It might be just some people don't like the film. She is famous for the twilight series, but even all the great movie series, doesn't mean everybody like it. For example, I am not a big fan of twilight or the Harry Potter series, never managed to finish watching any of those films (except the last 2 Harry Potter film, I finish watching it once) I don't like James Bond series either (except the Pierce Brosan version) But I love the Star Wars series, I like the Lord of the Ring series in the beginning, but now getting sick of it. “With writing and directing, I think I had to grow up to realise that you don’t need to be smarter than other people. You don’t need to know things that people don’t know. You’re not providing a syllabus to life. It’s more of a personal experience to try and bridge this gap between us where you say, ‘gosh I’ve had this idea, and I want to say it really loudly to see how many people feel that way’ so that we can be less alone. That’s why you make movies” - Kristen Stewart, 2019. I love this! She has become so much more articulate on her ideas and I love it 💡 💕
These words really stick to me honestly. I was and sometimes do get insecure about my intelligence which makes me not want to say my ideas or answer questions cause I’m scared it will be the wrong answer. Thank you, Kristen. @@kevinduenas twilight isnt great. Is is very cringy and creepy and although first 2 movies were ok the last 2 is pure cringy but the first 2 were good for its time. They were very intresting for teenager and fitted perfectly for market demands since vampires were so popular back then
Twilight definitely could’ve been better but it’s not the worst thing i’ve seen. Irregardless of what anyone thinks of it, it’s definitely one of the biggest defining moments of our culture whether you love or hate it. Still, Kristen is sooo much more than that movie
Kristen Stewart is underrated. She has an amazing mind. She puts so much thought into her answers and knows who she is instead of just throwing words together to make a sentence. In my opinion, she's very talented and inspiring. I like her.
She never really wanted fame. She wanted to act. When she talks about her art she’s expressive and fluid, when she has to do a press conference or interview in front of 100s of people i think it’s anxiety inducing for her
Well said. Riveting actress. So intelligent & seems so down to earth & relatable as a humble human being & while being the immensely talented woman she is.
Can we talk about how much more comfortable and confident she seems in interviews now? I remember during the Twilight saga she was super uncomfortable. I’m glad she seems happier now!
I still haven't seen Spencer yet and I've been saying this for years. Of course you're going to give a weak performance when you're given a character that is as boring as a blank sheet of paper. And to her credit on those movies, nobody gave what we would call a "good performance". The material she and the rest of the cast was the problem. It always was.
This is the actual Kristen Stewart guys, not what you've been thinking of her as Bella. She's definitely gotten more comfortable recently as she's gotten more comfortable with herself and more true to herself. I'm like really really happy that more people can see now that she is an eloquent and intelligent woman who is a great actor and not just 'the girl who played Bella and never smiles'.
People always hate on Kristen, but I've always thought she was an amazing actress. She excelled in every role. She captured Bella so well that sometimes I'd forget that she *wasn't* Bella in real life LOL
Honestly the Twilight series is the only time I felt like Kristen wasn't trying. She's remarkable in basically every other movie she's done, including "Speak" which makes me mad they didn't ask her about it. It's clear in her performance alone that the Twilight project wasn't as important to her as other films. When she cares, her true acting prowess shows.
Even for a 12 year old Kristen Stewart, she was pretty good in Panic Room. Her performance kinda give me an anxiety, let alone adding Jodie Foster in the scene
@Serah Anil I did read the books back in 07/08 when I was 12/13. I bought breaking dawn the day it came out. I look back now with cringe and regret reading them entirely. There is so much better literature to read and emerse one's self in.
My thoughts exactly…like she’s not Bella in real life! It’s mind-blowing how well she played that part. It was simply made for her! She’s super underrated as an actress.💕😌
This interview shows how constrained an actor is when they are a part of a blockbuster studio movie series, especially when they are young. So many people judged her for being what was expected of her by the author, producer, and especially the fans of the books. Once she broke free of that, she was able to become her true self. Thus the reason for so many smaller films, which truly showcased her talent. Now she can dip her toe back into bigger films as her own person. Love her.
I, for one, loved her in Twilight. And I am really glad that she had a glow-up now that her career's kicking off. She's also gorgeous as ever. Edit: Thank you so much for the likes! Have a nice day everyone! ❤️
@@peachykeen_paige I remember reading something along the lines of making the movie having hit her harder than she thought it would? So maybe it's difficult to talk about.

@Debasish Dutta I wouldnt be suprised if she was very immature at the time and has since grown to be the well spoken and thoughtful gal she is today. I dont think mistakes should follow people endlessly if they've grown and learned, especially if the person was young at the time of the mistake

