Is it possible not to disconnect the backplate ribbon while replacing the battery? I think it's too hard to re attach it again perfectly because it's too thin.
It is possible, just be very careful that the backplate doesn't pull on the ribbon cable and damage it. The ribbon is a bit short so it makes it a little difficult.
@@subarashiitimes1186 I confirm, I disconnected it by accident and I don't know how but I was able to reconnect it without any tool. How is the battery going by the wat? how many hours does it lasts?
Hey man, how are you doing? Great video! I just bought my Cameron sino battery for my psvita 2000 but the thing is that when I plug the battery it just slides down there is no click sound and when I try to charge it there is no indicator or whatever, could you please help me???
Hey, so sorry my late reply. It's difficult to say without seeing it but if it's the plug itself that's sliding down I don't think it was plugged in correctly, which might also be the reason why it's not showing when you try to charge it. You'll need to open it again and make sure it plugs in without sliding out of place. I know it's not much help but hopefully it helps
@@subarashiitimes1186 honestly I just think it is faulty and nws take your time to answer there is no hurry☺️. Could you suggest me a website or a good reliable provider to buy a vita 2000 battery?
@@AHMED-HB The one I used in this video I got it at ebay so you can try there first. Make sure the seller is a good one. Another place you can try is Hand Held Legend, which is a cool site to get stuff for handheld and retro consoles
Is there a way I contact with you please? Because I want to fix my ps vita 2000 battery with a new one which is 3.6V and I am not getting it anywhere. So help me please 😢
hey firstly thanks for this video. i done all and replaced it successfully but when I try to charge the vita it doesn't light up ? is that normal and I just have to wait few hours or should've light up a orange light at the top indicating that its charging, can you please confirm
Hey, sorry for my late reply and I'm glad the video helped. As for the light, yes, there should be an orange light on when charging. It'll take 2-3 hours to fully charge. I've never had this happen to me before but I've read about it. Try this and see if it helps, If the battery is fully dead, charge it for a bit and turn it on while the charger is plugged in. See if it shows that it's charging while it's on (should show a lighting bolt inside the battery at the top right corner of your screen). If it's not charging, then it could be your charger. I read that it has to do with the amps the charger produces. If it's not enough it won't trigger the indicator. That was the solution I read a while back so hopefully it helps :)
My opinion is it shouldn't because it's just the battery and it's not interfering with the memory or anything but I'm not 100% sure. Maybe search some forums to be on the safe side
I regret taking out the backplate ribbon impossible to put it back in without tweezers Edit: Found tweezers took about two hours to get in. Most of the time spent was a mental break. Pretty sure I broke it but will report back soon.
For anyone looking at this in 2024, make sure you buy the correct battery. If you have the slim 2000 variant, you need SP86R, NOT SP68M
Pinning this comment because this is good info :)
Thankfully that's what I ordered😂 you haf me worried for sec
Your video helped me to do my task, I really appreciate it, I didn’t need to remove the ribbon, thanks again 😊😊❤
That's awesome! Glad the video was helpful :)
Please don’t detach the ribbon cable.

Thank you so much. You saved my ps vita.

Is it possible to replace the battery without removing the ribbon cable?
Yes, it is possible. Just be careful when opening the backplate. You don't want to pull on the ribbon cable and damage it
Thank you for the video!
No problem! Glad you liked it :)
Very helpful, I just found cheap vita that's missing a battery.

@@xGodlight That cable is such a pain! Glad you were able to connect it back. As for battery life, I get close to 5 hours after a full charge.
Very informative. It would help me in the future when I decide to buy a preloved Vita.

How did your replacement hold up over time?
It's been roughly a year and it's still working perfectly :)

What brand battery would you recommend
I would recommend the one I used here. I left a link in the description. I've had it for over a year and works great.

If it’s modded, would replacing the battery mess up my system?

at most is messes up your clock, recofigure it again and your are done
How much to fix mine
I'm sure an electronics repair store could fix it for you. I just do this as a hobby in my free time. Sorry

Why weren't you using tweezers to start with amazes me. Like... 0 iq move right there if you are reparing something.
