I’m a widowed mom of two young kids, 7 & 3. With the loss of my husband’s income I try to find ways of cutting costs wherever I can. My husband was the one who did all of the maintenance on our vehicles and I don’t even know when the last time he did each thing was. So far I’ve learned how to change my own oil and that’s it. Today I changed both of the air filters in the truck, and thanks to you I’ve successfully changed the fuel filters on my own. Honestly, I could cry I’m so proud of myself. I hate that I have to do any of this and that he’s not here to take care of us. But thanks to people like you I’m able to learn how to do these things myself and the savings will help keep the lights on. Thank you so much!!!! I’ll be sending you your latte, you deserve it!
Just glad I could make a video that would help people. I’m sorry for your loss, and I’ve said a prayer for your family. Please don’t send me any lattes, and if you did let me know and I’ll send the money back. Thank you for the comment and thank you for watching. God bless your family. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Now that's how to do a how to video!!! A lot of idiots on UA-cam want to tell their whole life story before getting to the how to part. Thanks for getting right to the point and making this an easy how to instructional video.
It’s insane what shops are quoting me for it. $600-$800 to change the fuel filters? What the hell.. Thanks for this. I’m buying the parts and doing it myself. This is easy. If I can change water pumps out this is a walk in the park compared to that.
Just as easy as you showed brother! Hell yes! Had to cycle about 8 times then finally stopped hearing the fuel cycle through. Thanks again brother!! 🇺🇸
My first diesel.. 40k miles and it went to sprayin everywhere. Never knew I had to change that. Absolute spot on video, changed em in 20min, primed em, runs like a charm. Saved me from spending big $ at the Ford dealership for that quick nonsense.

Great stuff! Changed my 2019 F350 longbed with 20,200 on the clock. Easy-peasy! Dealer wanted $249.00 to do this, I got oem parts at the counter for $115 and did it in 35 minutes. Two things, on my truck the filter location was lengthwise under the rear cab by an indent in the fuel tank, and the bolts were 8mm not 9mm. Other than these very minimal things to look for with a 2019 longbed, its all the same. :) Thanks!!
Thanks man! Your video explained on the upper filter to squeeze the sides of the orange clip once the retention clip has been lifted. It then slide right off ... thanks!

I just changed both the fuel filter and fuel/water separator filter at 25k on my 2017 F250. I had no water in the drained fuel or in the separator filter, but I live in Northern California where we have very low humidity and relatively mild winters. However, I cut the fuel filter in half to examine the filter and it was very dirty. Glad I changed it early.

Pretty easy to follow. I had a low fuel pressure warning after doing it, so I checked the gasket on the cartridge filter. I might not have got it tight enough first go round. Re installed the filter, made sure it was tight and good to go.

Great video Colt. I bought both filters using your link and got started draining the bottom filter But after 5 minutes and 2.5 gallons later it still wouldn’t stop draining. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
@@skylersteinberg2308 Yes, siphoning fuel with the drain open I experienced. Your tip with backing some of the filter housing bolts did the trick today. Much appreciated.
Does it matter what the fuel level is in the truck before changing the fuel filters? I’m assuming what comes out is just the amount in the filters right?
Thanks for the video! Very helpful as I just bought a 2019 F250, one question what about if you have a push button start? How do you cycle it? I’m guessing just press the button without pressing the breaks and actually starting it.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong on my '19 but after over 9 liters I stopped trying to drain the rear filter, front one was easy and so are oil changes, great video bro!

Love your videos always good information and how to.. Your videos have helped me out a lot. Thanks . Have you thought about getting SPE Motorsport fuel filter kit ? I'm thinking about getting it for my 2019 powerstroke .. I have Pusher piping kit the one that is newest out. And have hot / cold side charge tubes as well. Have SPE coolant reroute. Got get SPE CCV reroute kit the one i have is like the old one you had on your truck.. Not doing to much to my truck keeping it looking stock NOT doing it for the longevity and get the pos factory parts off that is problematic! And have Banks rear differential cover. And have G2 front differential cover. Have Bank's Pedal Monster... Wanted to share my upgrades I done.
I haven’t thought about it to much, but I’ll prob go ahead and get it so I can have some content to film! About to order the coolant reroute, will look so much better. Sounds like your ride is shaping up nice! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Thank yah brother, my boss just dumped a box filters on my bench and said change em on the flatbed f550. No idea where th water separator was at, thanks again
Thanks for the visit bro! I just changed mine thanks to u! I was asked by a friend have u changed the fuel filter? I didn't know about so got the tools n parts n ur video came out really handy, now how many miles it's necessary to get them change?
Hell yea! Thanks for watching the channel my man! Got tons if 6.7 content my man! I think they say like 30-40k but I do every other oil change. They cheap and fuel systems ain’t! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
How come you haven done the H&S motorsports Fuel filter conversion ? I’m asking because I’m thinking of doing it since my plastic filter broke and leaked all over engine bay. Anything wrong with it that I don’t know about?
My man, appreciate it brother. Doesn’t matter. I’ve done it with full tank before. If the separator won’t stop draining open the fuel cap and disconnect the upper filter and it should break the siphon 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

