- This is a recap on the 34, 1cm slings that we bred in the Beastie room last year and set up in a 20x20x20 enclosure, they are now about 2 inch in size and have out grown their present home, so today we find out how many we still have ? fingers crossed its 34? and move them all to larger accommodation .

Dave you should have called this one the great escape 🤣🤣🤣 x
This one had everything:
An enclosure balanced on the corner of the table, fingers in the enclosure and spiders doing runners all over the place!
Bloody brilliant!
😂😂😂😂❤👍
Truly, a „Best of“ spider keeping. 👍
@@ArDeeMee ❤❤❤❤
Man ppl that love spiders are some of the coolest ppl on the planet
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you very much for saying that. Tarantulas need all the positive PR, there is. But a very few even MENTION us, the keepers/owners. 😊
Omg I made myself keep watching with anxiety rising. It was fascinating and your narration is really relaxing and certainly made it easier to make it through, but wow, when they would start climbing out of both tanks my feet were tapping at a million miles an hour.
😂😂❤️❤️👍
Every time I come to this channel, I go, "woah 30-some minutes! Well, maybe I'll just watch a bit." And then I end up watching the whole thing because it's just so mesmerizing.
Whoa!
That’s awesome thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️👍
Same! Lol
Totally agree ❤️
Same here, every time! 🙌🏼😂
Man!! It's 1:30am where I am near Toronto Canada, and this video popped up. Imagine my excitement! I get to stay up later than expected. Hehe.
Hahah ikr 🤣 its almost 11 here
Same thing happened to me! We just can't put it off until morning, can we? Nope!
❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰👍
@@brookeggleston9314 nope the second I see daves put up a new video I shut off whats on the TV an watch it from my phone to my TV an my ladys gotta sit there til its over hahahahah😆 but sometimes she really loves seeing daves spiders she's scared of spiders but ik she loves how pretty the green bottle blue is an a few others I can pernounce but not spell the name of hahah
This next levels of rehouse, oh god how can you be so calm, master❤
❤❤❤
“It pays to be a little bit careful with your fingers” proceeds to dig by hand😂😂😂❤️
😂😂😂no need to worry my friend ❤️
What a beautifully healthy communal 🕷 🕸 🕷
It's the spider version of the classic Clown Car.
They just keep popping out.
❤️❤️❤️😂👍
That's exactly what I imagined, lol, even said someone should do a sped up edit with circus music playing of David trying to poke down the ones trying to escape, would be a fun little short 🤣
I'm an arachnophobe and I'm grateful for your videos. I'm learning a lot in an attempt to handle my fears. I've even taken to pausing your videos at times and sketching out these incredible creatures. Thank you so much!
You are so welcome
Ah yes, that small enclousure full of spiders, just barely half over the edge, just what I need to overclock my anxiety
Wild that I am SO stressed watching them all escaping over the side of the enclosures repeatedly and you're the one actually doing it and just aren't bothered at all, haha.
😂 There not going anywhere 😂👍
Your calmness while they are running all over the place is amazing. I would be dead.
Thank you 🙏
lol i love how they all come out staring at him like “wtf bro”
Dang that cricket won the hunger games and just got discarded for his efforts.
Love the photography, excellent clarity. The little chuckles in the background make my day. You really seemed to have your hands full this time lol. Awesome how many there were!!
They are quit lively 😂👍
"So we need to be very careful"
Sticks his hands in there anyway 😅
Crazy how fast they are lol. What's even crazier is this huge wolf spider I had in my place and it damn near teleported right in front of me. It's menacing lol
I think your videos offer the most accurate information and the best videography of any I’ve tried, and without heavy metal or some other completely obnoxious background music! I want to shake some of the hobbyists the second I click on their videos! And there is so much dangerous misinformation flooding UA-cam that I’m amazed that they’re able to get away with it.
I’m just very grateful for you and the fabulous Camera Lady. Please keep the videos coming.
Thank you so very much for your kind words ❤️👍
I know that I will never be comfortable to remove debris with my bare hands. I use my long tongs, even if they're just Brachypelma and Grammostola. Not taking any chances of an accidental bite given how food motivated they are. A balfouri would possibly be one of the very OWs I'd consider acquiring.
Nice job and once again major props for not panicking or anything. Goes to show you've worked with these enough than you can almost predict how they'll react to your actions.
Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
They always react in different ways but you can steer them in the way want 👍
My Arizona blonde is the only one I’ve handled so far. She was really docile and seemed dopey the past 3 months since it’s been late autumn and winter but perked up and moving faster now
When you lifted the bottom. I was like "Shit the bed"!
