What did you think of WISH? Valentino is the GOAT!!
Well, it was great when I saw it at the theater. Everybody liked it.
Maybe you should watch Home (2015) it’s a dreamworks movie and you’re gonna love it, and it’s funny. I recommend you watch it.
When are you gonna watch Toy Story 3 & 4? Also you should start watching the Ghostbusters franchise, because there is a new ghostbusters movie coming out in March.
A-
Huh I don’t get it?🤨
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA😂😂😂😂😂 I Get It!😂
Seb should watch Atlantis the lost empire
(2001), it's one of the first Disney films I ever saw, so it has a lot of nostalgia for me and it's a really underrated Disney classic too.
Your right! This movie is excellent especially the animation, the music and the action. I like Atlantis and it's a better movie than Wish too 🙂
ooh also Treasure Planet and The Iron Giant!!!
i think it’s very similar to Stargate 1997
I WISH people liked this movie. It was good in my opinion
Count that as 79 likes in this minute.
Shouldn’t have made the villain had a point at the beginning though, should’ve given the main character more character and some common sense.
Chris pine is hilarious for playing the villain❤😊
I saw this with my brother and sister-in-law on Christmas Eve. It made me happy, and I thought the villain song was such a banger. It was a nice, simple movie. And maybe I'm simple for that but I don't care. Life's too short to get caught up in "oh, this wasn't as in-depth as such and such movie" or "this didn't meet my incredibly lofty expectations based on nostalgia and peer pressure." Disney has always been about magic and dreams. Decide for yourself. And if it truly is your actual opinion that you don't enjoy this movie, then I respect it and I won't fight you; it's just that the hate bandwagon has been absolutely ridiculous the past few years thanks to how the internet is nowadays. I have to admit the end credits sequence had me quite emotional as a 30-something that's seen literally every mainline Disney film. I don't want to be like every other commenter asking Seb to watch such and such movie, but I will politely endorse the idea that he explore the entire Disney canon from the beginning even if he's already seen some films. It's his channel; he can do what he wants!
I think the problem is it’s a bit bland compared to other Disney movies and it was meant to be 109 anniversary
Thank you for saying this movie wasn't bad because it really wasn't, it was actually really good and wholesome.
i agree idc who says its bad
I like the queen
Wholesome. Sure.
It breaks my heart that most Disney fans can’t see the magic in this movie.
I would say it's fixable, the villain seems better than the protagonist and many other things that nuch people already said.
@@alfysCave and I would say it needs a sequel. Frozen 2 was better than Frozen according to public opinion. It added more to an existing story.
@@danamarvelstar yeh, If they get it to do a sequel, I hope it improves aspects of the story a little, the king didn't even seem bad and Asha looked like was just having a tantrum for not getting the wishes of her grandpa
@@alfysCave If that is what you thought happened, rewatch the movie, then we’ll talk. Sometimes movies are worth a second watch to fully appreciate them.
What magic it's completely soulless why did they change the story when the og one was great. It's a pathetic excuse for an anniversary and that's what annoys me the most 😭
You HAVE to watch “Once Upon A Studio” it’s the celebration of Disney 100 and it features all the Disney characters you can think of!
Seb should definetly watch it, but I do also think he should watch atleast a few more Disney films before that, so he can get as many of the references as possible
Except for the Song of the South characters.
Movies that Seb has to watch:
1) Gnomeo and Juliet
2) Spies in Disguise
3) Godzilla (1998)
4) Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
5) Lilo and Stich 2
6) The Spiderwick Chronicles
7) The Croods
8) Dune
9) Disney’s Pixar’s Brave
10) Jim Carey’s The Mask (1994)
Why tf is Gnomeo and juliet on the top xD
THAAAAANK YOU!!!! I couldn’t have been the only one who likes this movie. It’s like stop looking so hard and just enjoy whats being given. Especially the music.
