Could've been pre-recorded. Either that or he wasn't even in Gotham at that time, just placing his puzzles there to test Batman's mettle. Knowing how far Nigma goes in these games to prove he's smarter, I could imagine him traveling to Gotham in his first outing JUST to prove he's better than the Bat (sorry for the long reply)
He's mockingly apologizing to Batman after making a static noise to try and startle him. You know this because he was talking about how it must take alot of concentration to use the remote batarang. He was trying to make you mess up and pretending to apologize afterwards.
It's night-time... on Christmas Eve... Riddler's not going to be working somewhere else. We see him in his headquarters, just sitting in some apartment while looking at the computer.
That's so funny and charming, but he was actually mocking Batman. He said it must take a lot of concentration to use the remote batarang, so he purposely makes a loud noise to distract Batman and make him fail.
Fun fact about my first playthrough of Arkham City, I never knew you could move the thing to track him so I just listened, and if you get every phone without getting full tracking it just gives it to you
Here’s something that could’ve been pretty cool for Heart of Ice. Imagine if you had to go and interrogate joker thugs until they gave you Nora’s location. Then by using his comes he calls Mr. freeze and tells the cold hearted scientist where to meet him. Then you break into the base where, which is filled to the brim with joker thugs. Your first task is to silently take down the guards from outside the building. Then when you enter the strong hold you learned that it was a trap. Sure Nora is there but there are several armed gunmen, A few titans, and no clear escape route for the dark Knight is the all have their weapons trained on them and there’s no gargoyles to quickly grapple away to. But just when all hope is lost, you see one of the weaker walls of the building begin to freeze as victors smashes it open. Now instead of fighting Mr. freeze as you did earlier you’re fighting alongside him, as the two of you take down this huge cluster of goons. We know this is possible since a similar thing happens with being in his campaign, so I think this could be rather neat to see. Perhaps Victor could even freeze a few of the enemies to allow you to do quick take downs on them? In the end not only does this make the quest that much more interesting but it saves you the trouble of having to run all the way back to the old GCPD just to run all the way back to the amusement mile.
Anarchy is my favourite mission. His dialogues are just so good. He was a red hood of Arkham origins. Bombs are tense and the final battle is pretty fun with Molotov’s and final punch after defeating every enemy except anarchy
I agree. It's the only side mission in that game (unless I'm forgetting something else), and I think it should have been on the list. Listening to his commentary throughout the mission is so entertaining also.
@@emilykeepsmiling9465 I did it a few days ago, I literally waited for him to spawn, then just spammed missiles at him and the 40 mm cannon Boom, done, 2 hours of militia work, gone

This ranking is so much fun! (Much like most of your videos). Always love to revisit these games both in videos and by playing the games themselves. So glad you help keep it alive! I definitely might have to rank these missions myself someday. I gotta say my favorites include Mr Freeze in Knight, the Crime scene investigations in Origins, The Perfect Crime and Two Faced bandit as my all time favorite
Thank you ClownPuncher, I’ve always looked for a ranking of all arkham side missions but you are the only UA-camr I’ve found who made one. I will always appreciate your content regardless of what you make and I’m hyped for the slay sum of arkham knight this year.
I'm sad that they didn't put much thought into Deathstroke it's just a simple tank fight and when he finally wants to fight, batman somehow takes him down from one leap from his car
You should rank every character in the Batman Arkham series That would be a sick video that you could use to give your full on opinion on all the characters but it would be a very long and difficult video to make so I can only hope I can see a video like this one day
Its funny you mention the deacon blackfire mission, Im replaying to 100% arkham knight for the last time and I noticed while standing around jack Ryder in gcpd if you listen to the radio, Ryder is interviewing a man whose a sewer worker hearing voices like chanting from the sewers that have been getting louder over about the course of a year. He figures its why the homeless of gotham have been going missing. At the time I was preoccupied listening to jacks mouth aftet barbra was kidnapped. but jack even ask at the end of it "what do you have going on now blackfire?"
I actually really like the riddler challenges bc I’m a bit of a completionist, and the puzzles are actually fun, and the dialogue/interaction with riddler are fantastic. (Great voice acting)
just firing it here for the escaped convicts in origins, I agree that there should have been fewer of them, but to make up for it, maybe they could have had their own unique stories with different situations? like as an example you could have one guy boasting about how he's free and he pretty much outs himself, while another keeps low key and you have to use detective mode to locate him something like that could have made things a bit more interesting imo, but the batman smells line always gets me lmao
The Deathstroke mission in AK would've been WAY better if destroying Deathstroke's tank leads to a deadly game of hide-and-seek across the rooftops where you have to find Deathstroke before he finds Batman.