Never knew that many spiders could live that close together.
not many tarantulas can actually live together this way. most of them will kill/eat the other spiders when they get hungry or feel threatened. M. Balfouri are one of the few tarantula species that can be kept in a communal enclosure and they end up looking really awesome because of their heavy webbing. that's why in the new enclosure he has so many sticks and stuff - all webbing points for them. But yeah most spiders would not deal with this well haha even mating time can end up deadly for a lot of tarantula species.
@@AshLilyNeko which is the other tarantulas that can live together?
There are 32 in all. You accidentally counted 27 twice because there were like 3 trying to escape at the same time. I have arachnophobia and I watch these and other videos to try to desensitize myself. I know it’s helped me too. I’m from North Carolina in the US and I saw a HUGE fishing spider on the side of our house one night (there’s a creek right beside us) and yes I screamed and ran BUT I went back outside and took pics of it to later identify it. And I was so proud of myself that I did so correctly. A year ago I would’ve never gotten that close to even take a picture. It’s eyes were shining white in the flash of the camera. Granted I have very small hands but this spider was as big as my hand is and I’m not exaggerating in the least. You know everything about spiders so I know you believe me on that one. I appreciate him going back to the creek to eat up some minnows cause I haven’t seen him since.
You both have such calm, capable energy, never lose patience or confidence, and always handle your spiders with aplomb. This is how it should be done!
Very impressive work - glad you are committing it to video on UA-cam, to help educate (and entertain) others - you are a great example to follow.
Thank you so much 😊
Completely agree!!!!!🙂🙂❤️
So true, they even put me at ease when watching their incredible videos 🥰🥰🥰
That was so cool and entertaining to watch 🤣🤣🤣. Made me laugh quite a bit. Thanks for this nice start of the week. 👌👌👍
❤️❤️❤️👍
It’s funny how she stood back with the camera when they started appearing on the table😅
I’m terrified of spiders. Have had arachnophobia since I was a child. Somehow addicted to these videos lately though. I know they’re misunderstood creatures.
dave being chill while 10 balfouris are on the run is something i yearn for
Great video as usual. It was fun to see some trying to escape while you caught up the others. I thought it would be absolute chaos, but with your calm, cool demeanor, as usual it all worked out with no drama. Thanks, it's amazing to see so many together like that, especially when you turned over the bark. :)
Thank you 🙏
This mans just shoving his hand in these spiders homes. This man fears nothing.
“Watch your fingers.” Hey says as he proceeds to haphazardly use his fingers to pull up the webbing.
Dave: "They can't go anywhere on the desk"
Balfouri: "And I took that personally"
😂😂😂😂😂 it does slow them down though 😭😂😂😂
That's love.
Him and his spiders.
Her and her spiderman.
When he didn't go after the spider that was free right away, heart dropped into my stomach.
They actually don't run very far away.
I'm terrified of spiders and torture myself watching Dave's videos lol- but this was like herding kittens 🤣
I'm in awe I mean I do know they can be kept communal but this is breathtaking. Thanks for sharing and greetings from Mexico
Thanks for watching!❤️❤️❤️
Hello from New Zealand, Dave. We unfortunately can't keep any of these beasties here (apart from our local tunnelwebs), but me and my sons watch every video you make. You've sparked a real interest in my boys that I'm sure will stick with them. Thanks for producing such fantastic, informative content!
Thanks that’s awesome my friend ❤️👍
Why can't you keep these spiders where you live?
You are so right! I remember being a kid and having random curiosities about something and being directed to "go to the library" at which I would roll my eyes because even if I tried, I was likely not going to find the right book, much less did I want to read an entire book to find an answer! Kids today "wonder" boom 💥 instant gratification! And with amazing creators like Dave, it's not an answer, but a conversation and exploration like none other! Kudos for Dave and double kudos for being a dad who will share in your boys' interests!
@David m3 maniac I expect it's because these non native species could pose a threat if they escape. In Florida, escaped/ let loose iguanas, pythons, and quakers, have pushed some native species out of thier homes and depleted thier foods. Now our power stations are full of communities of quakers, our back yards are full of iguanas, and our waterways are full of 10 foot pythons dangling from the trees. They have upset the ecosystem of the native species, never mind that I love the squawks and bright green of the quakers, and being an iguana lover, and keeper, loved feeding the wild iggies in the back yard. I could do without the pythons. 😆 🤣 😂
Why can’t you keep them in NZ?
this is great. well done. love how you told them off like theyre naughty puppies
Gee i wonder how many spiders he has freeroaming that room at any given time😅
None only our native ones 😂😂
13:20 you hear the spiders tap on the desk, that‘s so cute
I’m glad you notified that- that was really cool to re-watch!!! (That noise WAS it’s feet, right?….it kind of sounded like he/she was MAKING the noise….)