Just bought a 2019 F-250 Lariat last night with 6900 miles on her. 1st diesel for me so I have a lot to learn. THANK YOU for this video. If you have any pointers for me PLEASE let me know. I’ll check your other videos, but I’m curious if I should be changing motor oil on a normal change interval like a gas engine? I’m down in south Florida where it stays hot year round. Thanks again! I do have to take the truck back though as the touch screen is locking up and lagging behind. I’ll touch a button and it takes sometimes 10 seconds before it changes screen, and after I reset the damn thing, now it won’t find any WiFi signals where before it did.
J V sorry to hear about your screen! I live in Louisiana so it’s hot here as well! I run Rotella T6 in my trucks. I had a duramax I ran it in as well. I’ve got a video on changing the oil you can watch as well. I usually go anywhere between 5500-7500 on oil. Depends how much I pulled during the interval. Some people wait till the dash says so, but oil is cheap and I like the peace of mind, plus I like messing with stuff lol. Thanks for watching, and if you get a chance subscribe, ima always trying to put out new videos! 🇺🇸
Jim just push the start button, but do NOT hit the brake pedal. It won’t start without hitting the brake so that’s how you cycle a push button truck. Please like and subscribe! 🇺🇸
Hey brother! No. The diesel that comes out isn’t any good. That is the diesel that got put in the water separator. Just dispose of it or keep it for staying fires or something. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

Great video. Thanks, it was very helpful.
Nice Video, Thanks...Just Got My 2019 6.7 PowerStroke Couple Of Days Ago...
Darrell Ruff you are going to love it! 🇺🇸
What's the torque callout? 44lbs?
Thank yah brother, my boss just dumped a box filters on my bench and said change em on the flatbed f550. No idea where th water separator was at, thanks again
My man! You good to go now! Thanks for watching brother. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
@@COLTSWAY thrue I'd you don't mind me asking how many miles u get the oil change, I'll do mine probably like every 5k
I do mine every 10k. Run Rotella T6 oil. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Just picked up a 2019. How would you cycle it with a push to start?
I go over that in the video, but you just push the start button WITHOUT hitting the breaks. You don’t want to actually start it. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
need a wobble bit for those tight up against the frame. Just did mine for the first time...totally need a wobble.
Think I’ll look into getting one! Thanks! Please like and subscribe! 🇺🇸
How come you haven done the H&S motorsports Fuel filter conversion ? I’m asking because I’m thinking of doing it since my plastic filter broke and leaked all over engine bay. Anything wrong with it that I don’t know about?
Quick question. I have a full tank of fuel. Would it matter? Thanks. Liked and subscribed
My man, appreciate it brother. Doesn’t matter. I’ve done it with full tank before. If the separator won’t stop draining open the fuel cap and disconnect the upper filter and it should break the siphon 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Nice truck. Needed this video. Much appreciated.
Any suggestions on where the best place to buy replacement filters etc?
I get mine from Amazon brother. I posted links to it in video description, but I’ll drop it for you right here my man. Thanks for watching, hit that sub button if you haven’t. Trying to grow the channel! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸 amzn.to/3CLoTHj
Great, informative video Colts Way.👍. Does your Diesel exhaust fluid exchanger have a filter system as well?
Thanks brother. I appreciate you watching. Hit that sub button if you haven’t. The DPF has a filter but it’s not changeable. When it goes bad you need a new system. That’s why I got rid of mine….🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Thanks brotha and YES I just subscribed! Do you have a video on removing the DEF exchanger and also do you have any maintenance tips on preserving it, if it has not failed yet🤞?
You should get a chest and/or headband for your phone or gopro so you can have both hands. Just a thought.
Yea for sure. I’ve got a go pro now with a lot of different mounts I Use. It helps a lot. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Great video and very informative, thank you. Got a new subscriber.
Thank you! I really appreciate it. 🇺🇸
COLTS WAY Thanks Brother! I’m subscribed!!!
J V thanks my man! 🇺🇸
COLTS WAY Here’s my truck. ua-cam.com/video/M22IXG7b8eM/v-deo.html
J V man that is sweet. I love that color!
How would I cycle my 19? it has touch start. And on 17's I see there is a connector on top that has to be released. First Model year issues. Ha.
Jim just push the start button, but do NOT hit the brake pedal. It won’t start without hitting the brake so that’s how you cycle a push button truck. Please like and subscribe! 🇺🇸
Great info!! Thanks for the info. So simple!
Thank you... just changed my 2018
Shit man; thank you for watching brother. I appreciate it. Hit that sub button if you haven’t. Trying to grow the channel. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

Thanks brother, I appreciate it! Don’t ever get rid of that 7.3 best diesel ever made! 🇺🇸
Great video! Very informative. Thank you.
Anything, thanks for watching.
Do you put the diesel back in your tank from the bucket?
Hey brother! No. The diesel that comes out isn’t any good. That is the diesel that got put in the water separator. Just dispose of it or keep it for staying fires or something. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
