutted krillin with one of his horns.
I was on holiday in Spain this was when I was like 7 and I wandered into some shop that was packed full of bootleg toys one was a plastic Godzilla toy in a box named and I kid you not “Super Lizard Guy”
I remember that at a hobby store near my hometown there is a model trainset with the Bootleg Godzilla figure seen at 2:04 where he grabs a caboose. The model trainset and the figure are still there to this day, and seeing MIB go over this figure, I think I might wanna get one of these bootleg figures on Ebay for myself.
I actually have a version of the bootleg Godzilla you showed at the beginning from China. Got it from a family friend when I was a kid. It's still in my house right now because I think its cool in its own little way.
Coincidence this one came out after the copyright suit video? Anyway, I remember those Universal monster toys at Dollar Tree. They wouldn't sell them to me because either it was overstock that had to go back to the warehouse or that it was recalled for having lead paint. I forget which, but it was most likely the latter. So, wash your hands after playing with those "King of the Lizards" just in case. Also, I remember that Steve Urkle wore those roaring dinosaur slippers in an episode of Family Matters. Annoyed the hell out of Carl, who chased him away, and little roars carried Urkle out of the house. Anyone find a clip of that?
love the Jet Jaguar hoodie MIB. i really enjoy these videos you make i learn things i never knew about Godzilla collectables including the bootlegs keep up the great work. I look forward to part 2
I used to own the big Dormei knockoff Godzilla when i was still a little child . Oh man , this takes me back . I once compared it with an smaller toy Allosaurus saying that the Godzilla was a big dinosaur and the Allosaurus a little dinosaur.
I have a King of the Lizards figure. When I was a kid, I used it as a substitute for Minilla. I also have a King of the Lizards poster I got from a family member years ago, although I don't know if it's "official" or just a custom print.
I had one of those Dormei knock offs as a kid. I loved playing with it and I even had a cool stuffed monkey toy that was about the same size. I really loved doing my own version of King Kong vs Godzilla as a young one.
I had the imperial Godzilla from the 80s. Both the big one and the 6 inch one and loved it. Got the big one for Christmas one of my favorite gifts of all time. Only place back in the 80s that I was able to find any Godzilla toys was at Spencer Gifts and was only able to find Anguillus and a Baragon. In the 80s it was hard to find Godzilla toys. I never saw them regular till the late 90s.
I actually bought the giant 1997 knockoff you showcased at the start. Found it in a flea market, selling for one euro. Instantly purchased, and I found out something fascinating: that thing is FAR older than previously thought. The one currently standing on my shelf is from _1987._
Hot damn, that first toy you brought up, I had that back when I was in 5th grade. My parents probably still have it tucked away back home since we never get rid of anything.
When I think "Hey, Big Fella", I'm NOT thinking about Godzilla. I'm twisted, but not THAT twisted. The "Hey Vern" made me giggle. I think the Imperial Godzilla went to the same lipstick store that the Creature from the Black Lagoon did If you go by the Creature's poster.
I had both the Imperial Godzilla and the Dormei knockoff as a child. I used to make them fight. The Dormei monster was kind of like a cross between Gorosaurus and Titanosaurus.
My first Godzilla toy was the red Dormei Godzilla and I didn't know it was a bootleg back then and I still love it to this day and I never owned the green one but saw it many times and would like to own it at some point and I have many other bootlegs in my collection they're just oddly unique!
That Dormei Godzilla seems very familiar to me, so maybe I had it or knew someone who did but seeing it triggered something long forgotten anyway that I wasn’t expecting…possibly I never even considered it a Godzilla toy at the time since I still loved dinosaurs like most kids.
Nice video. The skateboarding Godzilla’s head reminds me a lot of Gorgo, while the package art on the dinosaur slippers sure brings to mind the 1962 Godzilla’s head (my favorite G suit).
So when I was a kid in the 80’s. Like 1987. My parents bought me a pack of monster erasers from our local Walmart in Alabama. I found out over twenty years later they were Zone Fighter monsters. My favorites were the monster with swords for arms and the two headed blue monster with a hand gun.
I actually had the "Wired Controlled Dinosaur" as a child. Mine worked, and the two red buttons make him go forward and backward. Also, it would have glowing red eyes when it moved.
Can confirm I had the big Dormei toy as a child. 1997 must have been a recast or something though 'cause I got mine way before then, probably around 1989 or 1990. I got it as a gift for my birthday and assumed it was Godzilla, having not actually seen any movies yet. My best friend was quick to correct me though, having seen some of the movies and having the Imperial toy. We played with them both a lot, eventually just pretending that the Dormei toy was Titanosaurus instead.