Good catch CT!
Ha. Dave: “watch your fingers”
Also Dave: *casually redirects spiders with his fingers*
I mean, I guess you were watching them. 😝
Always watching ❤️👍
Would love to see another after dark video of tarantulas in the nighttime for your collection.
Let’s see what we can do 👍
Oohhh yes, that was such a fun video when they're all out and about. I'd love to see a timelapse of this communal rebuilding and webbing their new home too
well... I like spiders at a distance... and you've provided me with a way to enjoy them... at a distance...thankyou for sharing..
I can hear them saying, “Hey! We worked hard making that!!”
The one spider under the desk was like : hehehe nobody will find me here
I usually don’t have anxiety or fear watching these spider videos but this one had me all over the place!!! Heart pumping! Jumping! Screaming! Closing my eyes! lol it was a nice surprise 😂😂 thanks for that, Dave!
😂😂❤️❤️👍
Usually the only spiders that freak me out are the small ones, because they're so fast and you can lose them. Big ones don't bother me. But then I saw a couple of these guys running at full speed and it scared the crap out of me lol they're so fast
ua-cam.com/video/bRV4d9LCawU/v-deo.html
My dog brushed my leg with his tail while I was watching this and I jumped like a bitch.🤣 Lmao. This was very interesting but terrifying for me lol.
Growing up my sister had a shoulder pet tarantula that loved being with her so I'm not afraid of spiders so this was very fun and entertaining to watch. I would love a timelapse of them building their web nest. It feels like it would be so calming to watch. lol
Thank you for sharing!
This was pure chaos lmao
Chaos is when they all leave together 😂😂😂
I think the sound of the scurrying is actually the scariest part of this for me!! 🥺They are beautiful when standing still/moving slowly. 😂
The anxiety this video gave me 😬. When the first spider ran under the desk, I jumped and forgot my cat was behind me, her fur tickled my neck and I flew across the living room screaming, phone thrown and everything 😂. I can't stop watching and learning though.
😂😂❤️❤️❤️
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍tryna get a visual on that!! Love a video 😊
One runs under the crate “Oh there goes one. Nevermind him there let’s keep going.” Meanwhile, I’m across the world watching this and I’m getting anxiety!
😂We know where they all are no need to worry they aint going anywhere 😂👍
By far one of the most unrelaxing and anxiety filled videos I’ve watched!😂
😂😂😂😂
Yeah, it got me good! Just casually picking the nest apart. Me bricking it.
I laughed when you were talking about the spiders rebuilding their webs and you said, this is their whole thing lol
man, I freak out when I see a tiny house spider leave my vision and this guy is just like "no worries, we'll get em later"
I dont have a problem to see a spider. I have a problem when i dont see them anymore.
It was like a clown car in there! I can't believe how many spiders were hiding so well in that little space. Very cool to see.
Hahahaha!!! Clown Car!!!🙂🙂🙂
This video really put a smile on my face, it was so funny to watch those guys trying to escape! Love how calm you both were. Probably wouldn't have been laughing so hard if it was me!
Spiders are fascinating little creatures. I love spiders as much as I love snakes...in someone else's house. Great to watch but glad you have them at your place...lol. My daughter did Black widow spiders in 3 cages and ended up with 8 egg sacks. You can image my reactions when they hatched. Called the zoo and they were thrilled to get them. They got all of them in 2 large paper bags sealed shut and the keepers were pretty happy.
this man's chill is beyond compare.
I am squealing as he’s getting his fingers in there ahh!!!
The 4 of them bolting in sequence out of the new enclosure was hilarious
That's amazing that over 30 of those size spiders were living in that small enclosure in such dense substrate. They definitely needed that new enclosure haha.
They was doing so well I was reluctant to move them earlier 👍
You should set up a time lapse right after you give them an upgrade. Show us how long it actually takes them to rebuild most of their stuff
Well haven't been so scared and fascinated in my whole life.
Dude I just came here to say the same thing!! This video is awesome and hella creepy at same time!!
This is absolutely precious. I’ve been giggling the whole time 🥰
Their little feet scurrying is the cutest thing
Very impressive sir, you treated this like a walk in the park!