You're not the only one, I like this movie too! And I enjoyed watching this for Disney's 100th anniversary. 🏰🌟🎶🎵🎼🟣⚪
An underrated and actually inspirational piece of animation
@@wreckitralphfan0017 The song “This Wish” got me through a hard hard time and it helps me look at situations in a whole different way.
Exactly... Wish is one of those movies that doesn't deserve that much hate 😌
Especially the music 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Your comment is sooooo funny 👌
I know the movie has flaws but calling it the WORST Disney Animated Feature is a bit dramatic because there are way worse Disney movies than Wish
I prefer to say it’s mediocre and a far cry from the Centennial
“Mi Rey” means “my King” so I guess it’s her respecting him or her pet name for him, or both?
I think part of the reason this movie didn't do well is due to the writers strike. The quality isn't as good as Frozen or Encanto but I still liked it.
It had the same writers as frozen tho
@@anthonyanderson9303 then they just did a bad job. It's obviously not as good as frozen
@@SentientPotatoXIII I think they spent top much time worrying about fan service and Easter eggs to older movies cuz of the 100 year thing. Some of them were subtle enough, others were way too on the nose that it takes you out of whatever story they were trying to tell.
@@anthonyanderson9303 that could be another factor. None of the songs were really memorable imo either, except for the villain song. I know a lot of people don't like it but it was stuck in my head for like a week after I saw the movie 😅
@@SentientPotatoXIII Yea that villain song was stuck in mine too. I think some of the songs are passable, while others are down right awful. That You're a Star song is just...wow that's really bad.
I will say I do like the voice of the lead character; I know she's a Broadway performer and I believe she was the girl in West Side Story, you can tell she's talented. Just wish she was given better material.
People loved going on the hate-train with this so it didnt do very well in cinemas which is very sad. If people stopped listening to others and actually let themselves go and see and decide their opinion instead of being brainwashed to think something is bad i think this movie would have done way better. Its a good movie with lots of throwbacks to other older disney movies.
personally i think its an okay movie at best, but the animation style is not as good as any other disney movies
it looks like a pirated rip off disney channel
@@cheesus13_it’s just a different animation style, which i know is crazy that it exist 😮
Well just because you think it’s good it doesn’t mean everyone agrees with you. We’re all allowed to have our own opinion about it.
@@d4red3v1l8 the problem with it that people literally only started hating on it because of the forced hate on it. I see people hate on it and they haven’t even seen it.
@@cheesus13_ people are mad and always say “bring back 2D” and then when they do a movie with more 2D they complain about how it looks.
There are a lot of Disney classics you could've watched before this one i can't lie😂

Seriously
@usanatv2007sentertainmentinc I absolutely agree
Imagine being butthurt over the smallest things 😂😂😂
@usanatv2007sentertainmentinc. No one said he couldn’t lmao
Oh man I can't even watch this reaction because I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'll come back when I do. Seb please consider watching 'The Mitchells vs the Machines' I think you'll love it. Love your vids❤❤
Oh yes, love that movie!😄 I died laughing almost the entire film🤣
I think that Magnifico (if I am correct) is so worried even before the evil book, that someone will be more powerful than him, he doesn’t wanna give their wish to them if it could threaten his future. Aisha’s grandfather’s wish is just to make music, but because Magnifico’s ego is so huge, he is afraid his music may turn against his rule, that he doesn’t wanna grant it, Magnifico wants no wish granted that could threaten his rule, & along with other reasons thats why he ends up failing in the end, I think this movie is a perfect Disney film that isn’t trying to change the industry, but trying to remind us of where the best stories came from, original imagineers of Disney!!
What I also find interesting from the extra’s of this film is that Magnifico’s name is a male version name of Maleficent, as a tribute to Disney’s 100 years of filmmaking
Yes! Thank you so much for this! So many people say that KIng Maginfico was the hero and Asha was the villian, and it is driving me crazy!
