A quick google search led me to his twitter and he said he had weight loss surgery, presumably a gastric band was fitted and that, combined with a lot of exercise sorted him out.
Edward Kenway yeah I think that's my one critique of this game. The ending was generally the same, with just a few tweaks depending on gameplay decisions
"Fallout 3 started half the size" and I hope that's the reason why F4 is still not announced because they're putting in so much they're not sure which to cut and deliver to the audience.
If it's not Fallout 4 they'll be announcing at E3, I'm going to be really disappointed. I mean I love Elder Scrolls, but I'd rather have it age a bit more before making another game.
Anibal Morales I don't see what's wrong with it it's linked with a fallout 3 side quest.....I think the only reason people hated it was because the character had a voice, the graphics got better, some dialogue wasn't there because they had a voice, and it didn't feel like an RPG
I didnt mind the characters having a voice, I just think it sucked overall , the npcs looked and acted ported from last gen, the setting was pretty boring, the settlement building was tacked on, and for me the cities were only mildly entertaining at best. not to mention every weapon looked the same even the uniques, the factions were balls idk how people like it like at all
Fallout 4 doesn't feel like a rpg game. It feels so watered down compared to the other Fallout games. I love Fallout 1,2,3& NV. I could play anyone of them despite already playing them for hundreds of hours each.Fallout 4 is the only one I cant.
yeah everything great they mentioned here for this game, they removed and/or dumbed down completely in the newer games. In fallout 4 they butchered VATS, In fallout 76, they completely removed it. And this goes for a lot of things that were fun.
@@KneppaH VATS in 76 would be a little weird considering the PVP aspect, but still it would be welcomed when doing PVE. I didn’t like it too much in 4, it it’s “okay”.

holy shit that guy Emil from bethesda lost a ton of weight since this video!!!!!!! i saw him in some interview for fallout 4 last week and now hes like the same size as todd
Fallout 3 is just absolutely PERFECT in terms of exploration, atmosphere, and quests (the actual quests themselves). I mean with New Vegas, it's pretty much agreed that there are a ton of options and different ways to complete the quests. The option to tackle quests in various ways is definitely appealing...it's just that I found New Vegas' quests to be...boring. Defending town after town, running to deliver messages, etc. I don't know, I didn't really enjoy the quests that much in NV. And the fact that it's mostly barren desert doesn't help either. Fallout 3....my god the quests are just absolutely intriguing, bizarre, hilarious, interesting...The Replicated Man is just a master piece, Tranquility Lane, the Antagonizer quests (forget the name, but the superhero one), the one where you have to invade a fucking underground ANT colony to find the queen ant, the wasteland survival guide, the vampire quests, the chick that's obsessed with nuka cola and has a museum and gives you those quests. Oh shit and the one with the Soviet spy in Point lookout! I honestly can't recall a single quest in Fallout 3 that left me disappointed...were there many ways to complete the quests like in NV? Probably not, but still to this day I remember nearly every single of one FO3's quests and only a few of NV's quests (which I played more recently and have more hours on). Which game stuck to its roots? New Vegas without a doubt.... Which game did I enjoy more and still play to this day? Fallout 3 by far.
I'm getting the fallout 3 game of the year version for the Xbox 360. I know that there are five dlc and I'm not sure what level to start them at or even what order to play them 😕. can someone give me some advice on that please ?
Dunoid Same. I absolutely loved New Vegas' main story line, and the DLC. but the side quests in New Vegas were horrible imo. So many of them just have you running back and forth. FO3 I disliked the main story, but had such great side quests (which most people spend the majority of the time on anyways)
IMO this was the greatest game ever made. Been playing games from the early 80s and nothing brought me into a world so much. I remember walking out of that vault for the first time saying " OMG I can explore all of that?" I had no idea what was about to unfold....Thanks for the memories guys!
I agree 100% man. Sometimes you will see criticism of a game because it's empty. Bethesda made Fallout 3 feel empty but even making a game feel empty has an art to it, and Bethesda done that so well. Even after playing Fallout 3 for the first time in 2009, I still play it regularly today. I can't seem to grasp that we may need to wait until 2029/2030 for Fallout 5 to be released. Bethesda likes to put hints in there games that point to a possible location for the next game. The Commonwealth was mentioned numerous times in Fallout 3. In Fallout 4 a background of the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco is seen in one of the quests, possibly hinting that San Francisco could be the next location for the next Fallout.