I can remember having that exact 15” Imperial knock off. I dropped it on the top of the tail and it broke off. The funny thing is a cigarette butt fell out of the toy’s body. Knock offs Rule!
The Dormei Godzilla knock off was my introduction to Godzilla. I was dragged to a Dino theme park for a cousin’s birthday, and I did not like dinosaurs at all. However since I found this guy in the gift shop and heard about him smashing buildings and breathing ‘fire” I fell in love
I have alot of these lol. Walking dinosaur and steggy flippin rule. The feel, sound, motions and light up effects are nostalgia driven. Should have been an A+!
I was a huge Dor Mei fan when I was a kid, I was aware of it being a knockoff but I didn’t care. A friend actually gave me his not long after I feel down the rabbit whole. I used to call it Ungodzilla, because of the lack of dorsal plates, like he was just a dinosaur kaiju without any of godzillas powers. That’s what made me so interested because next to all the cheap dinosaur stuff out there it’s like he was the king of it all.
So I still have my Dormei godzilla, is the black and red version which operantly people like to collect this version as there were not alot of them. I still remember how I got this toy, my mom with my aunt and grandma took me to a market place in New york, i'm just shitting in the shopping cart, looking around not really being all there cause, little kids and shopping do not mix. But my mom saw a stand that was selling these toys. An she knowing how much I loved godzilla and look board she got it for me an I was super happy cause it was my first godzilla toy. I played with that toy for a long time growing up as a kid, and I still have it with me today. It just sits in my closet or sometimes outside the closet. Still looks good, even though some of the paint on the eyes chip away but the rest of it fine the black and red color still look like it brand new
I am currently looking at a small collection of 'LEGO' 'Godzilla' figures, so it's twice the knockoff for the price of one! (And a surprisingly good quality at that)
Hey I remember having the creepy classics King Kong and Godzilla ( I mean king of the lizards) toys and even a poster. But I can confirm mine didn’t have the yellow stain on the shoulder so I guess yours is a defect. But thought I’d share that.
RadioShack also had a version of their dinosaur that was a big 3-4” blow up thing that was attached to an rc controlled bass to drive around. I had it as a kid in the 80s.
When one of the first big batches of G-related VHS tapes showed up in stores (mostly the cheapies we all lament/love), I remember my K-Mart having a small bin of Imperial-type G-figures (or boots) of every color you can name. Never saw this again, maybe Toho's lawyers tapped down harder on this one than some.
when i was younger my parents got me these small unlicensed Godzilla figures.one of them was a heisie Godzilla figure. but both of its eyes where missing. needless to say i will stick to the official ones from now one
I've got a "King of the Lizards" poster that my Dad bought at a swap meet years ago. It's the same image used on the blister pack's card art, minus the thumb.
Yo MIB! Ah, the age of godzilla fakes and knock-offs, what a time (still prevalent today) to see!!!! *EVERYONE* has seen and owned at least one or two fake/knockoffs. I have the luxury of owning at least a few and while yes, they're not legit, but they're still fun to play!!! Great video, looking forward for part two!!!!!
I remember having a fake godzilla figure with me and my brother having one and I still have it, despite it being a fake I have very fond memories of it and that king of the lizards is still hanging in my wall.
Knock offs of my favorite things to collect are always hilarious. But adding some MIB commentary and this is going to make my night.
As someone who lives in Florida, I can 100% confirm that the lizards here do stand upright and play baseball
Wtf
He ain't lying
If that’s true, which probably not then we’re screwed
(by the way, I know this is a joke so don’t be saying hey this is a joke man)
Yep
I watched a group of them beat a man to death with those bats
Love how you're rocking that Jet Jaguar jacket hahaha.
I grew up with that knock-off giant green-yellow Godzilla by Dormei, he was all I had for MANY years and it was all my parents could afford at the time. Love that thing, I would take him everywhere and occasionally stuffed him with marbles lol.
I can relate to you with taking the Dormei Godzilla out a lot to anywhere you go I did the same with mine though mines was the red version but never did I think about putting marbles in him!
I USED TO HAVE THAT SAME KING OF THE LIZARDS FIGURE AS A KID!! I never thought I'd see one again
Same here
My first impression of the skateboarding Godzilla was that it looked like Gorgo. Look at the thumbnail if you don't believe me.
A little bit, actually! Just minus the fin like ears.
Same
Rob Zombie is very underrated as fuck
Not Godzilla, but I remember growing up with some bootleg Power Rangers figures named "Two Super Heroes"
Have no idea what happened to mine but I know that somehow, 15 years after I had them, they are still being made and sold.
Awesome! I didn't have an Imperial Godzilla when I was a kid, although I have two now as an adult collector, but I did have a red and black Dor Mei Godzilla figure as my first Godzilla toy. I didn't even care it was a knockoff. To me it was close enough, so it was good enough for me.

