What happens when you race the new 2018 Audi RS5 3.0-litre V6 twin turbo against the new BMW M4 C 3.0-litre twin turbo and a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 Mercedes-AMG C63S over a standing 1/4 mile drag race. Well watch the video to find out. Obviously the Audi as qauttro all-wheel drive so has an advantage off the line. But will it be enough to keep it ahead. I would personally choose the C63s, but all 3 options are really nice, especially the M4 with that beautiful blue they offer.
I personally like all of them but unfortunately i can't afford to buy any.
As someone who has driven all 3, I'd have the M4. The C63 may have an immense engine but the other 2, especially the BMW are much more involving and fun to drive.
@@martinbond461 I have never driven the RS5, but I have owned an S3, and my verdict on Audi is that they do everything so well, that they are boring to drive. My father owned a C63s as his daily a couple of years back, and I got to drive it. I thought is was an amazing car, everything from the interior, to the drama with that v8. I have never personally driven an M4, but I do own a M2 Competition, which has the same S55 engine as the M4, and I have to agree that it is a very fun car to drive.

Markus Michel A drag race has to do with power to weight ratio, Gearing, and how the car can put the power down. Turbos also compensate for displacement, the 3.0 can make as much power as the 4.0

Yeah but the c63 has more NM and a 510HP v8. Even tho it dosnt have AWD and weight a slight more that engine will deffinatly make up for it. It is 60HP more than the RS5.

Why is ordinary Rs5 Audi compared to the S version of C63 and the Competition Pack on the M4 ?????Why not ordinary M4 and C63 ?????. That's when I wish Audi could produce the performance version of the Rs5 with more horsepower then the race will be fair
I own a 2018 RS5 and all I had to do was get a piggy back ECU tune installed and it's up to 510hp. Cheap and doesn't even void the warranty. I'm guessing Audi will release a "performance" edition with higher factory power numbers eventually like they did with the RS7.

@redhookbrewha Burger Motorsports JB4 with a resonator delete and less restrictive air filter setup. For warranty reasons I'm staying away from anything too aggressive that involves sending off / modifying my ECU. I'm sure you can extract significantly more power from this motor, but this way I can put everything back to stock if something decides to blow up :P.

You should have been in manual mode with the needle in the middle so when you put your foot down the gearbox is ready not having to change gear when you want to go....

The only downside to the c63 is that it is slower around a race track, the m3/m4 is a better handling chassis, but your point still stands, the c63 is indeed a beautiful car, just for me, it leaves much to be desired in anything but straight-line racing and luxury

M4 has same power and less torque than the Audi, but the M4 dropped the Audi easily from a roll. The RS5 just isn't that quick.

The interior of the audi defo wins. The M4 is my favorite car but I gotta give credit to the s5. The steering wheel just looks soo clean.
I would still choose the RS5 because it's more relaxing to drive in it's beautiful interior, it has quattro system that means that on snow will help you not to stuck, plus rear passengers will not feel dizzy travelling in, and it's quick and beautiful from the outside. Probably i would love it to have a drift mode as the R8. And then boom, total maschine.

The ZF usually takes a second to downshift on its own. Should have used the paddles to set your gear before starting. Might not have changed the outcome but it would have made things closer.