@G.T.E403 San Francisco is in Fallout 2 so it's probably a callback rather than foreshadowing. Doubt Bethesda will go back to the West. They've set all their fallouts on the east coast to separate them from Interplay/Obsidians' fallouts. I think they'll go to another country before they go back west. Although I wouldn't mind a 3D reboot of the first two games. Edit: It's most likely gonna be New York according to insiders. Wouldn't rule out Chicago or New Orleans
@@toastedt140 New York was actually going to be the first intended location for Fallout 4 before the setting was changed to Boston. Whatever the case may be, we're going to be waiting a long time for the next Fallout. Even if you go by Fallout's past development cycle, we wouldn't see a release until late 2030. It's a long shot but Bethesda needs to licence the dev kit to another developer (Like they did with NV) so another game can be made before 2030. Story wise it doesn't need to have anything to do with the main Fallout games, just another Fallout.
Idk, FNV has a lot better role playing aspect with a lot more freedom, and in Bethesda games you usually can't just kill the quest characters or important characters, but FNV allows to do it and game recognizes it.
4:33 Bethesda games are the only ones that makes "Ok, gonna play 1 or 2 hours of Fallout now" and finally turn off my pc to realize that it's been 6 hours. Pete Hines and Todd Howard...you genious devils.
Adam, as I hyped as I am for fallout 4, I will never forget the paths you carved for the elder scrolls and fallout series. I hope you are still in a better place
god i loved this game. I was so impressed when i first turned it on not having any idea what was to come. especially with Liam Neeson being my dad i knew if i got into trouble with anyone he'd look for them, find them and kill them.
Adam Adamowicz, the concept artist for Fallout 3, passed away from Cancer. As hopeful as I am to see an extension of the Fallout series, I worry that the success Fallout 3 has for being unique cannot be duplicated without the ingeniously gifted Adam Adamowicz. His artwork is magnificent to say the least, and to me contributes by in large to the enduring allure of Fallout.
Askmeaboutit you know how Todd says it wasn't his fault if people would think the game was different from what it is. If you watch Todd's 4 E3 events / interviews for 76, and the NoClip documentary, it's pretty clear (a) it's a text and audio based story, (b) Jason Gardiner is fairly clear about the problems with the launch edition but is excited for where the game goes with the DLC, and (c) if you you listen to Chris Mayer in the doc, and Todd at the announcement, it was going to be buggy for a good while.
The sound effects part at the end was actually brilliant. Makes me think of game sound in a whole new way. I'm gonna listen in the future and try and figure out what random objects they might have used!
"Why are you taking pictures of manhole covers around the White House?" and my answer would be very simple "I'm just imagining what this would all look like if it was blown up" haha >:) :P
lol, funny thing is I was a sr in high school when Fo3 came out, I did stay up til 5-6 AM playing it. On my old 20gb Xbox 360 it had a memory cache problem. I remember getting it one night and calling Xbox-Microsoft and getting the secret button combination you had to press to prompt the 360 to clear the memory cache! Now I think it’s built into the Xbox every time you restart it. Crazy
I actually really enjoyed Fallout 3. It's very different from the other games, but it's a fun game in it's own right. It has some truly memorable moments, and the story is very well written.
I wish they would remake this game in 1080p. They definitely accomplished there goal in creating a game that makes you lose yourself. Luckily I was on vacation when I played it in 17 hour increments.
Xiu Greyson Lol true man, if my dad was Liam Nesson and he looked at me and said "Im disappointed in you." I would be like, "No daddy it was a mistake! *Wails and cries* Forgive me daddy!" Lol that if he was, sadly he isnt
I could ignore the dated (even for the time) music choice but those Dutch angles were driving me nuts. Just one after the other, over and over and over lmao.
"Cool is cool forever, man" - confirming it in 2020. And God, I have put 40+ hours in the game jus tto realize that Liam Neeson was my dad?! Incredible!
@@Da60FOVDemon i'm pretty sure both of those games are good in their own rights, not everything has to be new vegas and for all we know new vegas could've fail in modern times. (also fallout 3 but that game has been hated to hell and back, and i love that game)
@@Da60FOVDemon Fallout 4 kicks ass: people only retroactively started hating it after 76, and it became cool to hate on BGS. Same with Skyrim. All the "Fallout 4 wasn't as good as we thought" "Bethesda was never that great" videos are ALL within the last 5 years since 76 came out
I think if Bethesda adds a composite bow to Fallout 4 that it could add a nice variation to the types of weapons you can use in the wasteland.. Just imagine a Mutant trying to pull the arrow out of his head... It's be kinda funny :D
***** well i wrote my opinion on the bethesda channel, on one of their videos, seems lots of people like the comment so far, so maybe it's getting noticed :P
Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas perfectly-compliment one another: One is green/blue, and the other orange/red. One is North the other West. One is metro, the other the opposite. Fallout 3 and New Vegas have in-effect, more or less the same parts only their own emphasis (one is technologically a mod of the other game's engine code). Why're people unable to simply like Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3 when they sort of do already...is strange tbh.