I’m kinda surprised to see Cold Call Killer in number 1, definitely not one of my tops but it is a good mission. The Perfect Crime will forever be my favorite for how absolutely eerie it is from start to finish, and how you genuinely probably won’t know who the villain is even as a huge Batman fan.
I JUST recently completed the ‘A Friend in Need’ and while I was disappointed that Hush was reduced to this after such a cool reveal in City, and I did guess that Batman would unmask to reveal his identity, but I really liked that that actually happened and Hush was so shocked. Increasing the number of people who knows Batman’s identity adds a higher level of stakes since Batman tells Alfred he’ll have to lock up Hush himself. It was okay, but surprised to see it ranked where it was
Man-Bat had an Easter egg where if the date was Halloween he’d be seen scaring you again on Miagani Island and then you can go back to the station and see he escaped from the cell.
Great Video, as always! I really liked how high you put the Riddler missions. They’re phenomenal missions and deserve more credit for how well they portrayed the Riddler.
This is just my take on some of the missions: 1.) Deadshot in City was improvising and therefore couldn’t get into an environment where he’d be able to take advantage of his skills. 2.) Azrael in Knight is just straight up using Batman’s fighting style, hence why there’s no real difference.
I love the Azreal one cause it's literally Joshua Graham ( the amazing voice talent Keith Szarabajka) telling you you can't expect god to do all the work.
Awesome list dude, agree with for the most part, theres a few i'd shift around based on persoanl preference. for example I'd put The Line of Duty and Gotham on Fire a little higher cause I really like rescuing the Firefighters after Firefly attacked them and allowed them to be kidnapped, also showing us why Firefly was specifically attacking the fire stations, and the driving around waiting for Firefly to run outta fuel. And I like firefly's summer outfit, the pyromaniac wearing a tank top because of the summer is endlessly funny to me. Also loved the sponsor part man, it's hella funny
Azrael's Arkham Knight mission will forever be somewhere in my heart purely for the scene where you break the sword which leads to Azrael getting to dap up Batman before he leaves
Thing that annoyed me about perfect crime was that 300 people that were missing had been bitten by a shark and had a third nipple and then had to scan their fake ear to narrow it down to 1 person.
I mean, with 8 billion people in the world (a lot less because of race/gender, but not the point), it’s not impossible that 300 people have a third nipple and got bit by a shark, but the chances fall exponentially with each new deformation
To tell you how bad Bird was I did the mission a few months back, and I didn’t even realize I took down Bird almost right away until after the fight was over. I thought he was sitting back like Anarchy was, but then the cutscene started.
Cold call killer always terrified me when i first played arkham city, being that I was not that old. I ran away every time i heard the phone ring it was so creepy.
Something great about the Origins Hatter Mission is the ending with the hostage. Batman: "It's going to be okay." Hostage: "No... no it isn’t." Chilling.
I really enjoyed this video. And I like the varying opinions. For me Cold Call Killer is the reason I don’t get over 90% in Arkham City because I don’t even start the mission because of my disdain for the mission. 😂
I got to be honest I think the man bat mission is kind of overrated. Yes the jump scare is great and sometimes if I’m not paying attention while replaying the game it can still make me jump a bit. However at least to me there’s really no challenge in catching the flying rat. Maybe if your last encounter with him had some sort of mid air bottle of some kind it would be cooler. I will ever I do give it bonus points for the secret Easter egg in which if you play Arkham Knight on Halloween after you’ve finish his side quest you can get jumpscared once again and when you go back to GCPD he’s escaped. I don’t know if it’s Canon Batman that escaped but I like to think it is just so I can imagine Red Hood or Robin having to deal with that creature sometime in the future
honestly i loved armored and dangerous. I found ramming them into eachother and blowing them uo and running straight through them like Christian Bale Batman so fun. It never got old for me.
It makes me wish the Batmobile skins had combat mode to allow them to be used through the whole game. If nothing else the 2016 one should, it was also a Bat Tank.
