As a native Australian, I would like to suggest they feed best on fear, and their most preferred habitats are a). bedroom ceilings right above your pillow and, 2) under car door handles and inside car mirrors. And yes, they are fast.
😂😂😂😂
Forgot to thank you guys for such a wonderful channel.
@@maxanderson9187 Thank you for all the support my friend ❤👍
You are a really funny clever guy
😂
"Now on the outside of the glass" describes keeping huntsmans perfectly 😂
wow. learned something today. I thought huntsman were an Australian species. Thanks!
Happy to help!
I swear Dave, you have the most fabulous spider room and stunning enclosures that I’ve ever seen. So gorgeous
Shame huntsman spiders give me the willies /shudder
Thank you bobbi, your very kind im glad your enjoying it all 👍❤️
They just got insulted because you were poking them with a paintbrush! They were saying " how dare you!" Then teleporting across the enclosure! Holy cow! So fast!
You just described yourself as a spider herder 😃
😂😂😂👍
That one should be nicknamed OTT...orange teleporting thing... 😄
👍👍👍😂😂😂😂😂I like that 😂😂😂😂
Hi good sir
Cracking up at "An unboxing without the box, because we don't need to see all of that" :'-D
Incredible spiders, and so well behaved as they always are in the Beastie Room!
😂😂😂 we do like to just get on with it 😂👍
That first spider in the video was fast enough to cut the room light off and be in bed before the room gets dark!
For what it’s worth, I enjoy the enclosure setups as much as the housing/rehousing 👍🏻
Cheers my friend it means a lot to us 👍👍
Very beautiful enclosures
Thank you my friend 👍
Crazy looking thigs, on my list to get for sure! Little beauties!
Well worth keeping very interesting
Brilliant video Dave, brilliant species, informative, and very enjoyable as usual. Super.
Thanks George glad you enjoyed it my friend 👍
Cool.... I've been chased out of my shed by a massive huntsman running while rearing up. Very intimidating when fully grown and angry!
I have no clue why your channel was recommended to me or why I'm watching these videos as spiders give me the creeps. But this is very fascinating.
Welcome my friend so glad your enjoying the content ❤️👍
amazing how fast they spiders are PROFF. another fine addition to the projects , thanks camera lady
There super sonic mate 😂
I learned today that Huntsman spiders can run 3 feet per second and there are two species that do cartwheels when they need to flee from danger. How neat is that!?! I want a David Bowie eventually. They're so beautiful! Even though they move so fast, they still move with grace and confidence. Very special spiders 😃
Ive been slowly trying to get over my arachnaphobia but the fast spiders still scare me a lot.
Thanks Dave the best way to start my Monday morning is watching your vids, all the best Carlos.
Cheers Carlos and thanks for watching 👍👍
You have helped me get over my fear of the big guys. Straight forward, educational and the accent makes it that much better. Spot on!
Ooooft.....scary fast.....🤤
Wow what an enclosure 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I like the David Bowie, she is beautiful !
They are gorgeous Angie
Brilliant video dave mate omg the speed of them there like lightning 🌩 super fast bursts off speed there the true spider version off tappi's lol 😂 look forward to watching ya next video stay safe mate. 😊.
Cheers matey got a nice one for Thursday for you hope you like it 👍
And I thought Poecilotheria were teleporters. These guys give them a serious run (literally !) for their money. Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
These are much quicker mate 👍
I would pay big bucks for Dave to speak to me like he speaks to the beasties
😂😂😂
Yes! Have been hoping you'd do a huntsman video at some point! I don't think I'll ever own one - my nerves aren't up to it. Great content. 👍
There very interesting .
Love the set ups you really know how to make your enclosures a great home for your spiders and they look great everytime. 2 awesome new additions keep up the great work best You Tube channel ever.
Thank you so much we really appreciate your support ❤️❤️❤️
...well, now, that's such an elegant habitat, that I'd presume ANY critter would love and enjoy living in it! it's practical as well as beautiful!
Hunstmans have always wigged me out. In order to flatten to fit behind tree bark etc their legs are jointed differently to other spiders, so they don't move like you'd expect a spider to. And they have an awful habit of falling from ceilings onto unsuspecting children.
And adults.. yuk !! Hate them..
Lovely Poof-its-gone spiders! And just wanted to say that camera lady have some steady hands. You doing awesome work!
😊 thank you
The David Bowie is gorgeous! I'm amazed at how calm you stay.
I honestly don't understand how people find these scarier than tarantulas but to be fair I am from Australia and they get pretty fucking big here
Maybe it's the lack of hairiness on body and legs? The color and size creep me out.
@@crabstick250 I love them i had one on my roof the othernight and I just let him be. They catch insects for you
Maybe they're just less familiar to most people. Huntsmen have milder venom, smaller fangs, are more reluctant to bite, and even the largest species are way smaller than tarantulas (in terms of mass).