@@tiffanygwinn1603oh yea, thats insane like how can you genuinely justify Magnifico as a hero & Asha as a villain?? I mean I feel like thats just people not liking Asha’s character
That's not even true because even in the book he asks Star why he was ignored when his family was killed, he curses himself to stop the threat of a star like.. he literally says it lol it's heroic and very selfless compared to a kid who joined his apprenticeship just to ask for a wish
@@Alex-mh5mu I didn’t even know it was based off a book so your opinion is 10,000% valid because I didn’t know that at all!! Im just going off the movie they released, so if there is a book with the same premise, good for you for sticking up for it, its hard when a book that people really enjoyed is interpreted & if you don’t agree with it, thats totally fair! I personally enjoy the animated film & had a blast with it, if you didn’t, totally fair & you are entitled to your own opinions!😊
Seb you gotta watch the rest of the ice age movies, they're so good and just get better and better
The “Mi Rei” that the Queen says means “my king”
My favourite song was 'At All Costs' bc I love songs like that. It tugged at my heartstrings and I was bawling in the cinema
It's a love song
I watched this movie in cinema with my mom and I was so anxious because people online said it was bad. But I liked it. I also got a poster of it in my room. It’s so cool of you to react to this movie.
Correct me if im wrong, but I thought the queen was saying "Mi Rey" which is spanish for "My King" (again, my spanish is a little rusty so I could be totally wrong)
I loved wish as well.
Yeah i don't understand why most people didn't liked this film, just as the same i loved the first time i saw it at the theater cause for me,i'm not picky like everyone else and gets easily impressed unlike party wrecking deadpanned critics cause i already want a sequel cause we've all been thinking about disney princesses, princes, warriors, kings, queens and wizards but we've never ever thought of the orgin of the fairygod mothers so what's Fairgodmother Asha's orgin story?
Seb needs to watch Pirates! (2012)
I absolutely loved this movie saw it 3 times in the theater. I love Asha and so happy that you liked it. The animation is amazing I love the blend of 3D and 2D.

12:00 🥰 this movie is so adorable

Wish is super good. I love the film. And Valentino is super cute. Even though he has a deep voice. But what I would like is...
a few short films about how Asha got Valentino, what happened to her father and how she met Dahlia and co.
ok soo no one has to read this fr but this is just my take on the kings “villain” song because so many people seem to dislike it: i believe it fits the personality of the king like he is a narcissist how believes he is doing the right thing for himself. the upbeatness and the lyrics(i dont think thats a word) serves that purpose to push that narrative forward. in the hamilton musical, all of king georges songs are upbeat and the lyrics also gives narcissistic vibes and it was done well.
anywho that was may take😋 if u actually read this thank u lol
It's great you enjoyed the movie, i had a hard time liking it. The animation is ok BUT i'm dissapointed it's not in 2D. The last movies in this style were Pooh 2011 and Princess and the frog. Would be fun to see 2D again but i doubt Disney will use it 😕
I didn't like:
- The songs. They are ALL pop wich don't go well in a world full of magic and cute animals. If it was classic music or jazz yes but not Pop. None of them is memorable except '' I made this wish! '' I can't remember the beat for the others and saw the movie 4 days ago.
- Valentino said NOTHING funny plus he didn't helped Asha to defeat the evil king. Not create a diversion so she can imobilize him with a spear; like Mulan did in the original movie or stoling the staff like the dog in Anastasia (Smart plan and effective!) He did nothing! If he was like Gromit the dog, muted but kind and brave i would like him.
- Asha's friends were not interresting. They are just a reference to the 7 dwarves, that's it! None of them has a personality, a dream, favorite food. I can't remember their names.
- Asha learned nothing during her adventure. Not that granting all wishes is a bad idea or that working hard makes wishes comes true and not magic. She had no arc, no development. Her design is a mix of Moana (for her face) and Pocahontas (For the long flowy hair.) She has Rapunzel's pruple dress and a goat friend like Esmeralda. Not very original ☹
- The king became evil out of nowhere. First he protected the wishes then the book controlled him or he decided to use dark magic? It's confusing! Also, wanting more power while you are already a sorcerer is stupid; makes no sense too!
