In my opinion this is the best episode of Game of Thrones. It's just jam-packed with great stuff. I consider this the show's peak, but I'm interested to hear your reaction to the stuff that comes next!
GoT at its peak did painstaking effort to make the season finales chock full of satisfying payoffs that made sense to the overall story and characters. Least gimmicky cliffhangers of any show I’ve ever seen.
Probably my best single episode of the show and certainly my favourite season finale. A number of questionable decisions were made here which affect the upcoming seasons, but still this episode captures the moment almost perfectly. The War of the Five Kings is finally at an end, including this episode as its epilogue. All our surviving main characters are moving on to new phases of their lives. Game of Thrones Part 1 is over, we're starting Part 2 with Season 5. This is also a fitting last episode for GRRM's involvement with the show. From here on, the showrunners are on their own. Finally, Luke is on fire! Great reaction to a superb episode.
In the book there was always a saying that lannisters shit gold and in the scene the narration brings it up by saying it was confirmed that “the lannisters apparently do not shit gold.”
In the books this is much more complex, it was the spider (varys) that helped tyrion to escape but he did it because he wanted him to kill his father (with him dead and tyrion gone the lions loose their brains) he told tyrion how to get to the hand room knowing shae was there and also let the crossbow for him to find it. And this is explained because in the books varys is an Targaryen loyalist and wants to put Griff/Aegon (the son of Rhaegar and Ellia who people believe to be dead who they cutted out of the show) in the throne with Daenerys as his queen.
Their reaction to learning that Tywin was sleeping with Shea was awesome. ah ha Really personally Season 3 and 4 were the best. Very hard to beat(even though there's great stuff coming!).
I watched this show with my boyfriend for the first time and he has a habit of falling asleep during a tv show no matter what it is... he slept through the entire scene with the hound and brienne as well as the tyrion/shea/tywin scene but because I was too invested i didnt notice... i turned to see his reaction only for him to be assed out snoring. So the next day we had to rewind and I had to watch it all over again.
Epic reaction to shae and Tywin’s deaths. Truly love how you guys are more invested now. I was kinda trolled on discord and was feeling werid this definitely made my mood better thank you.
Y the hell no one talk about how much great of a soundtrack of this episode. Easily Got has the best soundtrack of any series! Maybe the expanse opening track give a competition but here I'm talking about overall!
Subtle changes from the book? Tyrion in the show is literally an angel who doesn’t do anything. Book Tyrion actually has an arc and character development, they’re literally only the same character in name
@@Johaufs Especially because of this ending. Jaimes betrayed him in the book and he leaves King's Landing in rage and vengeful. Whereas in the show he leaves KL remorseful and depressed.
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 Jaime didn't betray him, NEVER. The incident Tyrion the fool was pissing over was years before he got mad at Jaime after finding out the truth. Jaime saves him and the demon monkey reacts like that?
@@MrSupertallblackman no they aren’t tho, they completely remove Tysa thus removing an entire part of Tyrions character, they remove the fact that even by this point Tyrion wander a good person, they remove Penny, etc. book Tyrion and show Tyrion are barely the same charters
well, that was GOT at its peak, Guys. as unfortunate as it is , it's all downhill from here. :( Small but noticeable drops in quality in the next two seasons then humongous drops in the final two. However nothing can bring down the greatness of the first 40 episodes though. 10/10 and it's up there as among the best of TV.
You guys just finished watching the seasons that were at the peak of the show/story….sorry to say that from here on….. the show will never be as good as seasons 3 and 4…..but even a bad season of GOT will still be better than any one season of any other show in history.
FYI this episode originally aired on Father's Day.
😂
Nice.
Hot Pie to win the throne
And in the end, Tywin Lannister did not in fact "Shit Gold".
Rip the Hound his watch has ended
😔 one of my absolute favs 😔

Season 6 finale is even better, imo. I believe season 6, in general, is just as good at season 4, but with an even better finale.
@@VoodooEagle Best episode of all time imho
@@VoodooEagle season 6 finale is maybe more satisfying than this. But that ep is not better than this. And neither s6 is better than this season!
@@Noone91875 I said that was my opinion, not an objective fact.

best fight scene of the show come on girls 😂 don't cover your eyes

With all the screaming, i think you missed that Tyrion didnt go to Shae's room but to Tywin's and he found her on Tywins bed, calling him my lion
They got it when she said "Tywin"

In my opinion I think season 5 is underrated. Enjoy guys!
The Hound lost because he needed to shit 😂🤣😂
can say the same about tywin
Great reaction!!...for the future always do 2 part reaction to big episodes
Season 4 was my favorite season also, followed by season 5. To be honest, some of 8 was iffy but all of the other seasons, I loved.
🎶4 hands of gold are always cold but a woman's hands are warm 🎶

The ruination of Tyrion's begins here. It's very subtle changes from the book but a very important one. And the character is never the same after it.
