Very cool Security camera George Langabeer.
Yeah, I’m a big fan of this one!
Eufy in my opinion is ahead of the game in the camera department. They continue to improve so fast. Your wishlist is mine as well. Eufy please make these wishlist things happen!
Agreed. They are SO CLOSE to finally giving me everything I’ve been looking for!
It is a sleek looking camera. I like the alarm feature if someone messes with it. Good review!
Thanks Ma. 😊❤️
I have the Eufy cameras you recharge. Have had them a couple of years. This could be my next one.
It’s a great camera!
Thanks! I thot we only needed 1 camera but we must buy 2 in the package? If we put the 2nd camera in the back, we will need to black out our neighbour's backyard pool area. Thanx again
I'm thinking about getting this and using it in the Philippines. Any thoughts?
Thank you very much for great review. Can you advice please some video camera set with multi cam live stream??? Really important for me. Thank you for your work
I’d recommend a wired NVR system for that. This is my favorite:

Hey George. Which battery-powered indoor camera do you recommend from the Eufy ecosystem? I am planning to put some on the corners of the ceilings in the hallways.
If it has to be a battery camera…for indoors, I’d still recommend the 2C or 2C Pro. They have some new indoor options that are pretty cool, but they are all plug-in.
Hey George. I like your videos. I prefer reviews by a person I can see, who has actually installed and used gear. I won't even watch by reviewers you don't see. You're obviously are experienced and informed on security cameras. One thing that is barely mentioned in most reviews I've seen is the app. I've been using Wyze for a few years. The cameras are fine for the money, but their app is too unreliable. It often fails to send notifications and in some cases, doesn't record an event. All the cameras are pretty good these days. The app/system seems to be what makes or breaks the system. I really like how you ran through the settings on the app. Perhaps you could do a review just of the apps. I would really like to hear what you've experienced. Is the Eufy app reliable? Thanks for your video.
I’m glad you’re enjoying our content. Thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate it.
When it comes to WiFi security cameras, I think the app is just as important as the camera itself. Not always the most exciting part of a review, but definitely an important part. It’s nice to know someone agrees.
I like the Eufy App. It’s loaded with some great features. I really only have 2 problems with it.
1. I don’t like apps where you have to hit a “play button” to view your camera. I like apps where your cameras are live as soon as you switch to it. (That’s a small complaint)
2. A bigger complaint…They have a geofencing option in the app, so you can do different settings when you’re “away” & different settings when you’re “home”. Which can be useful for privacy. It uses your smartphone location to do that. I find that on their newer devices, this doesn’t work so well. It never seems to know if I’m home or away. I’m not sure what has happened, because Eufy used to do this flawlessly.
These cameras are ok but my issue is the recording time is only 20sec. Then it stops recordings, also it doesnt pick up all motion. Sometime people walks up to the door and it doesnt even pick them up..
Thanks for the video George. Can the camera work in low light conditions in colour without the use of the spotlight? If so, what’s the picture quality like? Also, can the camera also be powered via a cable run if the solar does not seem to be working too well in the chosen location? Thanks
You’re welcome and thanks for watching!
Depends on your definition of “low light”. Really depends on the situation. Worked great for me without the spotlight, but I have building lights and parking lot lights lighting up the area. If you don’t have anything like that, I wouldn’t rely on color, I’d go black & white.
In theory it can be powered, but there really isn’t a good weatherproof way to constantly power it. Eufy designed it to be used with the solar panel.
Thanks George, much appreciated.
You’re welcome.
How is the motion detection? Saw alot of bad reviews on that subject?
Motion detection has been spot-on for me.
is it possible to work this s330 WITHOUT the HomeBase 3??
just stand alone
Thank you - is one able to add on the doorbell / camera later to the system?
Yes, if it’s a Eufy doorbell.
@@GeorgeLangabeer Excellent. I have added it to my 4 Cam bundle. Im excited to receive and install this.
Let me know what you think!
Can the cameras live video be viewed on an AppleTV without using airplay?
No. Like I said in the video, these cameras are not natively compatible with Apple Home. Wish they were.
Can you connect the eufy cameras to show on a tv or monitor?
You can view them on a Google or Amazon Smart Display, but not a TV.
I need some cams that can go about 50ish feet, have decent NV, and doesnt run on wifi.
So many choices, its pretty confusing.
This is my Go To Wired System:
ua-cam.com/video/uKrROE9WdmM/v-deo.html
What if the thieves come from two different sides? Which way is t will focus?
Sorry, I’m confused by the question. This is a stationary camera, that is always looking at the same angle.
Hey I watched your video twice and couldn't find out if it has the #1 CON 99.9% of all these WiFi cameras have except nest. Does it record 24/7? I'm ready to upgrade to a 8k or 4k camera but I'll never give up 24/7 recording
No. Nest, using Nest Aware, is really the only decent way to get 24/7 recording. There are a lot of factors that go into 24/7 recording and 4k/8k resolutions make it even more difficult. I think it will eventually happen, but right now, there aren’t many options.
@@GeorgeLangabeer that stinks! Have you heard anything about a new nest camera by chance?
