I appreciate all the detailed points touched on. First time seeing your channel and I am now subscribed because of the quality of detail. Thank you for the video.
In addition to locking the truck from the outside - you had the key fob in your hand outside the truck.....IF you lock your key fob in the truck (Beach or someplace you don't want to take your keys) and you lock it from the outside it disables that keyfob until the unlock code is put into the door.
That isn't a secret hiding spot for your fob it actually has a purpose. If you ever have a low battery on your fob and your vehicle won't start place it there and it will it has RF chip in which will give it enough juice to start it. Also if you ever lose your fob and purchase a new one it's how you program them for your vehicle.
I understood that the well was where you put your key to change the options in the MyKey feature. I read about that in the owners manual but never really understood what MyKey really does.
I take a small diameter drill bit and drill into the latch for the seat....attach braided fishing line and attach it to the headrest to make it easier...ive done that on four trucks so far and it works great.
And the top hidden feature is the 10 speed transmission that goes out at 46K that introduces you to Fords new No Loaner Policy for the 1+ month while they try different things to repair or replace it. ( it is under the 3 year warranty though)
Folks with the door keypad should ALWAYS use the two bottom button method of locking their doors when in public. Many vehicles are stolen by people nearby your parked car...when you push a button on your key fob, a radio signal is transmitted and it travels a long way...I can start my truck from 200Ft away. That signal can be received by others who have the right equipment. Once the key codes are received, they can be used to program a generic key. Your vehicle can now be taken very easily. Use the buttons and don't transmit your codes whenever possible.
If the F250 system is like the F150 that's not a key fob hiding spot. That's to operate the vehicle if the fob battery dies for push start, or to program they key to the vehicle. Still lots of good info, somethings you mentioned I didn't know🤙🏾👍🏾
You're right if you have a the keyless push button ignition. My truck doesn't have that option and still takes the actual key in the ignition. So for me... it is just a secret hiding spot.
I totally enjoyed and learned from your video! I have read the owners manual several times and you covered “things” that I never saw in my formal educational (book) education!!!
Great video man, very informative, I got something for you, press the button on the remote that opens the doors and hold it down for 6 seconds and you will see your front windows will roll down, so if you're living in a hot State like where I am in Florida you would really appreciate this so you can let the air out the cabin before you enter, my 2015 F250 came with remote start and that help a lot also.
Well son of a gun, I'll be checking out a few of these tricks tomorrow! Especially the backseat latch.. I knew that thing folded down. Also the screen theme will be cool to check out. Thanks again!
Great video, great info. Ref. The secret hiding spot for the key. That is actually some electronic sensing thing. If the battery on the key fob dies or key fob breaks if you put the key there, the car will read a chip on the key and your able to start the truck.
Yep, except for I don't have the keyless option. So for me... its just a hiding spot. Its also used to program the "my key" option which is pretty cool too.
Nice video & beautiful wife and I'm glad she's in your video because one of the criteria in choosing a truck was my wife being able to look over the hood. On occasion my wife tows our trailer and she likes to look over the hood to be able to "see" ahead of her. Initially I wanted Ram or Chevy but they have those hood scoops she didn't feel comfortable driving those trucks. Her exact quote "well I guess you're driving this truck". A non starter. Occasionally I have to drive her car and swap out vehicles so her being comfortable driving such a big truck around town was important to both of us. My wife is only 5'2 and she has the seat all the way up when she drives. 🤣 Sometimes I forget when I jump into the truck. 🤣 Anyway we settled on a Ford F-250.
Thank you for the cleaning supplies, I will definitely put it to good use on my 2020 F250 Lariat Power Stroke. He is having an American Luxury Coach Intruder Package installed. Can't wait to get him back and try out the products!! Thanks again. I've only put 1,000 miles on it, can't wait to get my first fluid change and do some performance mods.
Just got my 2020 F350 SD Tremor. Interested in your upcoming Forscan video. i.e. tire pressure (I run 110 PSI set up for my fifth wheel), gauge details and turn off beep when step outside with keys inside and truck running, maybe cruiser mode(?) where fob is required to shift gears.
Really informative video! Wondering why after parting with $90k+ for my new F-250 Tremor, these tips aren’t disseminated to us peasants? Thanks, great job, will follow for more tips!
Great video, lots of information. Can you tell me how to get the "Compass" on the display screen? I have a 2021 F250 XLT and have looked but can not find it.
Tks for great vid,, looking at F-350 eventually , nice camionero! I got a 2009, from new, works like the day I got it, Triton 5.4 pulls 11000 lbs but no motor brake only problem. Will upgrade when we go full time, cheers from Canada!
@ 7:58: Not a "secret hiding spot" but a place to put your key fob in order to start the truck should the battery in your key fob die. If the battery in your FOB dies then place the key in there and you'll be able to start the truck. Probably shouldn't leave or hide your key in there unless you want to have someone else drive away with your truck.
@@BigBoyToyzz Page 78 of the F250, F350 owners manual says that the slot is used when programming new keys. I think it can also be used to start the vehicle in the case that it's a push to start type setup with a dead FOB battery - as that's what it's used for in F150s.
Congrats Jeremy you are the SuperClean winner! Please email me at BigBoyToyz1315@gmail.com with your name and U.S. address. If you don't respond within 48 hours I will have to unfortunately pick another winner.
New subscriber, Super Clean! I have a 2019 F-350, and I learned a few tips from this video. BuiltRight Industries makes a very good back seat release kit.
21 F350 diesel owner / you may have covered ? how do you make the 2 horn beeps not happen when exiting the truck when its running ? 2nd what brand of bed cover is that ?
Google “Forscan” for the beep delete. Very easy to do and will also give you a ton of customizing features. The cover is a Gator and I believe it was one if the more expensive versions they make but can't remember the model number. So far it's been awesome withe no complaints.
Hey Jordan!...still waiting for that FORSCAN video! That would be really neat to see. Also...the only thing about these hidden features that I wasn't familiar with was the "sport mode" or AdvanceTrak turn off. That's a good one, there.
Superclean. I had the screen freeze up once on my Tremor but a push button off and back on FIXD mine but the reset info is great to know if it happens again
Also the door access buttons have more features like rolling windows down..etc...wish Ford would publish this stuff better. Good video...I am a F11 guy sorry Superclean.
F150 (Platinum at least) provides the following - Sport Mode available in the drive mode menu; no tricks needed. It also has a strap beside the back seat to fold the seat down; no gymnastics needed to access. The front camera gets washed every time you wash the windows; no need to turn the camera on. The temp, miles to empty, etc. above the gauges is on by default; no Forscan needed. You can change the screens with Forscan and they'll stick; not switch back after a few uses. You can also enable "Lincoln mirrors" in Forscan which will automatically fold the mirrors in when you lock the doors. Another one I like to use is the "police park" feature in Forscan. Enabling that will prevent the vehicle from being taken out of park if the key is not in the vehicle (so you can leave your truck running when running into a convenience store without fear of being stolen).
That’s not enough hidden feature. You can also open your tailgate if if you press the 5/6 button after code. You can open you two front windows if you hold down unlock on your key fob for 3 seconds. Also you can go into hec test mode on the dash display by holding the ok button on the steering wheel with the truck off and key in range. I know many more.
@@BigBoyToyzz that looks like a lariat trim. Also also you have to have is a keyfob that unlocks the doors for the window thing. You don’t have that? And you should have a power dropping tailgate. I have a 2019 f250 lariat and it can do these things.
Yep it's a lariat trim but I don't have the power tailgate. I had the truck built so I didn't pay for items I didn't want or maybe need. My tailgate didn't even have the dampen assist for lowering. I did add that later though. My tailgate also doesn't have the step built in but I did add the bumper step which I like better because I can get into the bed without the tailgate down. Helps alot when I have a trailer because I can't put the tailgate down because it will hit the trailer jack.
I have a 2021 and that function still works minus some features.. either that or im doing it wrong i would love to change the on screen display when it turns on
Is there some sort of electric connector to charge the fob in the "secret hiding spot"? Looks that way in your pic, but my 2019 F-450 has that cubby hole but no obvious way to charge.
Not for charging your fob. It places the keyfob rfid chip close enough to a receiver that it can read the code with battery power. You can remove your battery and try it.
I thought the front camera was pretty interesting. What trim level is your truck because my 22 xlt only shows the bed and the back up camera @ 5mph then turns off. I’ve heard you can do wonders with foracan but it voids your warranty.
I like that you showed us the secret latch. I thought it was dumb the space wasn't accessible but you help me figure out its not wasted space. Why you think ford did not include the strap from the factory in the first place?
The hiding spot for the key isn't actually for hiding, many vehicles have this somewhere so if your fob battery is dead or dying, you can still start engine.
If you have an overhead console with the buttons, the one in the center disables the interior lights. If you DONT, you can use forscan for "dark mode" or "cop mode" and that disables the Interior lights and also the outside puddle lights. Downside is, you need to reprogram it if you want to turn that mode back off. You can also disable the double honk when you leave the truck running and get out with the keys or the seat belt minders. Also, turning on the other police feature where you can leave it running but it won't go Into gear without the keys inside is a worthwhile switch. Global open/global close is a neat feature as well as adding turn by turn navigation to your Guage screen.

