I have nearly 20 pulpwood cords of ash logs to buck. With wood chucking help today, bucked a good 3 cords of logs in 4hrs, including rest breaks and breaking equipment. Next week, hope to finish off the load of logs I'm working on. Then splitting time!

Chris, just heard (in one of your videos) you might be near Appleton (Wis). I went thru there in '78 (or '79) on a roadtrip with a couple of Navy buddies. Spent a couple days in Manitowoc! Love your channel! Learned so much about wood and splitting watching your videos!
That’s the beauty of UA-cam. You can have a firewood channel where you pretend that you sell firewood. Or, you can have the real world of someone who works hard at producing and selling firewood. When upgrading a woodyard, would you first upgrade to getting a tractor or a processor? I feel like the obvious answer would be a tractor, but I figured you'd be the best person to ask. Question: I would think that dealing with the resplits at this time would be more productive and keep the wood cleaner, but that would involve a lot more people. Is it your plan to deal with the resplits on your own so you can poke away at it when you have time?

Can I ask, what size bed does your truck have, and if I remember right you said a level load and a little crest is a full 1/3 Cord, and what about stacked in, and would you know the width of the bed, and on your new 6x10 trailer have you used it enough to know how full thrown in thank you
It's really annoying watching those top blocks of wood doing a 180 and falling back in to splitter chamber or requiring action from operator but can't think how to solve it.
Chris I’ve always wondered why you don’t have a small portable sawmill?….A few decent logs and you could come up with lumber on the spot …..maybe you have no use for one not sure just wondering .
I sell firewood and barely have time for that. Some tell me saw mill some tell me sell mulch some say sell saw dust for bedding some say make fire starters, some say make pellets some say stack all 200 cords a year some say cement the whole 2 acres and some say build a giant pole shed for the wood but very few send the money and time for it all.....so.....
thinking a little about your wood handling, how much do they cost you to get a m3s (a cage like that you have). then you have to count on everything, tyvker is not a smart double splitter when there are splitting axes up to 14 pieces if not more, and then lie down and drive with a tractor max. 2 pieces in and three people have to go through at least 15 boxes per hour. have them boy 
Instead of dumping in the trailer, then dumping the trailer by the barn, why not let the wood fall form the conveyer on the cement slab, then use the other tractor with bucket to push the wood towards the barn?
Can't the ram and the log advance mechanism work at the same time? The ram is waiting for the saw half the time and the saw is waiting for the ram the other half of the time. It just seems that a nice looking robust machine like this could be a heck of a lot more efficient than what we are seeing here.
It is a manual processor and there are 9 levers , 4 do 4 things and the other 5 do 2 things . I have 2 hands. Yes it is possible to do many things at once and until you run one....you don't know.
@InTheWoodyard trust me, I would be loving every minute of it. I would be trimming them big knots off before loading them on the deck to keep the operator a little more trouble-free. Old school working man I am.

i have found it works better to load the logs on the processor stump end first. that way when they are traveling down the chute they don’t get caught up as much on the branches.

Yes cutting corners generally never works in the end! good educational channel as we can all learn from others mistakes could have shared your past mistakes earlier.
Reminds me of a new boss on the job that wanted to try a different process that had failed in the past stating that we had not tried it while they were in charge, so we tried the failed process again and to everyone's surprise?

I use sawdust in my chicken coop. The small snakey ones are a pain and time consuming.

Truck 6.5' box 5' wide??? maybe 1/3 of a cord loose, 1/2 a cord stacked. Yes 2/3 loose full as I can make it.
That wood looks to be in prime shape. Shouldn't take long to dry. It will be premium by next wood season or for campfires.

We have tried that, they do not split well, they kinda flare out and get crushed.
