All these years later I still come back to watch this. And I own the 100watt version. One of the best amps ever made !
Lee Anderton has the greatest job in the history of jobs.
YEA RIGHT, PORN STARS HAVE HANDS DOWN THE GREATEST JOB
+Matt Bailey no
+Harry Evans yea I don't know how you guys do it accross the pond but in the US you have to pass a std test and be cleared
+MB215 k but they're a thing in the rest of the world
You don't have to be a porn star to get an STD...
You guys are totally right about the spec of this amp being switchable from 20w down to 5w - its me getting my 2550 & 2555X amps mixed up - sorry!!
+CaptAnderton Cap you need to invest in a Gretsch suits you sir
+Vivian Stanshall, if memory serves, he has one. Revealed in his 'cribs' episode.
+CaptAnderton Would you say 5w mode is quiet enough to be usable for room practice?
+Vivian Stanshall I believe he has one I could be wrong though
+Leuff 5 watt is definitely fine for room practice - the volume you get depends a lot on the speakers you are using though and the acoustics in your room etc. Usually it is more than fine, you can even use a 15 or 30 Watt amp to practice in your room, (you roughly need to double the power to gain an increase of 3db) - depending on the volume you want, your pedals, guitar etc.
that intro, that riff, that timeless tone, and that chappers's laugh, a well thumb up deserved
guys could you do a store walk through like through the whole store and talk about the different guitars/amps/pedals and all the other guitar stuff i would love to see that because i always like that part in the sounds like vid's when they go through the store and pick the stuff.and hey it would be a great ad for the store too.
Yea
Yea
yep
Aye
Yeah!
Why is it that all the top comments on all videos are lame jokes about coming early? The last time it happened to me, nobody was laughing.
One of the best sounds to come out of the Anderson's video room in quite some time. Nice to see them demo products where it is difficult not to get a good tone, very musical and pleasant.
Some of the best sounding jamming I've seen you do (and that says A LOT). Awesome amps. Wishlist +1
Thanks for the video!
The jams are getting better and better, you guys are seriously hitting the same wavelength its awesome
This video is a much better representation of these amps than any I’ve found going down the 2525c rabbit hole
I'm looking forward to hearing this super group! Thank you chaps! As ever keep making me want to play! Thanks, really need to visit the store!
one of the best sounding demos ive heard from these guys
Been watching all your videos non stop for months now. Great work
Haven`t heard a Marshall sound so good in a long time.
"Modern and new is great, but that'll get you laid" truer words have never been spoken
you guys have come a long way with your videos. it's fun looking at these old ones...like a little time capsule
That clean tone at 9:50 was sweet. Not the typical, albeit it awesome, Marshall roar...
Good to see the other side of this amp's capability. Great demo guys.
Man, so enjoy watching you guys!!
Lee - you said it once - UA-cam success is about PERSONALITY and how you interact together as much, if not MORE, than the quality of the content/demo itself...
Would that I could one day crack a cold one (or sip some tea??) with you guys...that'd be a truly special thing!
(BTW - late CONGRATS guys on your CURRENT lives and children/new things as of 7/28/2017!)
Nice one lads, sweetest jam I've heard you do. These amps may only have one sound but WHAT a sound. Carry on.
That is really THE sound! My next amp is going to be a Marshall Jubilee! Fabulous demo.
Capt. and Chappers playing is great! Always love it!
I love these videos with a burning fiery passion
Hi Rob, Hi Lee
All is want to say thank you guys, and I love you guys.
I learned so much from your videos. I started watch your videos in the end of 2014 and I love to see how you are evolved, and learned from each other. How Rob become a more bluesy player, and how you Lee being more acceptable to high gain, rock, metal stuff.
It's funny because rob is the only channel that i enjoy that actually reads and responds to the comments
nice banter. Played in a band in mid 90's who played this amp with a LP. He sounded awesome. I think you've prompted me to get one
The tone with the JEM. Sweet !!
I loved Chappers tone with the ML2! It sounded sick!
This is absolutely the very first time I've fancied a Gretsch, though I'd prefer hardtail in red. Oh, nice revamp of the opening, Chappers. And Captain, really appreciate all the new content on the Andertons channel. Even bass! What next? Drums? Make yer dad proud.
You guys are some of my favorite people. Rock on.
My favorite show on UA-cam,Love these guys!!
Man that Gretch and Lee soun great together!
+CharlieChaz Estabrook Yes they do
You guys have the best videos on the whole UA-cam 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸🎸🎸
Great choice Rob .. my two favourite guitars together.. one in each hand!
I've got a marshall JCM 2550 head I bought brand new in 88, and not the Jubilee. Its all black tolex. I still own it and it still is all original. Great videos guys!
