Our brains don’t even need stimulation to do it, it comes up with vague feelings of being unwelcome and we will avoid family for months or years over it
There's a difference between being sad your friends didn't invite you to something and being so upset they didn't invite you to something that you stop talking to them for months and also now you're never going out, you never sleep, you barely eat, and you want to die. Huge difference
Somewhere along the line, people forgot the whole "disproportionate" part of mental health diagnostic criteria. For example, everyone gets worried and can show signs of anxiety disorders, but that worry is proportionate to whatever they're worried about. That's not the case with anxiety disorders.
One things I’ve notice with the human race is that everything is a joke until it happens to them or their loved one. You can explain something so many times to a person and they will not “get it” until they get it when it occurs in their immediate life.
RSD for me is like... My friend invited me to her boyfriend's birthday party... And then the next week the day before the party I mentioned the party, and being excited, and her facial reaction seemed to say to me that she forgot she invited me(she didn't forget). 😅 And it made me really upset, and I eventually after a series of events, didn't end up going. 😅 I ended up crying that day, and refused to talk to her for a week afterwards, and even thinking about it, hurts still... It's been a MONTH. 😢😅 I KNOW it's illogical, and dumb...but it still hurts. 😢 And I've been trying to get over it still. 😢
That would still be disordered. Children who aren't properly socialized can develop disorders (like this one.) Requiring the validation of others to be happy is disordered. Not being able to handle rejection is disordered. These are all disordered behaviours and people need help. No amount of you going "You're just too soft" will suddenly cure these behaviours

You seem like an Alpha Widow?
Because they are so soft, unsocialized, and dependent on validation of others.