David Bowie is so bloody quick! I think I stopped breathing for the whole time she was out of her enclosure. Brilliant stuff as usual!
Cheers Bob they dont hang around 😂😂
They are super fast, it looked like it was flying towards the camera! Cheers Dave, and camera lady!
Another fab educational presentation 👌 loved it!! Thank you 😊💓🤍
Your too kind ❤️👍
beautiful handling Dave, lovely spiders! Thanks for sharing :)
So nice of you
Your camera lady does a fantastic job love the video beautiful huntsman
Thank you 👍
They are so fast. That’s what scares me about them. They come galloping towards you and when they are the size of a dinner plate. It makes you shriek!!! This one is very pretty!!
You have the best spiders 😂😂👍
@@daveslittlebeasties you must come over and visit when you are able. See them first hand
@@Marymooau I would love too 👍👍
That entrance to the enclosure of the first spider reminded me of one of the magician stage shows, where they dissapear on stage in front of your eyes and then within a second appear at the side of the side stage up in one of the balconies lol That was quick!
They are so awesome
There amazing Sharon.
Great video and very beautiful spiders. I wish araneomorphs would life as long as mygalomorphs. That is the only reason I don` keep them.
It is a shame but most will go a few years 👍
I love how fluffy the davidbowie is for a non-tarantula spider :D I have a H. javana and the way their faces look permanently grumpy amuses me ;) Thanks for the feeding tips! As I have struggled to find info on how often to feed.
There so interesting to watch 👍
Crazy Fast! You always handle the transfer like a Pro! :-)
Thanks buddy 👍
I came across a big one of these when it dropped from the car visor and landed I'm my lap when I was doing 100km/h on the highway.
Nothing like the Australian huntsman ours are HUUUGE... ... I hate them ... Too quick and tooooo big here. You can have them.. ..The last time I had one in the house it was the size of a bread and butter plate, and once I came down stairs to find thousands of baby spiders up on the wall all hanging of threads of webs.. Never jumped on so many pieces of furniture so fast as to get out of their way.. I have a spider phobia as you might have guessed by now.. They make my skin crawl which is surprising to me that I am sitting here watching your videos. !! Have fun and enjoy your hobbie.. I'll stick to my painting I think.. hahaha
David Bowie Huntsmen: "Ground control to major Tom,"
Red Knee: "Will you shut up? I'm trying to malt. This is worse than when they housed me next to the blue Metallica!!"
What a pretty spider! Stunning
I love the channel but it's their care.
Oh, I do love the Huntsman !! just lovely !
I don't mind the tarantulas but the huntsman spiders are very scary. Dave, you are very interesting.
Thank you 🙏
Teleport mode engaged!
😂😂😂😂
Hunstmans are teleportation animals. I have live around them in my house for almost 2 years and by the time you see them they are gone! 🙂 I love these spiders!
Amazing vid mate year again done u a few shout outs the last few days your so brilliant u come up in nearly every convosatation
Im honoured Ellie and thanks for the shout outs your so kind ❤️
@@daveslittlebeasties Dave it’s so natural all if not most look to u for inspiration I’m utterly amazed by u and your wife’s work please never stop
@@elliemarie06 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️your so kind Ellie .
They are so fast, I live in Australia & we have many Huntsman species here, one spider that scares me, along with Redbacks
cooool

Happy Easter too you both hope you've had a great weekend loved the spiders especially the ginga ninja smashing colour loved the vid and as usual the enclosure's were brill ...
Thanks Marie hope you have a lovely one too ❤️👍
Hate hate hate spiders, but I always make sure to gently put them outside and never kill them! So good for eating mosquitoes and other nasties.
Hello Little Beasties Team :).
First of all i got to mention: I do 🤩 love your Exo Designs, amazing work here.Your Spiders are stunning , i stay tuned.
Greetings from old Germany 🖐
Huntsmans are super cool!
Wow very fast
Oh my! Their speed is incredible. It was as if she teleported from the container to the glass. And pretty too☺
There very quick😂😂
Hyper drive initiated!
😂😂😂
Hi Dave and Camera Lady! I once saw a huge huntsman when I was in Alice Springs down under in Australia. It was after midnight and a few of us were sitting on the back patio drinking wine and getting snockered. LOL. SO this spider was running fast because there was even bigger lizard trying to catch it. But They are a gangly spider.
News here...I think my t.albopilosum is getting ready to molt. She's encased herself into a big ball of webbing. She's webbed every where. The top, sides and her hole. Can't wait to see what's going on when I get up in the morning. Until later.
It's 5:30 am here and just got up. Imagine my surprise when I spy an egg sac? OMG!
I wasn't expecting to be tossed into the hobby like this. My Baybee had babies!
