- I have been using the PS Vita for a long time and this is my favorite portable console. However, the standard battery capacity is not always enough for me, especially on long trips.
I don't like using the Power Bank, so I decided to increase the battery myself. And in this video you will see how it was done and will be able to repeat.

If you are not confident in your abilities, it is really better not to do it.
@@addodiy6523 I know this comment is one year old but this is really one of the worse advice I've read. @amoththatthinks Go for it. It's never too late to learn and achieve whatever you want. Any skills can be learnt with enough patience.
I would probably have used one long, slightly thinner battery rather than combine these two. It seems like you had a lot of hassle trying to get them to fit and idk if I want to do all that cutting on the battery itself.
Yes, you are right, but my task was to fit a large battery in any way, using the voids inside as much as possible.

Hey question. Last time I took my battery out. It didn’t save my mod. And I’m gonna buy an 3500mah battery for it and I’m scared the mod won’t save again after I take the battery out. Do you know why it happens or do you know how to prevent it?
remove all memory cards also SD2VITA if you have one. it should save all that was downloaded

@6:58 you brake the speaker if you rotate. it will stop working.
Why would the orientation matter?
@@duncanmcgregor4973you rotate the speaker the terminals will not be connected and it will not work. It will fit but not function. The two gold looking metal things are what connects to the motherboard. He said he had to rotate it to fit so it's obviously not going to work.

@@duncanmcgregor4973@9:49 nope. One speaker only. It's not a good tutorial to follow. You are way better just using one big battery. Or just by a very small power bank and plug it in when using it for a long time. Even the cheapest and smallest power bank you can find well increase the playtime by 2 or 3 times. Myvita is overclocked with a new battery and a very small power bank. That's the way to go. The best mod is a type c mod. That way when the battery runs down you can find a charger very easy no matter where you are.
How long dos it last?
the original battery had a life span of 3 -5 hrs gameplay.
So with a 3000 mah battery added to it that's probably 6 - 8 hrs gameplay. In total ( original 2200 mah + 3000 mah, that's probably like 9 - 13 hrs of gameplay on a single charge.
Switch lite It posible?

Very Cool mod!
Be very careful combining 2 battery chemistries (LiPo and Sony's Li-Ion).
Be careful when they age as one battery will get high resistance (battery age or use = resistance) and the Vita won't know that. Charging a high resistance battery can cause fire.
*Re-post comment: removed incorrect battery info (couldn't edit because I was pinned). Parallel batteries are the sum of their capacities even if their respective capacity differs. My removed portion stated the combined capacity is double of only the smaller capacity.*

@@honeymoonn1262 I used a lipo 105060 in my slim Vita battery mod. That size is pretty much the maximum for the battery cavity though. There is more room for a very skinny second battery... if you want to combine batteries like this video. (10 mm by 50 mm by 60 mm = the name lipo 105060)

That’s not gonna be good with all the extra heat from the extra battery.long term use will probably end up with a fried motherboard then by by ps vita

Hello! What for? Firstly, OLED screens burn out over time and glare is visible. And secondly, you need to install a plugin that makes the screen very similar to OLED

Я бы не стал так сильно курочить консоль, мне powerbank на такой случай не сложно взять. А уж если приспичило, то можно было взять батарею и на место родной. А большую подобрать таких размеров, чтобы не пришлось вообще что-то выкусывать.