They're still incredibly fun even though they're bootlegs
Also the two GFW toys labeled them as dinosaurs
(Ps. i also saw a Ultraman type figure at the same mall where i got the two GFW bootlegs, didn't get it though)
I just love the jokes that MIB does. All of the have me laughing on the floor. Nice video MIB! Can’t wait for part 2!
I had that remote control godzilla when I was a kid Sometime around 1993-1995. My dad bought for me from the local swapmeet. He look nothing like godzilla but I knew exactly who he’s supposed to be. I love that the eyes light up when he rolls.

Not Only Do I Have That Bootleg Godzilla................I STILL HAVE IT!!!
Same. I would never let anything happen to him.
BRO I have been watching since a few years now and I can’t stop and I became a fan of Godzilla myself!
00:08. So cool! RC Godzilla!
I was on holiday in Spain this was when I was like 7 and I wandered into some shop that was packed full of bootleg toys one was a plastic Godzilla toy in a box named and I kid you not “Super Lizard Guy”
1:40 bro looks like he's about to drop the biggest disstrack
I officially hate zone fighter, NOBODY HURTS MY MAN GIGAN!
I agree
0:02 MY BOY BIG FELLA OH YEAH BIG FELLA LETS GOOOOOOOO
BIG FELLAAAAAAAA!!!
I remember that at a hobby store near my hometown there is a model trainset with the Bootleg Godzilla figure seen at 2:04 where he grabs a caboose. Universal Dinosaurs: Does not fall off an "edge".
*sees an edgy character...proceeds to turn the other way.*
I actually have a version of the bootleg Godzilla you showed at the beginning from China. Got it from a family friend when I was a kid. It's still in my house right now because I think its cool in its own little way.
Fun Fact, Steve Urkle actually wore a pair of Tyrano Toes Slippers in the later seasons of Family Matters. and Yes, they did Roar!
I had the King of the Lizards figure.
They sold that figure brand at Dollar Trees around Halloween time.
I bought both "Godzilla" and King Kong.
Coincidence this one came out after the copyright suit video? Anyway, I remember those Universal monster toys at Dollar Tree. They wouldn't sell them to me because either it was overstock that had to go back to the warehouse or that it was recalled for having lead paint. I forget which, but it was most likely the latter. love the Jet Jaguar hoodie MIB. i really enjoy these videos you make i learn things i never knew about Godzilla collectables including the bootlegs keep up the great work. I look forward to part 2
Wow, and I thought TMNT and He-Man had more bootlegs. Well, can’t wait to see more!
I used to own the big Dormei knockoff Godzilla when i was still a little child . Oh man , this takes me back . I once compared it with an smaller toy Allosaurus saying that the Godzilla was a big dinosaur and the Allosaurus a little dinosaur.
Yeah there’s a lot of Godzilla knock offs especially one where Godzilla tried to become pandon from ultra seven
I have a King of the Lizards figure. When I was a kid, I used it as a substitute for Minilla.
I also have a King of the Lizards poster I got from a family member years ago, although I don't know if it's "official" or just a custom print.
Nice zone fighter toys!! used to have a bootleg vhs with all the zilla /zone episodes on it
I had one of those Dormei knock offs as a kid. I loved playing with it and I even had a cool stuffed monkey toy that was about the same size. I really loved doing my own version of King Kong vs Godzilla as a young one.

I never saw them regular till the late 90s.
Out of 12 years of MIB will we ever get a collection video?
Yes been waiting for this one ! You know I love these old school knock off Gojis. You wonderful man you.
King of The Lizard looks like a cross between Godzilla and Moe Szyslak.
I actually bought the giant 1997 knockoff you showcased at the start. Found it in a flea market, selling for one euro. Instantly purchased, and I found out something fascinating: that thing is FAR older than previously thought. The one currently standing on my shelf is from _1987._
This guy keeps posting when I’m in school, during lunch. At least I can watch ur vids in lunch.
That's not Godzilla, that's Mortalzilinsky 💀
Oh hell yeah man I love bootlegs figures.
Hot damn, that first toy you brought up, I had that back when I was in 5th grade. My parents probably still have it tucked away back home since we never get rid of anything.
*"Godzilla's wenis is the trigger"*
Why did I laugh?
When I think "Hey, Big Fella", I'm NOT thinking about Godzilla.
I'm twisted, but not THAT twisted.
The "Hey Vern" made me giggle.
I think the Imperial Godzilla went to the same lipstick store that the Creature from the Black Lagoon did If you go by the Creature's poster.