Thank you 🙏
Everytime his wife sees a spider get away and she says “David?”.. you can literally hear her soul leaving her body each time 😂
😂😂😂😂
Dave this vid is pure madness. No way I'd be sticking my bare hand into a 30+ balfouri communal!
❤️❤️❤️
"Now these are old world spiders, so it pays to be a little bit careful with your fingers."
*literally shovels the webbed dirt with his fingers as he says this.*
Yeah you should see him with boy's they act like puppy dogs because he isn't jumpy.
I've seen other baddie keepers re-house these, and its usually a fiasco. They will also drop the cup because they are old worlds. I wouldn't want these but its fun to watch. he's definitely a spider wisperer, his wife too.
@@MontanaPDX yeah I love his content! ☺️
Once you understand them their not bad and I can also see much more than the camera shows 😂👍always safe my friend 👍❤
every time a spider moves quickly I freak the fuck out, I don't know how you can be so chill
Its all in the mind ❤️👍
@@daveslittlebeasties that being said I kept watching because it was fascinating!
Well there was 36 minutes of my palms sweating.
But you did enjoy it ❤️👍
Yup, enjoyed is it very much!!
Now this is something for my arachnophobia.
I love how he gives instructions as if I would ever stick my hand in there. lol
Spiders are cool in my book! They're so misunderstood.
Wtf!?😳 spider-clown-car-action right here
my man is just reaching his hand into a baboon communal... you, sir, are a legend
they’re so cute omg. i love how you can audibly hear their paws skittering on the glass and plastic like a dog running in place on linoleum 💜
This video is so interesting ! I’ve been into the hobby since I was 16 (I’m 23 now) and barely found out recently that there are communal tarantulas . I didn’t even know such a thing existed before . It blows my mind to see them all together like that without trying to eat each other. Subscribed 😄
Welcome to our channel my friend 👍❤
Oh my word, how in the actual is he sticking his hand in there. That box is my idea of Hell. I salute you sir, you are a braver man than I.
Oh, look, a box of nightmares…
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
😄
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. I love this channel but the spiders are far, far away.
Wow ! First thoughts were the enclosure was empty or they were 1 or 2 cm but I couldn't believe how many that size could stay hidden in such a small space . Truly amazing ! That lone cricket was one lucky dude he should be given his own set up to retire in (like those turkeys who escaped before xmas) !!!
😂😂😂👍
@@daveslittlebeasties Dave tell us that cricket earned his retirement
Your voice is the Bob Ross of spiders 😂
Why 🙏 thank you ❤️
I agree with this statement.
When those spider got loose! Holy cow! Three of those running around in my house means I’d have to move out, lol. Good job capturing all of them. Will you show us how they web it all up in a few weeks?
It’s coming 😂👍
Shit just one of them in my house and I’m out lol
Yea…1-2 is the right amount to have running around your house
Cant believe you are brave enough to pull that stuff out with your hands!!!
It never ceases to amaze me how kind and gentle you are around spiders even with a whole commune of them. These Balfouri are lucky to have you around. :)
Thank you so much ❤️👍
You are giving numerous amounts of Jump scares😂 I feel like I am white knuckling this vdeo😲
such a nice wholesome video
Dave, you are the calm in the chaos 🤣
❤️❤️❤️
i'd never have guessed so many spiders in that box
Cricket as you were clearing the webbing: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DONT WAKE THEM UP"
😂😂😂
If you dont move they cannot see you :O :D
😂 right
Imagine surviving a spider minefield only to be tossed to your fate by a stylus 😂
The way he just shrugs @ multiple spiders using that table as a Nascar track... Inspiring.
I cant believe Dave just casually putting his hands down and ripped into a full blown hairy leg spider community...my heart rate went through the roof and I cringed everytime he pulled up a bit of webbing..much respect to Dave...
So lovely to watch you be so gentle with the little beasties ❤
To watch you so this without hand protection, to see you quite relaxed when several leg it, is really impressive. I’m a 48 yr old man and would have screamed like a helium filled teenage girl.
😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️👍
@@daveslittlebeasties I adore spiders but my wife and I were gripping hands like we were on a roller coaster and shouting out as they took it in turns to charge at the top
Dave: Be careful with the fingers as this one is an old world species.
In literally 2 minutes: Behold, Dave TweezersHand!
I am as always fascinated by your calmness and confidence dealing with your animals. I don't know who else can make a rehousing (communal mind you) video relaxing.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Fun to see you coaxing them into the new enclosure, thanks Dave!
I feel like I'm watching a game of Jenga every time you pull webbing out