I didn't see anyone else comment on the other key pad secret! Once you unlock a Ford vehicle with the key pad; if you press the 5/6 button and the 7/8 button at the same time, the trunk or tailgate will open.
I have a 2019 F150. How do I get off the initial pages that come up on the screen? It’s been 4 years and each time I start my truck I have to tape to remove them.
Ok, I have a 2019 F250 Super Duty Lariat but on my Display, the Transmision Indicators show PRNDM12 and I can get the Sport Trac ON as you show but I then can't hold it down to get it to go completely off as you show by holding in that button????

I didn't see anyone else comment on the other key pad secret! Once you unlock a Ford vehicle with the key pad; if you press the 5/6 button and the 7/8 button at the same time, the trunk or tailgate will open.
I’ve had to reboot my sync several times. Sometimes the nav doesn’t work right or stations 5&6 will not change. 2021 F250 Tremor
I have a 2019 F150. How do I get off the initial pages that come up on the screen? It’s been 4 years and each time I start my truck I have to tape to remove them.
Super clean!
OK, how do you make the settings stay, I chose the Shelby R and saw it then it went back to the normal Ford.
Great video and thanks for the information. 2020 F350
Ok, I have a 2019 F250 Super Duty Lariat but on my Display, the Transmision Indicators show PRNDM12 and I can get the Sport Trac ON as you show but I then can't hold it down to get it to go completely off as you show by holding in that button????
SuperClean, great video. I was wondering how to get behind the seat.

How did the test go with only one AC unit? Did you do it on same high temp day?