I'm from Florida and lizards DO NO hold baseball bats, but some alligators do. 6:34, I do have those cards.
Bandai should really make figures of the monsters from Zone Fighter. It would be awesome as they have never done that before.

Well, I never knew this about Godzilla toys.
Nice video. The skateboarding Godzilla’s head reminds me a lot of Gorgo, while the package art on the dinosaur slippers sure brings to mind the 1962 Godzilla’s head (my favorite G suit).
I live in Florida and I can confirm the lizards are big and play baseball we try to leave them alone
Jim Morrison is indeed the Lizard King, he can do anything.
I actually had the "Wired Controlled Dinosaur" as a child. Mine worked, and the two red buttons make him go forward and backward. Also, it would have glowing red eyes when it moved.

Lol good stuff. I had most of that stuff & still have some. Great job on the video. 👍
That very first knock off I owned! And I absolutely loved it!
Sure, I love the amazing sculpting and painting of something like the Mezco figures, but man, there is a special joy in collecting bad Godzilla toys.
3:33 I love how the diagram clearly shows turning left, while the front page says "TURNS RIGHT" lol
I can remember having that exact 15” Imperial knock off. I dropped it on the top of the tail and it broke off. The funny thing is a cigarette butt fell out of the toy’s body. Knock offs Rule!
HE KILLED GIGAN
I'm dead
I got the complete Zone Fighter series on DVD from Ebay last year!
I do remember the wire controlled dinosaur outside of RadioShack where it was called Swamp Dinosaurs.
8:50 godzilla garbage disposal
The Dormei Godzilla knock off was my introduction to Godzilla. I was dragged to a Dino theme park for a cousin’s birthday, and I did not like dinosaurs at all. However since I found this guy in the gift shop and heard about him smashing buildings and breathing ‘fire” I fell in love
I love this video this need to be a series on mib
I have alot of these lol. Walking dinosaur and steggy flippin rule. The feel, sound, motions and light up effects are nostalgia driven. Should have been an A+!

Surprised Zilla didn't make it on this vid. :comedy:
After last weeks lawsuit episode these bootleg toys are playing dangerous games.
So I still have my Dormei godzilla, is the black and red version which operantly people like to collect this version as there were not alot of them. Still looks good, even though some of the paint on the eyes chip away but the rest of it fine the black and red color still look like it brand new
I have a 6-inch version of the imperial godzilla
6:48 Hardee’s done that
Edit: what the hell is this comment I made what does it even mean? I don’t even remember making it
The knockoff 1997 dormai is legendary
I am currently looking at a small collection of 'LEGO' 'Godzilla' figures, so it's twice the knockoff for the price of one!
(And a surprisingly good quality at that)
If it exists there’s a bootleg of it
4:58 Oh I remember that I used to have the cards and figure when I was little kid when I went to louisiana when I was kid
I've seen the Dormei figures sold at KB toys and even at Universal Stufios Orlando's Islands of Adventure in the Jurassic Park section once.
Love the "hey vern" at 1:51
I actually have the imperial godzilla you showed first. My best friend got it for me for Christmas. As a more recent godzilla collector, I screamed :)
That was very obviously Gorgo pretending to be Godzilla riding a skateboard.
It’s all part of his plan.
Фигурка Короля ящериц выглядит кстати как Деттон - кайдзю из токусатцу сериала Ультрачеловек Джек.
I think Urkel wore a pair of Tyranno-toes in an episode of Family Matters.
I have the exact same king of the lizards art as an actual poster lmao
The universal dinosaur bootleg is very similar to a TMNT knockoff I saw once , the youtuber Phelous made a video about it .
the face of the universial dinosour 😢looks like yoda
when i was younger my parents got me these small unlicensed Godzilla figures.one of them was a heisie Godzilla figure. but both of its eyes where missing. needless to say i will stick to the official ones from now one
Growing up, I had a imperial Godzilla figure
And because of how weird it looks, I assumed that it was a knock off
That’s a cool looking Jet Jaguar jacket.
I've got a "King of the Lizards" poster that my Dad bought at a swap meet years ago. It's the same image used on the blister pack's card art, minus the thumb.
Used to have the Tyranno Toes slippers and the walking Big Rex
Wait that’s unofficial, I never knew 1:57
Ohhh part 1 of a two parter now I'm excited for part 2
How could they disrespect my goat Gigan 🤬
I love your Jet Jaguar hoodie
Great video, looking forward for part two!!!!!
i remember owning a fake Liger Zero from zoids remote control toy that lit up and walked and it made Godzilla roars for some reason
I remember having a fake godzilla figure with me and my brother having one and I still have it, despite it being a fake I have very fond memories of it and that king of the lizards is still hanging in my wall.
