Another important note is that you don't have to play all the way through Chapter 9 to get your progress logged, for example when you see Tifa for the first time in Chapter 9 in the carriage, the game will actually log her dress in the pause menu under "System" and "Play Log" at that moment, and it will be the same when you see Aerith and Clouds dresses for the first time later in the chapter. After those are logged, you're welcome to jump back to Chapter 3 and work on the remaining dresses without having to finish Chapter 9.
For the dress number 2 you actually need these choices as well as your video Sam Dialogue (Chocobo Cowboy): When describing Tifa to him pick “She’s great at handling the books”. In Wall Market, don’t talk to the guy in front of the hotel and don’t talk to the hotel receptionist. In Wall Market, Ignore the Johnny Discovery Event (where he runs away) and head straight for the main objective. When Sam does the coin flip, pick “Heads”. Pick the most expensive massage “Luxury Course - 3000 Gil” When Aerith asks how you like her outfit “Looks comfortable”. Complete ‘The Underground Colosseum’ main objective & “Parting Ways” main objective.

This guide was helpful, but the hardest part about this, in order not to waste too much time on it, was remembering what I chose on the first playthrough. I imagine most people don't look up a guide for stuff like that on a first playthrough, and I don't check the trophy list on a first playthrough either. I did find a screenshot in the capture gallery where I saw Cloud and Aerith wearing their respective red and blue corset dresses, but I could already infer that since I remembered I had done all the side quests in chapter 8 and also done all of Sam's quests in 9. The real problem was Tifa. There was no screenshot of her, but I did recall having done all of the sidequests in chapter 3 and being asked about what she should wear. But did I choose mature or exotic? I couldn't for the life of me remember that detail for certain, but had a small hunch it was the kimono, so for my second playthrough for this trophy (not counting the first original playthrough) I gambled on the blue dress and got lucky. Even with just the 2 extra playthroughs and doing everything as efficiently as possible this was a slog.
Best guide so far. I've done 1 play through before I found this but can still mix & match. My first play through was the same but I chose exotic not sporty.