I first played this game when it came out at 9 years old. It’s cliche to say but it did define my childhood. I’m now 24 and very few games have come close to the all around quality this game has. 15 years later and it still has an insane amount of depth, replay ability, fun gunplay, stellar writing. New Vegas is still my favorite because if it’s much needed levity but I will never forget exploring the capital wasteland as a 9 year old. Also my music taste was shaped by this game.
I really really hope they have a documentary type thing for Starfield. I like to follow passionate game developers and I’ve always felt that this team was extra passionate with their projects and I would like to highlight this team specifically because 74 was a turd in almost every aspect.
I wonder that because, I played all 300 hours of the game, and I thought there could have been more. Like, why couldn't I have made a robot to help me? Or, there should have been a mission to help the Megaton waterworks get better water. Or perhaps another mission to make larger stronger walls for Megaton. I felt that I should have been able to customize my hunting rifle, one of the most versatile weapons in the game, so that it had a scope, or shot a heavier load, or something. I thought there were things missing in the game.
WarBerJr02 Those are extremely specific things and asking for them is kind of ridiculous. You shouldn't look back on 300 hours of gameplay and go "Oh they forgot this." They didn't forget anything, they can't include absolutely everything, but they did a damn good job of having thousands, millions of things to do.
I know what you mean. I use the Creation Kit to create mods with Fallout3 and you can see all the areas where spawns occur. They could have made a lot more random encounters than what they left it with. Overall though they had to accommodate the console limitations however, so its understandable.

god i loved this game.

"Cool is cool forever man. This is cool 50 years from now".Its 2018 enjoying it. Only 40 more years to go
I got news for you pal!
This game came out 2008. Let that sink in.
"Cool is cool for ever. This is going to be cool ten years from now" - Todd Howard
I actually think he is right, this game is excelent
eddie tocco tocco Okay time to get my bag pipes and impress the ladies.
Hello from the future here
Well im playing this game for the first time 10 years after this vodeo and hell yeah its good
tell me lies todd, sweet little lies
Todd is awesome!!
You hate fo3 too?
4u
That's a big big F in chat now bois. 76 is quite the bitch. Makes me watch this with a sad nostalgia ):
Askmeaboutit you know how Todd says it wasn't his fault if people would think the game was different from what it is. If you watch Todd's 4 E3 events / interviews for 76, and the NoClip documentary, it's pretty clear (a) it's a text and audio based story, (b) Jason Gardiner is fairly clear about the problems with the launch edition but is excited for where the game goes with the DLC, and (c) if you you listen to Chris Mayer in the doc, and Todd at the announcement, it was going to be buggy for a good while.
i hope they do a remaster for this too
I find it funny some of their ideas they changed for F3 were switched back for F4 like V.A.T.S. being slow motion instead of stopped :P
The sound effects part at the end was actually brilliant. Makes me think of game sound in a whole new way. I'm gonna listen in the future and try and figure out what random objects they might have used!
"Why are you taking pictures of manhole covers around the White House?"
and my answer would be very simple "I'm just imagining what this would all look like if it was blown up"
haha >:) :P
The fact that I have the collectors edition of this and have never noticed or remembered this was in the lunchbox is crazy.
lol, funny thing is I was a sr in high school when Fo3 came out, I did stay up til 5-6 AM playing it. On my old 20gb Xbox 360 it had a memory cache problem. I remember getting it one night and calling Xbox-Microsoft and getting the secret button combination you had to press to prompt the 360 to clear the memory cache! Now I think it’s built into the Xbox every time you restart it. Crazy
I will never look at the ants the same way again. Now every time I here them coming I’ll think of plastic crinkling
Who's idea was it to not put iron sights in the game?
They didn’t want it to be like cod or anything. I know I’m 9 years late.
I actually really enjoyed Fallout 3. It's very different from the other games, but it's a fun game in it's own right. It has some truly memorable moments, and the story is very well written.
thank you jay great video
Thanks for watching!
"I hope someday we're known for Fallout just as we're known for Elder Scrolls"
other way round now
I wish they would remake this game in 1080p. They definitely accomplished there goal in creating a game that makes you lose yourself. Luckily I was on vacation when I played it in 17 hour increments.
Pc version says hello

I am sorry I can't be a bad person when my dad is liam nelson. I mean if liam nelson said I am disappointed in you I would cry. I would seriously cry,

13 years ago now and still I’m finding new things in the Capital Wasteland. Damn good game.
Best game ever
My absolute favorite game, no game ever captured be like Fallout 3 did.
The music choice was so weird and distracting lol but other than that this was an awesome behind the scenes experience.
I could ignore the dated (even for the time) music choice but those Dutch angles were driving me nuts. Just one after the other, over and over and over lmao.
11:50 I would absolutely be in love if this guy let me look through all his concept art from fallout! 😍
He died back in 2012 due to lung cancer :((
@@blu6 awe thanks dad to hear.