Just to point out that the AR Glide challenges in Origins are required for the Dark Knight challenges, so if you want the Dark Knight costume (which is the best costume in the series, fight me), you need to do them.
I would say the reason you don't like line of duty as much is why i like it. I like in arkham we see so many aspects of whats left of gotham have been destroyed or taken and batman alone is trying to undo all of that by himself. I think its really engaging, hearing chatter about the firefighter then pinpointing that. I really did enjoy it, along with the predator sections, and generally when you are starting the game you find a few of the easier fights here and there which helps you get used to the combat. well, thats what happened to me anyway.
Honestly, I agree with Deathstroke's tank battle being ranked so low. It feels like a lazy repeat of the Cloudburst tank battle. you take out a few Cobra tanks, then shoot the main tank while dodging its shots
I noticed that in Line of Duty if you have Season of Infamy installed any rescued firefighters will disappear after the GCPD Assault. The only way to keep the firefighters with season of Infamy installed is rescue ALL OF THEM after the assault on GCPD.
Although I don’t agree with every placement on this list, I absolutely agree with the #1, listening to Zsasz never gets old on replay and is responsible for turning him from a villain I knew absolutely nothing about to honestly up there for my favourite Batman villain
in my opinnion, the Victor Zsasz mission is placed Way lower on my own scale. I also would have put the Riddler trophies missions higher as well, but that's just me. I absolutely LOVED the Perfect Crime Mission which is why I would place it at number 1
I've come a long way in Arkham. From getting lost in the Headquarters of GCPD in Knight, to being able to beat the rest of the game. and in City, I was getting trophies by fighting.
Fun Fact I found while playing Fragile Alliance in Arkham City: If the Titan is destroyed before Wonder Tower is destroyed, Tyger Guards ambush Bane and Batman. If after, a bunch of Joker thug prisoners ambush you and Bane instead. Fun little thing I realized while playing recently.
One good thing people forget about the Riddler missions is that riddles solved and trophies collected transfer to New Game+, so if you don’t want to find them all the first time, you can just do NG+ and collect the rest as you play the story again, since you’ll have all the gadgets from the get go
I don't know who the VA is for Zsasz but fucking hell he has a hell of a lot to do with why the Cold Call Killer mission is so good. He's creepy. He's deranged. But gives the impression he's in full control of his actions and is fully aware of what he's doing
I don’t know if you’ve done it but could you rank every first and final mission in the Arkham games? Like for example in Asylum, the Asylum escapades in Asylum and Guard Titans and Titan Joker, Bruce being escorted through AC and Joker The Immortal, Blackgate and Blackgate, Officer Owens and saving the officer and the final confrontation with Scarecrow
Heir to the cowl was one of the more interesting ones for me. Azrael’s fighting style is supposed to mirror Batman, As he had apparently been studying him since Arkham city.

I would've loved that!
Anarchy is my favourite mission. His dialogues are just so good. He was a red hood of Arkham origins. Bombs are tense and the final battle is pretty fun with Molotov’s and final punch after defeating every enemy except anarchy
Origins did Red Hood better than Knight lmao.
RIP for Kevin Conroy. Truly a legendary man and the true batman.
When riddler had a better boss fight than deathstroke in Arkham knight…
I know it's not a proper side mission, but I was a little upset to not see Asylum's Riddler on this list.
I agree. It's the only side mission in that game (unless I'm forgetting something else), and I think it should have been on the list. Listening to his commentary throughout the mission is so entertaining also.
I mean the spirit of arkham is kinda a side mission because the last scan is not part of riddler
@@laszlopencz1187 For sure I count it as it’s own because not even Riddler could solve it. It’s in my top 3
He's technically a side mission since it's canon that Batman sent the GCPD to arrest Riddler while he was stuck on Arkham Island.
You don’t even have to destroy the Cobra tanks with Deathstroke, just wait for him to spawn, boom boom, done
😳😳😳😳😳 seriously?!?!?! I never knew this!! I honestly don't know if I'm annoyed or relieved cz I've always hated that battle 😂
@@emilykeepsmiling9465 I did it a few days ago, I literally waited for him to spawn, then just spammed missiles at him and the 40 mm cannon
Boom, done, 2 hours of militia work, gone
@@DayumTypeshi 😂😂😂 thank you!! I am definitely going to do this on my next play through 😁

While having the most riddler trophies, Arkham City’s was by far the most enjoyable Riddler experience
Nah. Knights was way more fun and the stuff going on with catwoman was the icing on the cake.