However, for those who weren't as search giddy as me the first play around of the game...please also look up the coin toss and talking to johnny when he runs to the busy bee inn. Also maybe talking to two people at the beginning of going into sector 6. It might be the hotel manager sitting out front and someone else. Those also have a very big roll to play when you get the sidequests from Sam and Madam M. They can affect the outcome of who you get side quests from. Good guide! It helped tremendously.
Thank you for this! Thankfully I did all mentioned side quests in my very first playthrough, alongside Sam’s quests in Chapter 9. So I know which dress I have already. Though I’m not to sure about Tifa’s dresses 😭😫, can’t remember what I chose for her.
Didnt know about all this criteria beforehand. Just looked up how to get the trophy when I got into wall market cause I knew the trophy would be coming up. Thankfully I did the exact right criteria for the first playthrough so that worked out lol. Thanks for the guide!
so ive got all the dresses and now and just want to say some of this information isnt accurate. choco sam or madam ms sidequests are not contingent on how you describe tifa. that may be part of it, not sure. but i believe its more reliant on the coin toss and what massage package you purchase
I think I'll give up on the platinum just for this trophy. I am not having difficulty on hard mode, I had quite some fun with grinding and unlocking abilities, but this trophy is just too much for me. It's almost as bad as retrieving all collectibles in Anthem (the only trophy I miss for the platinum of that game as well). But thanks for this video, it is indeed very helpful! I don't think the Chapter 3 quests effect what dress Tifa gets. I completed all chapter 3 quests and got het blue dress for choosing the 1st of the 3 possible answers. When I did 0 quests in chapter 3, I did not get the Tifa discovery quest and again got the Blue Dress. Tho I may have skipped it by returning to 7th Heaven too early. So it seem like it's just your choice of answer that chooses Tifa's dress, and not how may quests you do. The rest is spot on and helped me to get the Trophy. Many Thanks
For the selections of the first playthrough, I did everything that was shown when I selected “she's a great fighter” sam didn't give me any quests but madam M did. Got a completely different outfit.
Anyone who was embarrassed to get Cloud or Aerith’s low-quality dresses like me, all I have to say is not to worry much. Their only true purpose in general was to help us PlayStation gamers (PS4 or PS5 port) achieve Final Fantasy VII Remake’s platinum trophy.
This is the last trophy I need to get the Platinum, and it fucking sucks. I’m so sick of Chapter 9 and those damn arms, that I don’t know what to do. A great game to play through, but a HORRIBLE one to trophy hunt for.
Please tell me why, when I completed all 6 additional quests, the dialogue with typhus did not appear where you need to choose how she will dress? After the showdown with the bandits, there is a dialogue with Jesse and the chapter ends. What have I done wrong?
Your guide was very helpful! But a weird thing happened with me: I got all 3 dresses for Tifa but for some reason the game's play log only counted 2 of them, now I'm gonna redo chapter 3. Is the trophy glitched? Did this happen to someone else?
Can you not just make a separate save right before speaking to Sam and Tifa during the 1st playthrough and then change the dialogue options you choose before finishing chapters instead of starting from the beginning of the chapters again?
Stuck on 2/3 dresses for Tifa even though I played until the end of chapter 9 three times and saw all of the dresses, never loaded a save, always chapter select. Replayed chapter 3 twice with mature and exotic dresses and went until the carriage scene in chapter 9, still 2/3. I’m gonna do another run with the sporty dress, if it doesn’t update, I’m done with this trophy (and this game for that matter). What a pain in the ass.
Quick question, the dresses I have left are the ones that involve not doing any siquests, so after I complete chapter 3 ( tifa dress ) can I just jump right away to chapter 9 where I don't do any side quests or do I have to play thru 8 ( without doing any side quests )?
for efficiency you better do the quest on chapter 8 on the 2nd run of this video first since theres a sidequest here that requires a materia that is max out so its better for this run for 2nd run since its most likely you have master a materia here.
Not sure of this because i haven't tested it, but I don't think the describing Tifa to Sam matters, what does affect it is saying no to his coin toss and getting the expensive massage from madam m . This could also just be an alternate way of getting madam m quests.
As much as this "Dressed to the Nines" trophy's one that I wish never existed, part of me wishes that it was *Kyrie* who wore Cloud's dresses, instead of Cloud himself.

I've done 1 playthrough with 3 dresses. If I do chapter select 3, pick a dress - chapter select 8, do sidequests for certain dress - chapter select 9, do certain sidequests for certain dress. Does that work? Or do I need to go through the entire story from 3 to 9?
This isn’t actually as efficient as possible. As soon as the dress appears on screen it’s counted in your play log (System > Play Log). For example, you gain a Tifa dress as soon as you see her on the Chocobo cart heading toward Wall Market, and you get an Aerith dress as soon as you see her walk towards Cloud on Don Corneo’s bridge. So, if you are cleaning up the dresses that you still need, you can save and chapter select as soon as you see these play log numbers increase.
can i tell tifa which dress to pick then chapter select to the aerith's dress and after i meet up with her can i chapter select into wall market or do i HAVE to finish each chapter?

I need one more of Tifa’s dresses but I have a couple questions. If you skip the scene when Corneo picks a bride, do you miss out on the dress? Also. Can you jump from chapter 4 straight to 9 since I only need to work on Tifa’s dress? It’s been a nightmare for me
All I know mate, is that when ever I tried to skip something or cut a corner to get it done quicker, it never worked. Honestly, this and the two different side quests you can get in chapter 9 kinda ruined the game for me. I started realising how badly SE had short changed us with so-called ‘endgame content’ I was really disappointed. And I’m a huge FF7 fanboy ☹️
When I do playthrough 1, my side quests in Chapter 9 are not the same as you have shown in this video. Burning Thighs & The Price of Thievery along with a “???”. Don’t know what I am doing wrong if I am following this guide to the T! Stupid trophy!