I like the action and the animation is ok. Not enough to make the movie good to me. I give Wish a 6|10.
As an animated film it's good, but as a celebration of Disney's 100th anniversary it underwhelmed.
P. S. Asha becoming the fairy godmother undercut the lesson everyone showed just seconds ago, don't it?(that's to work on your wish/dream yourself, no magic required).
Fairy godmothers are not exactly like genies or wishing stars or wishing wells, they are more like protectors. They do occasionally grant one wish per person but only if the person goes through half a lifetime of struggling in order to prove themselves worthy. It is hinted that Asha will not be directly granting wishes; she will just be using magic to provide support with the impossible parts so that she can help people pursue their dreams as the star helped her but did not directly grant her wish from the beginning. Interestingly, it did grant the goat's wish to talk but that was probably only because this is not something that could be achieved through hard work or any other human means. That incident with the chicken was just an accident; she was not granting anyone's wish as nobody asked for it, she was just trying out the wand.
Also, Asha is not the fairy godmother from Cinderella or from any other Disney movie. She is just another fairy godmother. The art book clarified that it was just a nod to the Cinderella fairy; they are not the same character.
Seb, you need to watch Onward. It’s a great Pixar movie.
“Who’s Bidden?”
Forbidden basically means off limits. It’s first grade, SpongeBob!

You should watch Ronald the barbarian it's so crack up it made my laugh laugh so hard 🤣🤣🤣
The only other movie that has a Star that comes down to earth. Is best movie ever Stardust which is a fire movie great film. Please react to it sometime.
I'm happy you found some enjoyment in this movie, because I was bored and/or miserable the whole way through. The goat is annoying af, the story makes almost no sense, and the songs are awful. At least someone enjoyed it.
*Why Don't More People LOVE this Movie?*
Us: If they kept the original concepts, we would've. (Star being a boy named Earendel (Morning Star in Old English) who becomes Asha's love interest as well a villain couple).
Note: Disney could've had it's cake and eat it too with Star, by using Star's cute design whenever Earendel is low on power.
It wouldn't make sense for the Wishing Star seen in lots of Disney media to be anyone's specific love interest.
@realfitzmarker you just made that shit up😭 the starboy is supposed to be his deceased grandfather in younger form
See if I got hold of the wand at the end...

Personally, I’ll put the movie under the label of “not that bad” type of movie. But not many people are going to admit it since y’all just jump onto the hate train on tiktoks even before the movie got released
Its an ALRIGHT film overall. Some elements i reallh like, but thats it haha
Like if u loved the film
What you said is right 👍
It's not that the movie is bad, it's just hollow. Looking at the original concept you can see just how much was stripped away leaving behind a superficially entertaining movie with no depth. I certainly had fun watching this for the first time but the moment I learned star was supposed to be a talking character and a shape shifter the movie seemed a lot more disappointing
WE COULD HAVE HAD STARBOY! :,(
please look at the concept art for this film ! It was supposed to be a love story and the Queen and King could have been Disney's first villain couple. Also listen to the demo version of At all costs by Benjamin Rice and Julia Michael , that duet could have been Asha's and Starboy's love song. The movie is cute but Disney could have done so much more for this film :,(
The Starboy would have made it a rip-off of Neil Gaiman's Stardust.
Hell no, I'm glad we got what we got, the "concept" sounds like a stupid DeviantArt fanfiction

This movie wasn’t bad.
Yes the plot could use more revisions but at the end. It still has that Disney movie joy.
I enjoyed watching this in theaters, but it definitely had some issues that bugged me throughout, the biggest being the pacing of it all. It just felt, to me, like it was far too rushed, jumping from one plot action to the next to the next without enough room to breath, or really get deep into why. I think, if the movie had had an extra 20 minutes, maybe 30, they could've fleshed out more of the characters and the story beats better.
That said, Ariana DeBose deserves to be a Disney princess, and her songs in particular were stuck in my head for the following week :p
This is EXACTLY how I felt about Encanto. So much missed potentional for that movie because it was rushed. And they could have made half of those songs better.