@@franklinclinton6313 I gotta disagree, knights riddler trophies were depressing
@@A.H.goose1not really, you could do them fast, and there weren't actually that much, since there were so many breakable objects.
THERES MORE RIDDLES TO SOLVE IN PANESSA STUDIOS BATMAN
@@A.H.goose1As in bad or the actually depressing easter eggs of his deteriorating mental state that are shown in some trophy locations?
Regarding "Remote Hideaway", the only good thing about it is trying to figure out who fixed the intricate glass floor that Penguin blew up before the Grundy fight.
That jingle bells exchange with Batman in Origins had me CACKLING. Probably one of the funniest things in the entire series
You should rank every character in the Batman Arkham series
That would be a sick video that you could use to give your full on opinion on all the characters but it would be a very long and difficult video to make so I can only hope I can see a video like this one day
Its funny you mention the deacon blackfire mission, Im replaying to 100% arkham knight for the last time and I noticed while standing around jack Ryder in gcpd if you listen to the radio, Ryder is interviewing a man whose a sewer worker hearing voices like chanting from the sewers that have been getting louder over about the course of a year.
(Great voice acting)
just firing it here for the escaped convicts in origins,
I agree that there should have been fewer of them, but to make up for it, maybe they could have had their own unique stories with different situations?
like as an example you could have one guy boasting about how he's free and he pretty much outs himself, while another keeps low key and you have to use detective mode to locate him
something like that could have made things a bit more interesting imo, but the batman smells line always gets me lmao
The Deathstroke mission in AK would've been WAY better if destroying Deathstroke's tank leads to a deadly game of hide-and-seek across the rooftops where you have to find Deathstroke before he finds Batman.
Holy CRAP Clownpuncher! every side mission ranked, amazing job. You’re one of my favourite creators, so underrated.
It was okay, but surprised to see it ranked where it was
probably the most underrated channel on youtube, please keep it up i always look forward to your videos man!
Man-Bat had an Easter egg where if the date was Halloween he’d be seen scaring you again on Miagani Island and then you can go back to the station and see he escaped from the cell.
You don't need to tell him
I was having the worst day at work, immediately cheered up after getting home and seeing you upload this king of a video :)
Great Video, as always! I really liked how high you put the Riddler missions. They’re phenomenal missions and deserve more credit for how well they portrayed the Riddler.
Your channel single-handedly made me get all the Arkham games. 😊
This is just my take on some of the missions:
1.) Deadshot in City was improvising and therefore couldn’t get into an environment where he’d be able to take advantage of his skills.
2.) Azrael in Knight is just straight up using Batman’s fighting style, hence why there’s no real difference.
1) yeah but the boss still could have been way better with that in mind
2) yeah, though more variety woulda been nice
Cold Call Killer actually had me nervous all the time and creeped out man. Every time I would hear that phone rang, I’d get chills and not pick it up
I love the Azreal one cause it's literally Joshua Graham ( the amazing voice talent Keith Szarabajka) telling you you can't expect god to do all the work.
Arkham Knight set in Halloween so it's fall.
Yeah some parts of it like that are kinda stupid lol but it's still one of my favourites
I played the game when I was little. I would run from the phones, I thought they were haunted.
When he said it’s punchin time I really felt that
YES! THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THE AR CHALLENGES AT THE BOTTOM! I HATE THEM SO MUCH!
A part of what made me love Cold Call Killer was the inmates talking and being scared of answering the phones
“I swear it’s not my City bias.”
(Proceeds to rank #1 based of his City bias)
Agreed. Pyg > Zsasz. Anarky > Zsasz.
“Pyg: Don’t… Don’t give Pyg second, mother won’t be pleased…”
Something great about the Origins Hatter Mission is the ending with the hostage.
Batman: "It's going to be okay."
Hostage: "No... no it isn’t."
Chilling.
Fun fact in the bane side mission if you complete it before hugos death you get tyger henchmen but after you get jokers crew
I am always impressed on how you consistently make such well-made and entertaining videos! Keep up the amazing work.