Stage of how for the 2nd playthrough I did exactly what you did but yet for cloud I got the black dress with ribbons. Maybe the coin toss and hand massages have something to do with the choices as well for cloud and the side quests
Do I need to start a new game for this? Because I used my new game plus file which was on chap.18, and I went back to chap.3 to start the 2nd playthrough, and nothing changed, Aerith got the full red dress instead of oink, and so on. So do I need to actually start a new game?
I don’t mind redoing the chapters too much but what I hate is the fact that to get them you have to NOT play the game which makes no sense I want to get the other dresses on my hard playthrough but I also want to manuscripts but that means not beating missions, SO DUMB.
Pachuck01 Diaz I did it all on Easy mode to make it as fast as possible. Obviously if you are trying to get manuscripts and get trophies for hard mode then you can mix it up. But hard mode is NOT necessary to get all dressed :)
You should do only a single side quest for 8 and 9 during your first normal/easy mode playthrough. Then when you beat the game and go to do hard mode do all the chapter 8 quests and all of either Sam/madaam side quests. This is because you HAVE to do them all again on hard mode anyways so might as well get the simple dresses on your first easy playthrough because there is no real benefit to doing them all on easy (no manuscripts). Then after the hard mode run is complete, go back to 8 on easy and do 3 side quests, and go to 9 on hard and do the opposite person's quests to get that manuscript (and dress of course) too. THAT is what I wish I would have done.... Instead, i didn't know this and on my normal mode first run I did EVERYTHING.... This resulted in me being forced to get the same cloud and Aerith dresses twice. Huge waste of time. Hope someone sees this comment during their first run through lol
I had the same issue I restarted did it again and it worked but it might be a fluke I'd recommend that you look for another guide try and see what they do different
Does this work on normal mode chapter select or do i need to go with Hard mode? Cuz when i did it on normal mode i select Exotic but when i get to the end of chapter 8. I still got the Mature dress for Tifa when i see her on the Chocobo cart. Need help, did i miss something. Cuz my first playthrough normal mode, i got Mature dress for Tifa, Red dress for Aerith and Blue/Black dress for cloud. Need help on this.
Mugen Glider if you have prexisting choices made it will effect the outcome. Just follow the vid and do all three chapters for each outcome as intended. It is such a pain but is the way to guarantee the right result. What difficulty you have it on will not make any difference :)
I have beat the game twice, one normal and once hard. When i try to chapter select 3, do the sidequests for the sporty outfit, then chapter select to 8, do 3 sidequests for the mid-tier aerith dress, the carriage cutscene for Tifa has her in the blue dress. Did the skip not work? I also lost my manuscripts from the chapter 18 fights even though i got the trophy for hard mode. Can anybody please help as I'm starting to waste alot of my time. What am i doing wrong (most likely in chapter select???) Thats preventing my dress selection to not save. (bonus if you can explain why my manuscripts in chapter 18 didnt carry over once i was forced back to the menu after credits.)
Breadley Wheatler are you loading different save files? I found that trying to do things faster by hopping between save files just screwed everything up. Like I had the trophy for music discs and the angel of slums. But on the save file I was finishing up on I didn’t have the music disc from Honeybee inn and neither did I have the elemental materia from the angel of the slums. That’s all o can think of, save files.

