Okay, it turns out that I did demonstrate this amplifier but it was seven years ago so in my defence I think it’s okay to forget something that happened seven years ago LOL I mean I have shot over 2000 videos now…God help me 😂

He also played a full-size Jubilee for a blindfold challenge where he had to spot the real Marshall amongst stuff like Friedman and Victory amps.

To be honest it wouldn’t surprise me if he can’t. He’s done a hell of a lot of videos and played a hell of a lot of gear.

I added just a tiny bit of verb in post because I think of dry amp in a very small room doesn’t give you an accurate representation of the sound, but I have to say I was amazingly impressed with this powerful little head!

I have one and love it, my favorite amp of all time. Highly versatile, basically a 3 channel with the clipping turned on :)
How’s it sound at lower bedroom volumes?
Amazing amps. I have the 100 watt. So cool. One of the best Marshall’s available. I have an afd100 I use all the time too.
Listening back, the sounds even better on the recording than I remember in the room, some amplifiers record really well like that - very interesting. :-)
What cab did you use Rob? I'm thinking about getting a Barefaced....
Yep. It definitely needs reverb. This amp is the best. Hit it with a klon to boost the lead channel. It’s magic !

Amazing, I have Pacifica, same color and model that you have shown and in FM3 Brit Silver is my favorite patch. So much bass, such a rich tone.

Great choice. I've just picked up the Jubilee for a bargain on gumtree and it's bloody marvellous. Very versatile - I particularly love the clipping circuit sounds on both channels with Texas Specials and some old Satch pickups. Plus without clipping it does more JCM800 style sounds. Keep it on full power! 🤘
The clipping circuit only works on the clean channel

I am lucky to own one of these. Ignore the clip mode and boost it up front with an overdrive and a mid boost, just like Gary Holt does, and it's a monster.
Yep. I hit the lead channel with a klon style drive and it’s epic. The clip mode doesn’t work on lead channel btw
Or, dime it all with a boost and go straight to metal.
I recall you doing a "Can Rob spot the Marshall amp - Avec le blindfold?" and playing one of these. Memory is a malleable and ephemeral thing though. Cheers Rob.

Most of the 100 watters shipped with the bias too cold. The mini is auto biased so this isn't a problem.
I still have the plastic on the pickguard on my 2018 Gibson Flying V.
My 100 watt solid state makes perfect sound, clean or scratchy! I am not surprised.😁
Bollocks, I bought a Mini Silver Jubilee based on the receives you did on Andertons, the very first Andertons UA-cam I ever saw.

It's not a built in tube screamer, it's a extra clipping diode not quite the same thing. You could say it's more like a boost pedal

You tried the the 100 watt Jubilee alongside the 800 nine or ten years ago, you preferred the 800.

I think this is what Behringer was cloning when they made the Ha40R recently, not exactly the same OBV but the silver knobs and the sound is seriously the same...NO JOKE I crapped my pants when I tried one, and then bought the crap out of it lol. Birch box too!

I have found that out of all these Marshall Studio Heads, The Silver jubilee, Plexi, JCM 800, DSL 20 Head, that you are just best off to get the DSL 20 Head.. It does everything that all the rest of them do just as good and if not better plus you can also get Higher Gain Tones.. The DSL 20 is half the price of the others.. Built exactly the same.. They are all Green Board Tube Amps.. None of them are hand wired or nothing like that.. The Silver Jubilee, Plexi and JCM 800 are all one trick pony's and the DSL 20 is extremely Versatlie for half the price and the exact same quality
@@NT-ed9fo Whatever buddy.. They use the same parts right down to the Transformer.. Same Identical Circuit except for extra Gain stages in the DSL 20.. Shielding is no different.. Obviously you are not an Amp Tech and have no clue..
I own the 100w version and it gets that quintessential "modded jcm800" thrash tone of the late 80s, too. Fucking fantastic amp.
Funny enough; the 100w version sounds way more aggressive on the high power setting than the low... The volume difference isn't really much but it sounds so much better for metal at 100w that's where I leave it lol.
That’s basically what the Jubilee is. A from the factory modded JCM800.
And it doesn’t seem funny that the amps is more aggressive when you’re on the higher power section. Seems to me that’s what its supposed to do.. I can’t wait to get mine I ordered. It’s on backorder for November.

I'm pretty sure you tried a full sized Jubilee in an old Andertons vid - along with the 2203X reissue.

I have owned the original SIlver Jubilee for some years, but never had been happy with it's sounds. Maybe, because it was the combo version. So I changed to a Crate Vintage Club, which sounded much better to me at this time.
The clean sounds never convinced me very much, but also not the overdrive sounds, as long as you are not turning up Master very high. Meanwhile I have some amp plugins of this amp, which I like more, than the original amp.
But I would not want to buy a real one again.
A SV-20 or 1959 alone or with a PlexiTone in front gives me more convincing sounds.
Nevertheless a versatile Marshall, if you like it's sounds in general. More some sort of hot-rod JCM800, but definitely no 1959 or 1987. Unfortunately I never have been a JCM fan, although I really like Plexis.

All album purchases were refunded through the label due to massive manufacturing delays. Music should be ready to release in a couple of months time ❤️

dude I told you this last year when you bought the JCM800. It's the greatest amp ever built for rock. It is Class A, and it's every fucking bit beautiful for it. The 2555 is not, so you won't get all the jangles like you do with the 2525.

3:20, and then.....he played thru the amp. For 1:36 he kinda talked and played some uninteresting things there. I was looking to buy one of these. I changed my mind.

Yes you have tried it several times. There are two Andertons videos where you try the mini combo and Captain played the mini head (7 years ago) and the bigger head (8 years ago). Liar.