I love your content, clownpuncher, I’m always excited when I see you’ve uploaded a video
I really enjoyed this video. And I like the varying opinions. For me Cold Call Killer is the reason I don’t get over 90% in Arkham City because I don’t even start the mission because of my disdain for the mission. 😂
9:48 i might not know who rat king is yet in arkham shadows, but deacon's outlast vibes fit the bill perfectly
aint no way I just watched 46 minutes of this without realizing how long it was
I got to be honest I think the man bat mission is kind of overrated.
I also will say that I’ve tried the no glide challenge with it and I think that makes the level a little more interesting.
Finally no riddler slander. I'm glad someone else enjoys his bits because most of what I hear about him is just fans complaining
honestly i loved armored and dangerous.
17:41
I always found it funny how Enigma became self-aware and apologized when he literally broke down the 4th wall XD
These videos never fail to respark my love for these games
I’m sick and I’m so glad you uploaded today
Fun fact actually if you throw a baterang at Azrael you get and achievement and he catches it.
I just got this achievement a few days ago after reading a similar comment. It says something like "Find someone to play catch with" and I love that 😂
Yep! I was going for the Platinum Trophy and this was a fun one! I did it when he was on top of the ferris wheel.
The same also happens to Pyg's dollotrons
Season of infamy gives some new missions but ruins some aspects like you can't even do some speedrun glitches with it installed
@@laszlopencz1187 That's bullshit
@@crazyperson3812 What happens with them? Are they locked up in GCPD?
@@TheFirstCurse1 They get locked up next to the cop working for riddler.
"Take your best shot, Tommy." has got to be one of the hardest lines in the arkham franchise
Just replayed Arkham knight a few weeks ago thank u for satiating my needs of Arkham related content
Oh god, he’s been sponsored by raid! Run for your lives!
Although I don’t agree with every placement on this list, I absolutely agree with the #1, listening to Zsasz never gets old on replay and is responsible for turning him from a villain I knew absolutely nothing about to honestly up there for my favourite Batman villain
I was just searching for this the other day. Thx
Raid shadow legends ad skip 5:25
in my opinnion, the Victor Zsasz mission is placed Way lower on my own scale. I also would have put the Riddler trophies missions higher as well, but that's just me. I absolutely LOVED the Perfect Crime Mission which is why I would place it at number 1
You deserve more sub's love your content
City's riddler mission is my favorite riddler in terms of story and trophies. I loved rescuing hostages
25:53 screw you for not putting a warning before that
I loved the azrael mission in arkham city and when i got that call from Alfred about the burning bat signal it made me so happy
Props to the thug with the balls to sing that version of Jingle Bells to Batman's face.
I've come a long way in Arkham. From getting lost in the Headquarters of GCPD in Knight, to being able to beat the rest of the game. and in City, I was getting trophies by fighting.
I honestly wonder how he feels knowing that he makes many people smile
And if he doesn’t know that he does, he does now
I love the Riddler side missions! Riddler is my favorite villain in these games!
i was hyped for this video
One of your first sponsors and it raid, I mean I guess I can’t complain too much since more money equal more stonks so good for you
With the prisoners, I''m pretty sure Gordon sought Batman's help because he didn't have the manpower due to the Joker's actions.
Another ClownPuncher classic. I binge these videos all the time when I’m getting ready for work, gym, etc x
19:53 I had an easy time finding his location. Never felt like a goose chase.
Love the Bill Cipher shirt at the talking about Raid part.
Zsasz is my all time favourite Batman rogue, nice to see the ranking you gave him.
I believe this is only if done during protocol 10
One good thing people forget about the Riddler missions is that riddles solved and trophies collected transfer to New Game+, so if you don’t want to find them all the first time, you can just do NG+ and collect the rest as you play the story again, since you’ll have all the gadgets from the get go
I don't know who the VA is for Zsasz but fucking hell he has a hell of a lot to do with why the Cold Call Killer mission is so good. He's creepy. He's deranged. But gives the impression he's in full control of his actions and is fully aware of what he's doing
The only man ive ever found thats a big of fan of arkham as me
I don’t know if you’ve done it but could you rank every first and final mission in the Arkham games? Like for example in Asylum, the Asylum escapades in Asylum and Guard Titans and Titan Joker, Bruce being escorted through AC and Joker The Immortal, Blackgate and Blackgate, Officer Owens and saving the officer and the final confrontation with Scarecrow
Heir to the cowl was one of the more interesting ones for me. Azrael’s fighting style is supposed to mirror Batman, As he had apparently been studying him since Arkham city.