In serious note, people who hated her performance have never read the Twilight books. To her defense, Bella is basically a bland awkward boring character in the book and Kristen played her perfectly
most peeps hates you for : Twilight and they hate : Twilight just kidding!I used to laugh on how emo those vamps were!nobody can write vampires like Anne Rice!
She was dull and boring in twilight even cheated on the vampire.. and the "it factor" is the single most cringy thing i have read this year "sorry blind fangirls"
She played a plain, ordinary girl in Twilight. It wasn't acting. People who dislike her have many reasons, one of which is she has no range. She's a one-note actress who doesn't have the depth or skill to create believable characters. You don't want to see the same performance over and over. She's also been incredibly messy in her personal life, which she lives out on the sidewalk in front of the paps. It's like she has them on speed dial now, so they can get new pics of all her new girlfriends. She knows how to keep her private life private, so we can only conclude that she wants the attention, which is not an attractive quality.
I see the boys hate it cuz it's cringy, to me as a girl maybe there's some of the scenes that cringy but not all. It's a good story, boys doesn't love romance movie and they turn it into a joke spread it everywhere. Some of people even haven't watched the movie and said it was terrible, it makes everyone thinking it is terrible. But actually it's not. I'm happy that some of guys make a reaction to Twilight and it turns out not that bad maybe they just complain about the baby cg and some of odd things in it.
Okay. The character Bella was literally MADE to be boring and no offense, kinda worthless. She was meant to be nothing special. Just to show how special she was to Edward. How this boring girl had something extraordinary happen to her for no reason.
Stephenie Meyer (btw as someone called Stephanie I’ve never rated that awful variation of the name) purposefully wrote her as a bland person with very vague physical descriptions because she wanted -herself- the reader to be easily inserted into the role as Bella in -her- their fantasy of shagging an elderly man
I love how both Kristen and Robert seem like very deep thinkers and still, after all these years after Twilight came out (even tho we all know they hated it ), they seem so respectful towards it and grateful like there are so many instances when the actors insult the movies that made them famous.
Every time I watch a Kristen Stewart interview I just fall more and more in love with her, she's great at articulating her thoughts and I'm so calm watching her
I think that's why she has a colossal fan base because a good majority of us can relate to her...being misunderstood, introverted & even complex. I've always found her to be spellbinding♡

She's not underrated as much as hated by a certain group of people. There are enough people loving her, loving what she brings to a movie to make sure that she will have a long, successful career. And she has the independance of mind to do it her own way.
@@ogtriple6483 i think their protrayal of edward and bella were fine. those characters were just written by stephanie meyer so badly, it's not the actors' fault tbh. oh and watch Good Time, High Life & Cosmopolis. they're amazing.

Kristen's most iconic performance is the one in the Disney Channel series "The Thirteenth Year" where as an 8-year-old girl stood in line to tap water, it was her first ever movie and that's why it's so iconic

trust me they just hated it because rob and kristen love affair. twilight was like the biggest movie back then and everybody was crazy about it, but when their love affair happened ppl suddenly said the movie was trash and all lmao
I like the books. They are a very different view on the typical vampire novel. It was difficult to do them justice on the big screen because they were planned as money makers and not to be a breakthrough for the genre. Pity.
I've watched this so many times, and it never fails to put a smile on my face. I look up to and support someone who holds her passion so dearly to her heart -- just the way her eyes lit up the entire time talking about her filmography. I am so incredibly proud of what Kristen has achieved.
This interview was incredible. It really grew my respect for her, and I think she gave a lot of poignant and rare commentary about being an artist instead of (or in addition to) being an actor.
I've been a fan of Kristen for a long time. You can tell how passionate she is about films. It is refreshing to see someone talk so beautifully about what they love.
It's so strange that Twilight was a huge success for years and people still feel the need to defend liking or loving it because some people didn't like it or say she did bad in it. Obviously an enormous amount of people loved it or there would never have been so many made. We too often feel the need to defend the things we like to people who don't.
She’s definitely lucky she had a parent who was already in the industry. Working so young, it was definitely a gift to have a parent that was likely more involved and knowledgeable about the rooms she would be walking into.
So we're just gonna forget about "Snow White and the Huntsman"? No shade. OMG! Thank you all for liking my comment. I really appreciate it. Much love to you all!
What about Speak? Based on the book. I thought she portrayed the character and what happened to her so well. They also didn't talk about The Messengers. It was actually really scary.
I love Kristen Stewart so much. She’s in my top five favorite actresses. She’s so unapologetically herself. The way she talks about film, you can tell she really loves it. It’s her life.
when i saw zathura after watching the twilight series. I immediately know that she is indeed a good actress, she showed a lot of emotions in the movie. but unfortunately, she made a poor decision of being well known in a movie as a character with dull and boring personality, aka bella swan. She and robert both are good actress & actor, eventually due to the twilight series, they were well known and hated at the same time, not because of their acting, but because of the series and the characters they played. This leads them to rockbottom and had to star in more indie films, which slowly is paying off for both as they get to play more hollywood films now, robert as the new batman, whilst kristen as the new charlie's angel. Patience finally paid of for both great acts.
I have been and am in love with her way of talking and explaining how she thinks/feels about the stuff she loves/insterested in. Her sentences, eyes, hands everything about her radiates her passion. I would seriously could watch her speak for days nonstop. Wish I could have a meaningful conversation with Kristen. She's so lovely and brilliant in everyway.

I don't understand why people don't like her she's so smart and unique and actually cares about what she says. forever a fan.
I do like the original Spidermen series, but also getting sick of it also. It is not that people don't like Kristen, just, you can't expect everybody to love the twilight series.

The fact that she got so much hate for being "a bad actress" and now she's an Oscar nominee. Truly beautiful.

Love her.

She knows how to keep her private life private, so we can only conclude that she wants the attention, which is not an attractive quality.

when i saw zathura after watching the twilight series.
