    Many of you have asked about the interesting looking putter that I have been using on the channel. After struggling with putting for my entire life I started asking important questions such as "What is the easiest way to putt a golf ball?" "How can you eliminate variables of the stroke?" "Can you reduce putting to only line and speed?"
    Well, I did it. I found a perfect method of putting that matches my Single Plane swing science - the BioMech putter and stroke.
    Frankly, this is the easiest way to putt. You know me, I’m always looking for the “best” way.
    I get into some detail about one a few videos on my channel, however the basics are simple. The lead arm aligns with the putter, the trial arm aligns with the shaft - just as you find in the ideal Single Plane Golf Swing.
    Furthermore, the position of the body is open just like you hit full shots and chip. In every respect, putting no longer is a “foreign” feeling stroke. With this putter, it feels like hitting short shots.
    I love it and firmly believe that armlock and shaft-lean are the future of simplifying putting. Thanks to BioMech, I now have a coupon code for everyone on my channel.
    Here is the website:

    The Coupon Code is: TGGACE
    Use the code to save 10% on the AccuLock Ace putter that I have been using on the channel. They have a fitting protocol so make sure you get the right length. You will absolutely love this putter.

    Todd,
    I’ve played 11 rounds so far this year with this BioMech putter and the results have been mind-blowing. It’s beyond exciting to have the confidence this design now provides. Your video is terrific. If anyone is wondering...”should I spend the money?”...the answer is a resounding YES!!

    So, I took my BioMech putter out to the practice green yesterday and. . .I LOVE IT!! 1st putt, within inches, 2nd & 3rd putt went in. There were two guys on the green prior to me getting here. . .after awhile, they just stopped what they were doing and looked at me. One guy went in the clubhouse while the other continued to putt. After awhile, he couldn't resist himself and struck up a conversation with me. . .it was due to me putting pretty much lights out, LOL!! I could tell he wanted to try it out...so, I let him putt about 5 times. . .mind you, I'm 6'2" and he's 5'7 at best. . .so, he had to adjust, but anyway, I told him the concept behind the putter and how to hold it. In any event, he loved it. . . :)) Anyway, thanks Todd for video! I actually saw this putter on another video before this one and THAT'S where my interest was piqued!!

    Tried out my biotech putter yesterday and today. Yesterday I really didnt understand the setup well enough to make any comments but came home last night and watched several videos on it and learned how to use it the correct way. I think I made a good investment for once! This putter is really nice. Im saying this after only 2 days of practice. Obviously I have to keep working with it but this putter is really smooth. The greens on my course are very slow so I inadvertently let the club disconnect from my left arm a few times on the longer putts(putting green only) but that is something I will work on. I was also standing too far away yesterday mainly because I didnt know any better. I do like the fact that you just use your core to move the putter. Taking out those variables! I added some lead tape on the bottom to get that heavier feel. So after 2 days I have to give it 2 thumbs up!

    Fantastic putter I first saw at the NZ Open in Queenstown used by Heath Slocum. Got a one-on-one hour long lesson with the developer - Todd is absolutely correct about the technique and I was shown that it was hip turn that is incorporated in the putt, as seen with the slight flex of Todd's trail leg on a simple medium length putt.
    Stance width is a personal preference but the alignment with the lead and trail arms is always there

    Got my first round in with this putter. I’m sold! Made a 6’ come back and a 20’ in the first two holes. Of my 32 putts I can think of only two that weren’t on the exact line I wanted. Still need work on speed control but now that I have confidence I can hit my line I’m sure this will help. Two things of note. Go with a shorter putter if in between. I went longer and have trouble standing close enough which puts my right hand on the shaft. Also, just like chipping and pitching I have trouble hitting with an open stance so I’m using it square to my line.

Being 6’1” putting practice has always been tough do to low back stress. @@ToddGravesGolf this should be the putter of the Graves Golf Academy. I think if you had a few at the schools, everyone would order one. I mean, it is hard to Not roll the ball down the Excalibur every time with this putter. I have had this for one day and can already appreciate it's simplicity. I tried an arm lock earlier this summer and just couldn't get comfortable on short putts. Felt like I couldn't get over the ball even after cutting it down. The BioMech feels so natural. The only adjustment I use with the Excalibur is to stand on a 1/8 to 1/4 in of plywood because it feels to easy to put weight on the putter with the Excalibur being elevated, thus jerking the takeaway. No more excuses! May very well be the most important club Graves has ever endorsed.