@tiffanygwinn1603 say what???? Encanto has one of the best Disney soundtracks ever what you mean?

Not bad.
I hope you stuck around for the end credit scene!
Have you watched breaking bad series yet. If you have not will you wtch it and make a series about it?
I think a lot of people hate it because they don't like the story writing aka "the concept for this movie was better then the final decision for this movie" and they don't like the animation style
But you see, some of those concepts were debunked. And some of those concepts, I think they were afraid because of the Disney hate band wagon. They were afraid of angering parents again.
While that is definitely a big aspect of it, a larger part is that the story follows a villain who corrupts a hero before defeating the corrupted hero, but also portrays the villain as an outright hero (for the best evidence of this, compare the backing tracks to “This is the thanks I get” and “What I know now”). They also have a bad message which is best summed up as “there is no such thing as a bad wish, they’re the purest part of your soul, but you cannot achieve it through hard work or accepting help from others, only through trusting the system can your wish be granted for you”, frankly it’s a bad message to give to kids. There can be bad wishes and hard work can absolutely help you achieve a goal.
@@TheNinthGeneration1 Asha is the one trying to stop that. She says that you should work towards your own goals. The king is only doing it so that way he can keep people in control.
@@moneylover318 she’s wanting to remove the restriction on how many wishes are granted, she starts her Revolution because she learns that her Saba’s wish will never be granted. Magnifico still granted 12 wishes every year (sometimes throws in extra ones) and he gains hundreds every year, not every wish can be granted even if he did 12 a month. It’s a lottery. For the ones he never grants, he still keeps them safe, even the ones he thought could destroy his second home, like his first. His back story is losing his own wish and family, then vowing to ensure no other wish could be destroyed by learning how to grant them. He then built Rosas, a kingdom that is largely happy where you can live to be 100 in medieval times. He’s one of the most sympathetic characters they have ever made.
On a side note, he doesn’t even kill anyone. If he was really a villain, crushing the wish would kill the person who made it (until the end when the wishes are released, then the people come back to life).
The whole point of Asha becoming the fairy godmother (gaining a magic wand from a star who can grant wishes, and what Happy calls her in the scene) at the end is that she can now grant every wish without limit, it’s why she says “never stop wishing” at the end instead of “you can always make your wishes come true”. She didn’t remove the idea of wished being granted, she’s just now the one able to grant them and is also convinced that no wish can ever be bad. She has no character growth or major struggle, she even defeats Magnifico with a song sung by the entire kingdom, before he is trapped in a mirror forever. He didn’t deserve that fate.
@@moneylover318 she’s now the fairy godmother who is known for granting wishes, and tells everyone at the end to “never stop wishing”. She still plans to keep up the old system, just with no filter on which wishes are granted. Her main reason for attacking Magnifico is that he won’t grant her Saba’s wish, because he’s afraid it could destroy Rosas. He’s also justified in that fear regarding wishes, seeing as his own wish was destroyed when his home was invaded. He’s a sorcerer who learned magic to grant wishes and protect them. He built Rosas, a kingdom where the people are happy, can live to be 100 years old, and even have the chance of getting their wish granted if they choose to give Magnifico their wish. You can choose to not give it to him and pursue it yourself, he even says that he’s given wishes because people are not able to grant it themselves.
It’s not a perfect system, but it’s still an effective one.
23:44 This is the most beautiful scene in an animated disney movie ever. I am tearing up. That's it. The real meaning of this movie. People uniting and fighting for their land, for freedom.
The hate that I saw was mostly based on the style of the computer generated graphics. Its a bit off putting at the beginning, but honestly I thought this was a cute story. Could it be more in-depth? sure, but sometimes you can just have a cute story.
Hopefully for those who love this film,it will be rediscovered and be popular again like Hocus Pocus remember,at first release year,it wasn't popular but later on then it became 1 of the most famous halloween films so maybe Wish will sometime be just as famous through the same path as Hocus Pocus!