Yes it is the multi save files that screw up everything. When I was trying to do the 9 dresses trophy and I missing Tifa sporty and exotic dress as I chose mature for my first playthrough when I did sporty on my chapter select doing all the side quests then save into another file before tifa ask about the 3 dresses option because I thought that by saving it I don't need to do all the side quests again to get Tifa to ask question, then on chapter 9 when I got Cloud black/grey dress never complete the whole chapter thinking that once I can see he wearing the dress then it should be counted so I exit the game and load back to the previous Tifa save file. Boy I fuck it up big time, I went through again when choosing exotic then went on chapter 8 for Aerith last dress and then finally Cloud white/purple dress once I got them the trophy doesn't appear. Then I realized that you have to do the side quests all over again for second time and have to complete the whole chapter 9 for all dresses to be register in the system. I spend 5 hours on this tedious trophy and half of the time it's for nothing jeez... so now I just save 2 files one for normal and one for hard since they have set different hour of play meaning that it will not crash into each other NG+. I'm currently having really hard time on the pull up trophy, my rhythm suck and not quick enough for pro challenge. I hope FF7 can share play so that I can get someone to help me it is so bad game design on that minigame, squat is way more fun
Looks like there’s a mistake in the choosing of Tifa’s dresses. In order to get the Discovery Event to choose her dress, you must complete all side quests in chapter 3 each play through. For example in the play through 3, chapter 3 only completing rat problem caused the game to skip the Alone at Last section with Tifa where you chose her dress.
Autumn Nights No the way this works is that, not activating the Alone at Last quest is actually a choice of dress, it has the same effect as one of the responses of the that discovery Q. So I’ve done it this way to help speed up getting all outcomes as fast as possible :)
if I only do the chapter 3 for tifa because i'e completed all the dresses for aerith ; can i skip chapter 8 and directly go to chapter 9 ? Will a stil be able to get Tifa with the new dress ? Thanks & kudos for the vid
I need help. Actually this is my 2nd playthrough in ps5(beat the game in ps4). First play through was kimono, second was chunli. But when I choose the the OG dress and saw tifa in the carriage. Skipped the scene soon as I see her back(assuming the OG dress) checked my log and its still 2/3. Do I need to finish the cutscene? Or I did something wrong?? Same for aerith. First play was the OG dress. Unlocked the plain dress, then unlocked the dress with red ribon. I finished the chapter 9 all the way through. Still record as 2/3.
I keep doing it and I've gotten the dresses. Except for 2 dresses and it says it's saved. And I go back to look when I'm starting to get the other dress and it's gone. How do you get it to make sure of stays there?
On playthrough 2 chapter 8 we just complete 3-5 side quest only. Random or what? Cause 5.50 i see u just pick complete 1-3 side only. The second question i have been completed all quest on chapter 3, 8, 9 for default so it's means only just playthrough 2 & 3 left, is that alright?

so ive got all the dresses and now and just want to say some of this information isnt accurate. choco sam or madam ms sidequests are not contingent on how you describe tifa. that may be part of it, not sure. but i believe its more reliant on the coin toss and what massage package you purchase

I think I'll give up on the platinum just for this trophy. I am not having difficulty on hard mode, I had quite some fun with grinding and unlocking abilities, but this trophy is just too much for me. It's almost as bad as retrieving all collectibles in Anthem (the only trophy I miss for the platinum of that game as well). But thanks for this video, it is indeed very helpful! I don't think the Chapter 3 quests effect what dress Tifa gets. I completed all chapter 3 quests and got het blue dress for choosing the 1st of the 3 possible answers.
When I did 0 quests in chapter 3, I did not get the Tifa discovery quest and again got the Blue Dress. Tho I may have skipped it by returning to 7th Heaven too early.
So it seem like it's just your choice of answer that chooses Tifa's dress, and not how may quests you do.
The rest is spot on and helped me to get the Trophy. Many Thanks
You'll get the blue dress for Tifa if you don't complete all sidequests in chapter 3 OR if you choose "something mature" in Alone at Last.
Do you have to do all chapters in between 3-8 or can you skip 4,5, 6,7 and just jump between 3 and 8 via chapter select?
For the selections of the first playthrough, I did everything that was shown when I selected “she's a great fighter” sam didn't give me any quests but madam M did. Got a completely different outfit.

This is the last trophy I need to get the Platinum, and it fucking sucks. I’m so sick of Chapter 9 and those damn arms, that I don’t know what to do. A great game to play through, but a HORRIBLE one to trophy hunt for.
Yeah it’s a bit cheeky how they pass off re-running the same chapters - over and over again for so many of the trophies - as ‘post-game content’
Please tell me why, when I completed all 6 additional quests, the dialogue with typhus did not appear where you need to choose how she will dress? After the showdown with the bandits, there is a dialogue with Jesse and the chapter ends. What have I done wrong?

Can you not just make a separate save right before speaking to Sam and Tifa during the 1st playthrough and then change the dialogue options you choose before finishing chapters instead of starting from the beginning of the chapters again?