Amazing review, you nailed the tones of it and you picked interesting guitars!
The Jubilee amps all sound great to my ears. Classic Marshall tone in relatively affordable packages.
Nice playing Rob ! Always great demos from u guys the amp sounds great
Captain, your playing throughout was awesome.
you know, the both of you jamming out and the ..just banter makes your vids cool. hardware is secondary.....thanks. cheers
There is no doubt that you guys give the best reviews on equipment. I really love the way you cover everything about the product your reviewing. Plus...I just ordered this the head version of this amp. I currently have the Marshall SL5 and I really don't think I was ever satisfied with it. For some reason it just didn't seen to have the sound of a Marshall JCM. I could be wrong but wasn't it replicated after a JCM? Anyway...I am pretty sure this amp will do what I am expecting it too.
I must buy the combo. In the early 80's I played with a guy who had the original amp....... Sounded great!!
I always knew The Captain could play lead guitar! Awesome video!
I have to say there are to my ears, still the best sounding amps you've ever had on here! 🤘🤘
Was rewatching the im back video and was thinking congratulations on all youve accomplished i know how it feels to fight the darkness
Also i know it has nothing to do with this video but all ill say is think about it
Nice to see the ML2 classic. Not mentioned that often, but probably the classiest chapman
Beautiful crunch tones coming-out of that Chappers T style.
The head version sounds very nice - wow. By "wow" I mean, holy hell that sounds incredible for a mini head amp.
That lil jam on the Ibanez was sweet. I LIKE
A severely underrated gigging amp. Put these little jubs through a decent 2x12 or 4x12 and it'll do any gig.
Cool sounding REAL amps! Thing is, they made 50/25 Jubilee heads back in '87, with the slightly larger head box.
Probably the best sound I've heard coming through my earphones.
Broken glass/ mug sound effect never gets old!
The Jem sounds amazing!!!
Lee flying cheap is setting a good example. Great video!!!!
I always loved the sound of a good Marshall :)
Chappers lead playing on that Blue Floral Jem was outstanding, it even sounded "Vai-ish".. Excellent! \m/
Pure gold as usual!
That tone Rob has is filthy!!!! 😈
Lee.. man.. That Gretsch suits you so well!!
And damn the tones!!!!
+Jon Kattrup Agreed!
+Jon Kattrup I have one similar, great guitars, very affordable and they just look dam cool.
Bloody good video and the amps sound awesome true Marshall sound loving the videos Lee ,all of them
I have had the Marshall Mini Silver Jubilee head for almost six months now. And for six months I have had mixed feelings about it. One day I think it sounds great and the next it sounds just ok! It just seems like something is missing. Then a day ago I purchased the Marshall DSL40C. Needless to say I was blown away by it. It just sounded way more Marshall to me. It had that growl that I love from a Marshall amp. I run the Jubilee through a cab with vintage 30 speakers so a cab change wasn't needed. I don't know......maybe I am going a little crazy for thinking a foreign made amp sounds better then a British made one.
They did make a mini version back in 1987...the 2553, and that has the 50 watt to 25 watt switch. Had matching 2x12 A and B cabinets, with G12H's, or the V model with Vintage 30's, and it was called the 3/4 stack. I own one, and was hoping to see with this video if the 2525 was a suitable substitute to keep the vintage rig at home, but still gig with the same tone.
Captain Lees best playing yet and killer monster tone from those Silver Amps of Love
Yay, finally a new episode! 😃
i cant wait to start playing the gutar even though i got a disability its not going to stop me from playing
+Nick Rosen Good man, go for it!
Good on you, mate! We wish you well! :)
+Nick Rosen havent played in 28 years. now thats a disability. rock on dude. you got the heart, you got the skills. rock on
+Nick Rosen What is your disability? I have spastic cerebral palsy, and I am in my early thirties, so I might be able to provide some advice (which would be a nice break from gear advice, though I am always glad to give that).
+Nick Rosen Good for you Nick. I am disabled with severe RA and I have been playing for over 30 years. I thought when I was diagnosed my playing days were over but they had just begun. I find it good to be stubborn as heck. GL!
I love your sound effects in your videos
Hey. Your videos are great! It's the ten minutes of talking that I can do without.
"Modern and new is great, but that'll get you laid".....words to be carved in stone!
I can say that 2525H with 2x12" vertical cab sounds amazing when played live. I was expecting much based on youtube reviews etc. but when I started playing it myself, I was blown away. Its such powerful setup! If you expect that 20W of tube power is "not loud, enough for home" then you are totally wrong. It is enough for practice with full band and for gigs in smaller clubs. For home usage is 5W switch, which still is makes this amp sound great, punchy, and incredibly loud. Seriously, I am never going higher with output master on 5W setting more than 4/10 (input gain 5/10, no clip engaged). Best money spent ever!