      @@ToddGravesGolf To level set, I use Arccos and last season had a +.4 strokes gained putting. So generally, not bad. First time out with BioMech, with almost no practice , 12 holes 20 putts yesterday. Not sure why but I felt really confident and comfortable using this putter. Setup is natural to me. Aligns to the target nicely and there is NO way (unless you go out of your way) to not have my hands lead or to flip a wrist. Distance control was a bit off probably because the head is much lighter than the putter I've used for the last 5 years. That's just practice thats needed. But I made a couple of 4-5 footers to save par. And I knew it was going to go in! My playing competitor was looking up whether it was legal while we were playing. Thats worth the price of admission. Glad you found a putter that you like and is consistent with your system! FYI your long putter is still 100% legal, you just can’t anchor it. Adam Scott used a long putter in the 2020 Master’s, US Open, PGA Championship, and his win earlier at Riviera. Bernhard Langer has dominated the Senior Tour using one, and has also used it at the Masters the past few years.

    • @ToddGravesGolf

      Yes the long putter is legal but since you can’t anchor it - it doesn’t reduce the variability

      Variability? Moe claimed his golf swing was like a pendulum, which a long putter emulates much better than any Kuchar style arm lock putter ever could. Little titbit here that changed my putting forever. I'm right hand dominant... but with putting, It does create too many variations when I use that dominant hand.
    When I start with my lead arm straight and my trail hand for support stability, I can just push my lead arm back straight, and it feels really good. I don't even rely on the weight, but more so distance I'm pushing it back.
    It would be really interesting to see how it works with this putter!

So I had to pass, but to be clear I recently had a euphoric experience shipping my mother in law off to Mississippi (by bus) for a little less than $81 and the bus ride included a snack and she weighs in at 177, so how much does this putter actually weigh? To close I must acknowledge the success I have experienced transitioning over to the single plane swing. I established my first handicap/index 19.6 in Nov 2019 after being away from the game for numerous years and my current index 13.3 all due courtesy of a quiet home once again aah I mean the single plane swing. But a true heart felt thanks Todd for your work it is appreciated

    Been single plane for 4 years. Tee tee to green has never been better. Bought the bio mech 2 years ago and I still struggle with putting. Specifically short putts inside 3 feet. I believe in the bio mech design. But could really use more instruction in rolling down the line. To me I feel down the line is like hitting a draw. Tired of missing short putts. Also long lag putts the balls gets airborne almost like chipping. HELP.

    Hi Todd. Love the channel, the content and the way you manage to simplify all the technical aspects and make everything relatable. Quick question about the putter, and more specifically shipping costs etc. I live in the UK and assume biomech are a US based company. Do they have oversees divisions for distribution or do all orders have to come from the US? If so this would unfortunately rule me out due to the extortionate shipping costs I would have to foot as an overseas customer. I've got to say I do love the look and premise of the putter though.
    Take care.

Need to also think about lead hand low vs right hand love for this putter. IF I stay lead hand low, I would need a shorter shaft length, right? ?????

    Hey Todd, big fan of the channel and I’m grateful for all of your insights. You have helped my golf game a ton- thank you! I’m wondering, don’t all armlock putters eliminate the wrists? Hence the name, armlock. With enough loft and forward shaft lean, can’t any armlock putter work in a similar fashion? Thanks again, I appreciate your work!

    • @ToddGravesGolf
      @ToddGravesGolf  3 роки тому +2

      HI Jeff. Yes, all armlock putters lock the wrists however, this putter's shaft lean at 12 degrees, along with the head design, sets the balance of the putter where you don't fight the putter design. Most other arm lock putters, because of the straight shaft, don't balance correctly when locked to the lead arm. I was shocked by the ergonomics of this putter and how "naturally" it worked with my body.

    Todd, is grip size important with this putter? I just got mine, but on a previous putter I bought through Graves Golf (an Odyssey Red Dot), I was told I needed to use a #3 Super Stroke grip to properly fit my hands. Since the BioMech putter pretty much takes the hands out of the stroke, I'm guessing grip size isn't a factor but wanted to check in case I should use a grip size larger than the one that comes on the putter.

    • @ToddGravesGolf

    Ordered it yesterday. In the swing Todd, do you feel like your left knee is pointing at the ball at setup with irons. Kind of like if you fully straighten your legs and turn your pelvis to the right as far as you can? Cuz I feel like if I tilt and bend forward at setup then my pelvis is open from the tilt and you say it needs to be square at setup but I can’t feel these things. You have that k motion thing so if ur feet are square and you tilt parallel to the target line and don’t close off your body how many degrees open is the pelvis?

    • @ToddGravesGolf
      @ToddGravesGolf  3 роки тому

      Left foot is open so knee does not point at ball. Turn your pelvis against the trail leg but make sure your feet are correct. Pelvis is square at address. Nobody can feel it - that is why I use video and tools like K-Motion to measure and quantify.