Stuck on 2/3 dresses for Tifa even though I played until the end of chapter 9 three times and saw all of the dresses, never loaded a save, always chapter select. Replayed chapter 3 twice with mature and exotic dresses and went until the carriage scene in chapter 9, still 2/3.
I’m gonna do another run with the sporty dress, if it doesn’t update, I’m done with this trophy (and this game for that matter). What a pain in the ass.
Quick question, the dresses I have left are the ones that involve not doing any siquests, so after I complete chapter 3 ( tifa dress ) can I just jump right away to chapter 9 where I don't do any side quests or do I have to play thru 8 ( without doing any side quests )?
for efficiency you better do the quest on chapter 8 on the 2nd run of this video first since theres a sidequest here that requires a materia that is max out so its better for this run for 2nd run since its most likely you have master a materia here.
Not sure of this because i haven't tested it, but I don't think the describing Tifa to Sam matters, what does affect it is saying no to his coin toss and getting the expensive massage from madam m . This could also just be an alternate way of getting madam m quests.

Not sure if completely accurate cus i chose great fighter and got madam M's quests instead of Sam's but over good tutorial for this annoying achievement
I've done 1 playthrough with 3 dresses.
If I do chapter select 3, pick a dress - chapter select 8, do sidequests for certain dress - chapter select 9, do certain sidequests for certain dress.
Does that work? Or do I need to go through the entire story from 3 to 9?
You can skip around just be sure to finish chapter 3 before you skip forward

I picked the third option when talking to the guy and he ended up being my quest giver
This isn’t actually as efficient as possible. As soon as the dress appears on screen it’s counted in your play log (System > Play Log). For example, you gain a Tifa dress as soon as you see her on the Chocobo cart heading toward Wall Market, and you get an Aerith dress as soon as you see her walk towards Cloud on Don Corneo’s bridge. So, if you are cleaning up the dresses that you still need, you can save and chapter select as soon as you see these play log numbers increase.

I need one more of Tifa’s dresses but I have a couple questions. If you skip the scene when Corneo picks a bride, do you miss out on the dress? Also. Can you jump from chapter 4 straight to 9 since I only need to work on Tifa’s dress? It’s been a nightmare for me
All I know mate, is that when ever I tried to skip something or cut a corner to get it done quicker, it never worked. Honestly, this and the two different side quests you can get in chapter 9 kinda ruined the game for me. I started realising how badly SE had short changed us with so-called ‘endgame content’ I was really disappointed. And I’m a huge FF7 fanboy ☹️

When I do playthrough 1, my side quests in Chapter 9 are not the same as you have shown in this video. Burning Thighs & The Price of Thievery along with a “???”.

Ugh...I did not realize you had to finish chapter 3 and just went to chapter select to chapter 8. I just got the other set of dresses for the other two and beat Chapter 9....Do I have to do all the chapters again or just chapter 3 to get it to count?

Stage of how for the 2nd playthrough I did exactly what you did but yet for cloud I got the black dress with ribbons.
Maybe the coin toss and hand massages have something to do with the choices as well for cloud and the side quests

You are forgot to put some important options here like what I must answer for Sam or how much need to pay for Madam M.
I don’t mind redoing the chapters too much but what I hate is the fact that to get them you have to NOT play the game which makes no sense I want to get the other dresses on my hard playthrough but I also want to manuscripts but that means not beating missions, SO DUMB.
Do I have to replay the quests in hard?? Or the difficulty doesn’t matter.
Pachuck01 Diaz I did it all on Easy mode to make it as fast as possible. Obviously if you are trying to get manuscripts and get trophies for hard mode then you can mix it up. But hard mode is NOT necessary to get all dressed :)

You should do only a single side quest for 8 and 9 during your first normal/easy mode playthrough. Then when you beat the game and go to do hard mode do all the chapter 8 quests and all of either Sam/madaam side quests. This is because you HAVE to do them all again on hard mode anyways so might as well get the simple dresses on your first easy playthrough because there is no real benefit to doing them all on easy (no manuscripts). Then after the hard mode run is complete, go back to 8 on easy and do 3 side quests, and go to 9 on hard and do the opposite person's quests to get that manuscript (and dress of course) too.
THAT is what I wish I would have done.... Instead, i didn't know this and on my normal mode first run I did EVERYTHING.... This resulted in me being forced to get the same cloud and Aerith dresses twice. Huge waste of time.