Fallout 3 was so brilliantly designed and thought out. Still one of my favourites to this day.
"Cool is cool forever, man" - confirming it in 2020. And God, I have put 40+ hours in the game jus tto realize that Liam Neeson was my dad?! Incredible!
Fallout 3 never gets old. I always have to replay it every few months.
It’s so sad how we went from fallout 3 and NV to fallout 4 and 76
@@Da60FOVDemon i'm pretty sure both of those games are good in their own rights, not everything has to be new vegas and for all we know new vegas could've fail in modern times. (also fallout 3 but that game has been hated to hell and back, and i love that game)
@@Da60FOVDemon Fallout 4 kicks ass: people only retroactively started hating it after 76, and it became cool to hate on BGS. Same with Skyrim. All the "Fallout 4 wasn't as good as we thought" "Bethesda was never that great" videos are ALL within the last 5 years since 76 came out
My favorite game ever fallout 3
Fallout 3 was great. Is great.
Used to put so many hours in on this game. Spent entire weekends from morning to late night in the Wasteland. Good times
Props to Emil for losing so much weight since this DVD was made!
One of the greatest games of all time and savior to the Fallout series. The formula it had pioneered some good games.
Holly shit Emil lost a lot of fing weight! 👏
So wild seeing how much weight Emil lost. Such a hard thing to do.
Fallout 3 pinnacle of gaming.
fallout and the elder scrolls best series ever!
*NO QUESTION ABOUT IT*
They're the only games that make me feel like I AM the character (at least with TES) rather than I'm playing AS a character.
the sound guy is something special,
“Fallout 76’s Nausea Induction Level is: Very High”
Not the first time I watch this. Fallout 3 is a great game, and I love the feeling of nostalgia watching this.
Todd looks like and sounds like a young Michael Scott
todd howard is already like steve carrell enough, but seeing him in his office makes him the image of carrell
I think if Bethesda adds a composite bow to Fallout 4 that it could add a nice variation to the types of weapons you can use in the wasteland.. Just imagine a Mutant trying to pull the arrow out of his head... It's be kinda funny :D
stephaniepretty yeah Bows, we don't have enough the last Years^^
SuPlex ^-^ hehe
***** well i wrote my opinion on the bethesda channel, on one of their videos, seems lots of people like the comment so far, so maybe it's getting noticed :P
stephaniepretty Fallout 4 concept art has a crossbow on one side ;)
Ama Llama yeah so i've heard, havent seen it nor gunna look :P
Bethesda will never do better than Fallout 3. This is their peak.
3:06 Wow! This was back when it was only 2 times the detail! 😂
Todd Howard is Michael Scott
Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas perfectly-compliment one another: One is green/blue, and the other orange/red. One is North the other West. One is metro, the other the opposite. Fallout 3 and New Vegas have in-effect, more or less the same parts only their own emphasis (one is technologically a mod of the other game's engine code). Why're people unable to simply like Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3 when they sort of do already...is strange tbh.
There's a guy who once said something about War not changing.
oh how the mighty have fallen...
Seriously. It seems like every big studio literally fall from grace after they get super successful. It makes no sense.
@@jimmyrustlerz probably Investors and board members pushing for early releases.
Todd looks so different... wasn’t even sure it was him. Dayum
Fallout is making a comeback. Get ready.
Fallout is dead pal
@@Dillybar777is dead.....Number 1 still on amazon video........so what's dead.....
So glad someone else sees this.
It is but you should cry it's gonna be butchered
@@daviddougher8637 yeah I love playing the TV show on my Xbox lmao. The game is toast man.
I really really hope they have a documentary type thing for Starfield. I like to follow passionate game developers and I’ve always felt that this team was extra passionate with their projects and I would like to highlight this team specifically because 74 was a turd in almost every aspect.
Lmao
that todd guy looks like he was in the chess club
Damn, looking at Pagliarulo now, he's lost a lot of weight.
Fallout 3 was such a great game. But, at some point, it left me wondering how much more could have been done, and how much more should have been done.
Why would you wonder that when there is like 300 hours of gameplay? They put a ridiculous amount of things in it.
I played the game, and I thought they could have put more content in it. And, I still think they could have put more content in it.
I know what you mean. I use the Creation Kit to create mods with Fallout3 and you can see all the areas where spawns occur. They could have made a lot more random encounters than what they left it with. Overall though they had to accommodate the console limitations however, so its understandable.
I wish I could tell them when they were making this, that fallout will end up being one of the most amazing games ever
Imagine being the guy in charge of the gun play mechanics, looking at the complete pile of garbage that it is, and thinking "Yup, it's perfect"
Wow!! Never tought Malcolm McDowell played the voice of President Eden! Great surprise!
I always wanted to ask the devs how are supplies, ammunition, weapons, armors, and clothes are able to fit themselves into a wrist gadget.
