- Marshall has been kind enough to send me all three of their Studio Series of amps for review, The Marshall SC20 JCM800, The Marshall SV20 Plexi, and in this video, we are going to look at the Marshall 2525H Studio Silver Jubilee. Even though all three of these amps are fantastic my favorite of all three is the Silver Jubilee 2525. In this video we look at the tones we can get out of this 20-watt studio beast. The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.

How to get a great tone out of a jubilee: lower the treble and presence till your ears don’t bleed anymore. Turn up the bass to just before it gets wobbly. Turn up the mids until you get a thick yet spicy cream. Put the master on atleast 6 1/2, lead master to balance the channels and put the gain to reach the desired amount of noise. There you go, now just enjoy lead sound nirvana
I had the studio versions of the JCM800 and the Plexi. Loved them both but ended up selling. Finally got a Silver Jubilee and can comfortably say it's never going anywhere. absolutely floored by this thing.

why go into the computer,im 65 an old an quit using effects long ago,only guitar and amp,i dont understand, everyone has to have a little something extra i guess,i used to use tube screamer,an later the newer expandora years ago,and a flanger..i seen robin trower talk about his newer amp, the vintage modern, an he said the old plexi,s etc were great, but thru all the touring etc etc, you had so much upkeep on them, seems like a millionaire could afford this,o well, we older strat players all love trower an he,s like 75 now with blackmore an beck an clapton,an jimmy page an others the same age,an still doin what they do, sort of........
i paid 1364.00 for my little silver jubilee 20 watt, it sucked so bad,an was listed as,..mint..my vs15 blew it away in every area,an i got my money back, what in hell did the first owner do to this amp in the short time he had it...?????????
Is the price difference between this one and the DSL20 , in terms of build quality, tone, versatility... (i hear that they sound different, but i like both) worth it ? I have an origin 20 and i love it (400$ amp that competes with my vintage italian and british amps, of course i love it) so the jubilee has to be real good to justify the higher price, but i'm also completely okay with paying more for something that might require less maintainance over the years and maybe have a better overall tone ! But only if it actually is better. So yeah, i wish you could help me on that one ! Thanks :)