On second playthrough I got the black and blue dress for Cloud instead, why's that? I followed every step
I had the same issue I restarted did it again and it worked but it might be a fluke I'd recommend that you look for another guide try and see what they do different

Mugen Glider if you have prexisting choices made it will effect the outcome. Just follow the vid and do all three chapters for each outcome as intended. It is such a pain but is the way to guarantee the right result. What difficulty you have it on will not make any difference :)
I have beat the game twice, one normal and once hard. When i try to chapter select 3, do the sidequests for the sporty outfit, then chapter select to 8, do 3 sidequests for the mid-tier aerith dress, the carriage cutscene for Tifa has her in the blue dress. Did the skip not work? I also lost my manuscripts from the chapter 18 fights even though i got the trophy for hard mode. Can anybody please help as I'm starting to waste alot of my time. What am i doing wrong (most likely in chapter select???) Thats preventing my dress selection to not save. (bonus if you can explain why my manuscripts in chapter 18 didnt carry over once i was forced back to the menu after credits.)
Breadley Wheatler are you loading different save files? I found that trying to do things faster by hopping between save files just screwed everything up. Like I had the trophy for music discs and the angel of slums. But on the save file I was finishing up on I didn’t have the music disc from Honeybee inn and neither did I have the elemental materia from the angel of the slums. That’s all o can think of, save files.

Yes it is the multi save files that screw up everything. When I was trying to do the 9 dresses trophy and I missing Tifa sporty and exotic dress as I chose mature for my first playthrough when I did sporty on my chapter select doing all the side quests then save into another file before tifa ask about the 3 dresses option because I thought that by saving it I don't need to do all the side quests again to get Tifa to ask question, then on chapter 9 when I got Cloud black/grey dress never complete the whole chapter thinking that once I can see he wearing the dress then it should be counted so I exit the game and load back to the previous Tifa save file. Boy I fuck it up big time, I went through again when choosing exotic then went on chapter 8 for Aerith last dress and then finally Cloud white/purple dress once I got them the trophy doesn't appear. Then I realized that you have to do the side quests all over again for second time and have to complete the whole chapter 9 for all dresses to be register in the system. I spend 5 hours on this tedious trophy and half of the time it's for nothing jeez... so now I just save 2 files one for normal and one for hard since they have set different hour of play meaning that it will not crash into each other NG+. I'm currently having really hard time on the pull up trophy, my rhythm suck and not quick enough for pro challenge. I hope FF7 can share play so that I can get someone to help me it is so bad game design on that minigame, squat is way more fun

Looks like there’s a mistake in the choosing of Tifa’s dresses. In order to get the Discovery Event to choose her dress, you must complete all side quests in chapter 3 each play through. For example in the play through 3, chapter 3 only completing rat problem caused the game to skip the Alone at Last section with Tifa where you chose her dress.
Autumn Nights No the way this works is that, not activating the Alone at Last quest is actually a choice of dress, it has the same effect as one of the responses of the that discovery Q. So I’ve done it this way to help speed up getting all outcomes as fast as possible :)

I need help. Actually this is my 2nd playthrough in ps5(beat the game in ps4). First play through was kimono, second was chunli. But when I choose the the OG dress and saw tifa in the carriage. Skipped the scene soon as I see her back(assuming the OG dress) checked my log and its still 2/3. Do I need to finish the cutscene? Or I did something wrong??
Same for aerith. First play was the OG dress. Unlocked the plain dress, then unlocked the dress with red ribon. I finished the chapter 9 all the way through. Still record as 2/3.

On playthrough 2 chapter 8 we just complete 3-5 side quest only. Random or what? Cause 5.50 i see u just pick complete 1-3 side only. The second question i have been completed all quest on chapter 3, 8, 9 for default so it's means only just playthrough 2 & 3 left, is that alright?