Thats fantastic news now just leave her nice and quite for around 35 days or so if you want to pull the sack or just leave her to it and let her do the work , so exciting Linda so pleased for you 😂👍👍👍good luck girl❤️
I think I'm going to start calling her the virgin mary...lol. I mean really even Stephen, the one who bred and raised her to 3 inches, can't imagine how she got preggers. Of course when told him he laughed his head off about it. What's funny is I watched your video about pull the egg sac from one of your T's just last month!
As I write this she is hovering over the top of sac and hasn't moved. I know she probably won't eat so not going to even try. Will check she has ample water though, every day. Since this is her first maybe I won't be too over whelmed with the number. Oh. One of the guys I work with wants a few and so does my oldest grand-daughter. But guess I have to get ready a spider nursery soon. Oh lordy, I'm still in a bit of a shock here...lol. I'll send pics when I can. Hugs to you both. 🤗🤗🤗🕷🕷 and have a few pints with me later. 🍻🍺🍺
@@lindabriggs5118 it may well be a phantom egg sack if the guy you got her from raised her and not bred her?
Guess we'll find out in 30 days! LOL
I bought one of those plants for on of my T enclosures just the other day.
Great minds and all that 🤣
I like them 😂😂👍
@@daveslittlebeasties just read another reply where you said you use The Spider Shop. Just checked them out and they have some interesting stock.
Fantastic video Dave! So nice to see huntsman's in a video for once 😀😀
something a little different 👍👍
UA-cam started recommending me your videos and I've been obsessed. Love your content
i raised a Lichen huntsman from a tiny sling to adult . he matured out male and lived about a year. fastest spider i had ever seen . I want an H. lunula sometime ! I have also kept javana and venatoria . Thanks for the videos !
There all very quick but so interesting to keep.👍
I love your videos .
Something about these Huntsman spiders creeps me out!!!
Looked like a Sand Arachnid my Chum.
Was thinking of getting a desert huntsman ty very informal
I just got some slings,there crazy fast🤣
They certainly are mate👍
You have a great photographer as well
I assumed the huntsman spider is the fastest spider in the world but nope, it's actually the spiders I find in my house, after a Google search....the giant house spider. Great....😅
The orange one is much prettier than the other one.
Hi Dave,
Just being a little picky. It’s “their” care. Thx for the vids.👍
Cool, thanks
I don't know if I would keep one of these (to fast for me lol) but Oh they are so interesting ! what teleporters they are! Thumbs Up !! :)
Yes they are!
Loved the video Dave where did you get the female H David Bowie I think I need one now 🤣 loved the enclosures
They both came from the Spider Shop
I have a heteropoda Sp. They're fast af man.
😂😂 they really are 😂
Blink and you'll miss it.
miss what 😂😂😂😂
these arachnids look scarier than tarentulas
Hi Dave, another great video
Thanks for watching
I thought I’d seen all of your videos but I just found this one. They aren’t my favorite (they move too quick!!) but I still enjoyed learning about them.
wow amazing they are fast but that David bowie is really fast and no I don't think you would want a nip from them and they would be hard to catch if they go loose because of there speed alone
Yes they are super fast my friend 😂😂👍
I feel like a little kid watching your channel! Reminds me of when I was watch Discovery or Nat Geo 😁
That's cool!❤️❤️❤️
that first one is a lovely shade of yellow. Do you have any tiger wandering spiders? awesome looking spiders.
Yes I do 😂👍
That first one is gorgeous. The bigger one looks like she has a back leg growing from the bottom of her back.
Dave, would you mind talking about clay pellets versus simple stone for the bottom of the bio containers? 🤔 I am not sure what is better
The clay balls stay clean in the water so no bacteria there also lighter than stones so better in the enclosure 👍
Sooooooo Fluffy
We have had a very large Nephila Pilipes (Golden orb weaver) in our garden - in The Philippines. Very large web.
so lucky 👍
fast is an understatment, they transport not move ...lol
Class video as always. I wonder why they got named after the great David Bowie? I was listening to Bowie over the past few days and then seen this and was like wow what a coincidence haha
👍👍
I think you get new spiders every day lol
Call me oldfashioned, but I prefere slow spiders. Only exceptions are jumping spiders, because they look cute.
I have a pet jumping spider, it’s adorable
They’re my favourite. They make me smile every time I see one
it also worries me that some of your spiders are not as big as some of the spiders that live in my home that are big enough to pay rent
lightning fast ideed.
Are they more faster than pokies or what? 😂
Sure are
I think you need a longer paint brush. lol
I looked away for a second and it was gone.
Never blink 😂 first lesson in HHUNTSMAN school 😂😂😂😂
Please tell me you have a daddy long leg! Love your channel subbed ya up, amazing collection
Thanks for the sub!
