  • This is a bonus video created for my main review of the BMW F850GS. In this one I tested and measured the acceleration and elasticity of the new BMW with the upgraded 853 cc engine.
You will see how fast it can accelerate 0-100 km/h with and without traction control, also you will see the elasticity 60 - 100 km/h and 80 - 100 km/h on different gears.
I weight 113 kg and there are slightly off-road tyres Metzeler Karoo 3. Despite these facts I think it accelerates very quick.

Some people asks about the clothes I usually wear on the bike. Here it is:

This is great to see, not tried timing mine but as I'm 40kg lighter hopefully I shave a few 10ths off 🙂
    Love the bike!

I am curious to what speeds does it feel buzzy. Ie what speeds can you drive for 6 hours on the highway and not get vibe hands ? My triumph tiger 955 is perfect untill 110 and then it vibes at 120 and 130-150 it’s perfect. So it’s good to do 900 km a day on the highway. The downside is it’s heavy and don’t do to much off roading with it . So I am curious about the bmw gs series how they behave at 130 for extended times .

I just did 700 km on highways in one afternoon. Most of the time on 140-150 km/hour. No vibes, what so ever.

@Pilates Bruxelles. Cool so you can comfortably do 800 km a day on it at 140. Wow great ! let me try it ? I'm actually in Belgium right now

Thanks a Lot for the video. I intend to buy a GS 750 in a few weeks. I have a question.
My thought is that TFT and Navigator 6 overlap in many features and makes no sense buying
both. TFT is no brilliant in navigation but you can use your mobile phone with google maps connected to TFT. So buying TFT and no buying Navigator VI would be my preliminar decision. ¿¿Is my thinking right?? TFT and Navigator VI are attractive and expensive devices and I would like to make a wise decision and not over spend any money.
    Thanks a lot...!

BMW speedometers shows 5 km/h more than actual speed so 60-100 is actually 55-95.

Yes it does... If you are on the runway trying full acceleration for an hour.

do the same thing with a smart car (not electrical) - acceleration, acceleration, acceleration - then you will be surprised about the consumption of the 'smart car' :-)

I think this is sort of standard measurement in Europe... I would love to do 60 - 100 mph, but I may have problems with the length of my track :)) I will test soon Yamaha MT-10 SP and in this case I can definitely try it.

Omgwtflmaololrotfl that’s why BMW have the F900XR now. The 850GS was never designed as a Tracer rival. It’s an adventure bike, the Yamaha a sports tourer.

    • @omgwtflmaololrotfl2368
      @omgwtflmaololrotfl2368 4 роки тому

@@gpzfan5272 and your point is? The MT09 can do 0-100 in 2.8 seconds in the right hands. That rivals liter bikes 0-100. I wanted the gs but price and bang for buck the Tracer wins hands down. Yes I won't be able to go fast off-road as on a gs but I can still do whatever 'n gs can on off road.
That guy with his R1 that did a round world trip in every possible scenario with his R1 proved any bike can do off road. You will just go a bit slower than a purpose build bike.
The nice thing about the mt09 it's a very fast bike and yet if you ride like a normal person gives you great consumption. And yet you have a machine capable of out running most bike between the lights.
Dont get me wrong the 800 and 850 gs is a stunning machine. I have always like them. The 1200 and 1250 gs is crap bikes hate the boxer motor. The bike is is big at the bottom and that motor makes you hit your legs on the cilinders that stick out. Really shit bike for me.
But for my needs the tracer ticks every tick box.

@@omgwtflmaololrotfl2368 dude, take your Mt09 on the trails these GS's do and the bike will be so banged up in less than a year. What if you drop it? Dude you bragging about your bike on the wrong video nobody cares. Go spend more time on your bike and less commenting on UA-cam maybe you wouldn't feel the need to flaunt your skills online because people who do that don't have any and are slow! Cheers mate.