How quiet can you play this at? I have a 50w boss katana that I keep at volume 3/10 to stay below 85db at home (measured using an app), but I'd love to get a 2525h or c, just afraid I won't be able to use it at home without upsetting the wife and neighbours
i love that combo. plus vox ac10 for clean and couple pedal, would be a perfect gig rig
The Jubbie 2525 amps are great, along with the 40DSL - love the blue meanie JEM, Chappers; nice playing.
I love these both variations of this amp! On my purchase list, would be saving up, and hopefully get the combo in the future to add to my marshall collection! I also plan to buy one of the carbon fiber combos, one with the cfx effects! I know I need alot of saving to do! Feel free to give opinions guys!
daaaym. I always loved these videos its 3 yeard when is started to watch these. And this video was super sounding! those amps are literally kicking b*lls! And lees sound on gretch was perfect and chaps sound on the gem was perfect! one of my favorite guitar videos all times! thank you guys for providing amazing content. Rob please notice me ;______;
those sounds of breaking glass made me laugh every time. Sweet playing btw
cool amps and guitars dudes.. also cool riffs as usual
20 Or 5 Watts NOT 50/25 watts
Marshall 2525C Mini Silver Jubilee - 20/5W 1x12" Combo 20/5-watt Tube Guitar Amplifier Combo with DI Output, Effects Loop, Footswitch, and 12" Celestion G12M Greenback Speaker
Old comment but that threw me off as well
Very true
lee, you are getting better and better, god
for my ears it is one of the best sounding amps you`ve ever tested...
Great video!!! :) keep up the good work chappers!
Finally some decent song playing in the intro obviously no disrespect to rob who is a great player, but at least we know how they sound if we want to replicate our heroes please do it more often guys to keep it fresh and not just constent shredding and keep up the great content :D
I have the combo version and couldn't be happier, if your into Slash, Angus, Aerosmith etc. its right there!!! those big rock tones!! it sounds nice with a Les Paul, Strat or Tele!!
Thanks for painfully reminding me how much I miss my Floral Pattern JEM. *siiigh*
I own the 20 watt head and even though I’ve owned a few Marshall’s before it including the DSL40C and the Class 5. This is the best Marshall I’ve owned so far and the best sounding. That with a Les Paul and its pure kick ass hard rock Guitar tone.
Hey I might buy the head too, what do you think about the clean channel, is it pretty dynamic/ sparkling ? Ever tried a fuzz pedal on this amp ?
vuriby The clean channel is quite nice. While it’s not fender blackface clean it’s still very good. Also I’ve not tried a fuzz pedal thru it as I don’t own one at the moment
@@seanyiscubsfan1 Thanks for the reply !
The Gold Top Chapman is looking really nice....sounds great too.
Nice demo, thanks!
You guys inspire me to practice more! Thanks for what you do, even if you are promoting yourself it's still awesome to hear you guys play. I love the product reviews too. Cheers
Love that Jubee Marshy sound.
Gold top sounds amazing !!
Amazing amps. I'd give anything for that Gretch and Classic ML-2.
I love that they are actually using EL34 in a lower wattage amp...
The lead work on that ibanez was superb
Ooooo new to that intro animation. Looks good
Chappers is doing in in true Angus Young fashion. Nice job. Wish i could solo like that.
love the good ol captain, he's got the blues even if hes not quite the virtuoso you bet id like to learn a lot of stuff from him, regarding blues guitar
Nice thing is it uses el34"s. Hence the classic Marshall tone, unlike most moderately powered amps.
The sound of The Captain playing around 12:00 is the best sound ever.
I play Traynor mostly, bc of the awesome clean sound, then use dirt pedals as a 2nd channel.
But I've been thinking of getting a British style amp for my dirt channel, either for studio only, or with an A-B pedal.
I'm really liking these new lil Marshalls though... great tube distortion at decent recording volumes.
Great vid! Keep em coming :-)
Fellow traynor fan here but I gotta say I have a 1 watt jvm Marshall 50th anniversary model that was made in England. I got it for 400$ ( it was 879$ on the sticker) pricey I realize but it is beyond words amazing. Even 1 Marshall watt is stupid loud.
peace
wade wilson yes I really like the sound of Marshall tubes overdriven. I play an SG (& I've got a strat & a mustang), but the Gibson pups through a Marshall sound awesome.
Traynor does great drive, but not as hard core. Even with the switching on my dark horse (Amer, Brit, & Pure) the Brit channel isn't as driven. Sounds great for bluesy stuff though :-)
These sound fuckin AMAZING!!! God I love those killer Marshall tones!
solid feel from the captain
The Gretsch sounds awesome!!!
