One of the issues regarding this movie's plot is the villain makes a lot of valid points. Sure he has a bit of an ego, but everyone in his kingdom is happy, and it's not fake happiness. They even live there for FREE, for crying out loud. He's incredibly generous and kind.
And they ALL knew what happened to their wishes. Every single person knew they give up their wishes and forget them, and no one had any problems with that.
Asha had a lot of nerve to question the way Magnifico's methods worked when she knew from the get-go what giving up the wishes entailed. And doing that during her own interview to become his apprentice is pretty disrespectful and unprofessional, so it's no wonder the king got mad.
Sure some wishes wont be granted, but that's for good reason. Literally the king proved himself right about the grandpa's wish because, in the end, it's a SONG that defeats him.
Music truly was powerful and capable of overthrowing him, therefore making his point still correct.
So really, Asha just destroyed a good king because she couldn't accept the basic rules already laid out for her throughout her life, and now she literally just gets to do EXACTLY what the king already did: grant wishes.
Nothing has changed, she's just gonna have to learn on her own when she grants a wish that should've never been granted that Magnifico was right.
I don’t think it matters whether _you_ forgive him or not, just like in real life the only people who can truly forgive people are those hurt by them, the others forgive him so that’s the end of that.
What stinks is there are better ideas in the art book that they cut! Like how the star was going to be a trickster boy like Peter Pan, and how both the king and queen were going to be a villain couple.
I know about those but honestly I like the movie I just think the song writing and dialogue is bad. That's just my opinion though
@@quitethekylah2393 the lyrics are bad, making it awkward trying to sing along. I may not be a music expert, but lyrics need a flow to them.
Wish was a cute movie i liked it i think it could have been better if they give it more timeframe and better songwriting and all but i think its a good movie i can rewatch it and im happy u give it a chance cuz its far from a bad movie u need to actually give it a chance

I agree it can be like that ik it has that power maybe in the next 20 or idk 10 years the movie would get that cult follow up
People seems to like that movie. But the critics as dumbassess, they don't like it because they're hypocrites.
Critics can be very well critical but thats why its so mixed in reviews i saw bad reviews on the film and good ones so this movie has its lovers and haters
Myself i love this movie i would tottaly rewatch it again in future its not as awsome as like moana or tangled but its an original and new movie and not just a sequal 🙄