@GoldMineArcade I have not (unfortunately). They are long overdue.
I just want to clarify…Eufy does have some 24/7 options for their plug-in cameras, but not for their battery (solar cameras). But Nest aware does 24/7 the best.
Two issues not discussed:
1 - WiFi signal range
How far can I mount a camera, like on a separated building structure from home base and st - ill receive a signal?
2 - Color
Why do most of these outdoor gadgets come only in white? White fades to yellow in UV light over time and degrades the appearance. I prefer a black only option. Does this come available in black?
1. There is not a WiFi camera on the market designed to be placed on a separate building. WiFi is meant to be used inside, not outside, so it’s already a challenge, even just placing a WiFi camera on the outside of your house, let alone a separate building. For a separated building, I wouldn’t suggest anything over 25 feet.
2. Camera companies do a ton of market research when it comes to camera color. White is the most universal for aesthetics & it’s also been determined that white is the best color when it comes to a camera being a theft deterrent.
Eufy does sell black camera “skins”. Here is the link:

Purchased the three camera system a couple of weeks ago and already having problems with the the cameras holding charge or charging at all, and they are all installed in direct sunlight in the sunshine state lol. Is it only me or is there other people having same problem? Thinking about returning them.
I still have these cameras installed & they are keeping the charge just fine. Have you tried Eufy tech support?
Did you by chance change the power source to “external solar panel”? Because you need to keep it on the battery setting to use the built in solar panel.
How about the 24/7 recording the Google Nest offer?
What about it?
Eufy has plugged wireless 24/7 recording cameras. They are the E-series. The E330 and E340 Floodlight camera.
@tabysetterstrom6061 - Just keep in mind any 24/7 recording (including Nest Aware) is going to require constant power.
Hi! I am trying to set up my home base but am having a problem. Would you be able to help? I believe I am supposed to connect my phone to the same wifi as the home base. Is that the eufy wifi? If it is, I have tried but it requires a password. I used the same password that I use on the eufy app but that doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanx
You should be connecting your HomeBase to your home WiFi.
Any experience with Eufy working with HomeKit or Scrypted?
I’ve obviously used the native cameras Eufy offers, but I’ve never added a non-native using Scrypted.
i know we don't have perfect but what are the options for outdoor homekit native cameras?
@saulgoodman602 There aren’t many unfortunately. We’ve got: Logitech CircleView, Eufy 2c (and 2C Pro) and the Eve Floodlight Cam. That’s about it.
Thank you
@saulgoodman602 You’re welcome.
Just want to start this comment with I love Eufy cameras & ecosystem in general. I have 6 of the S330 cameras and live in Florida. I would stay away from these cameras if you can. I installed these cameras on the corners of my house with full sun exposure. They work great and never went below 90%. However after 8-9 months I noticed that they were no longer charging as quick and 1 would no longer charge. I thought all I needed to do was clean the solar panel off. All 6 of my solar panels on the cameras were peeling. I contacted Eufy and with a couple of info requests they said they were from a bad batch and to send them back & they would send 6 new cameras which they did. 9 months later I have the same issue with the solar panels. Looks like sandpaper. I dont know what solar panels they use but they don’t last. They say my warranty is past and will not replace them. I now have 6 cameras that will charge very slowly and 2 that will no longer charge. They have offered to send the separate solar panels but that is the reason I did not buy other company’s cameras. In my personal experience the cameras themselves are great but the solar panel will only work for about a year.
Sorry to hear you’ve had this experience & thanks for calling this out. I obviously can only speak from my experience, as they have worked flawlessly for me, but I have only had them installed a little over a month. I’m always testing new cameras for UA-cam, so I don’t know how long I’ll use these, but if I keep them installed, I’d be curious to see if I have the same issue.
Thank You for this helped with my decision to buy or not
Thanks for commenting. I live in hot sunny South Florida and am on the hunt for security cameras - reading you had issues I'm not buying these as I foresee pealing issues too.
Any luck with another system?
Guys, I’m reading the specs say operating temperature is -20°C to 50°C / -4°F to 122°F, as you are in Florida, couldn’t it be they are operating close or higher ti what the specs state? Maybe try measuring how high it gets… if they are constantly hitting their peak it could be they are overheating thus decreasing their lifetime. If true I would expect these panels to be upgraded by the manufacturer to withstand higher heat loads.
Well, that’s an angle I would look into if I had the same issues. I’m still considering to buy them.
Left a very important email??? Just want to apeak with about our future. Sent a video of the outside of home, somewhat country. You can reach me at the email I left. FYI...we have been retires, but do our best to keep learning TEC
Jo 😮
I responded to your message.
I have lost response..could you resend your contact info.? Thanks. Jo
We have spoke since this, right?
Military grade encryption means nothing when you don’t know what the manufacturer is doing with your data, or they get hacked.
All I can tell you is after Eufy got hit hard with privacy concerns (over a year ago), they got pretty aggressive for the better. It’s been my experience that the best privacy policies tend to come as a result of incidents like that. I held a grudge with them for a long time because of those issues. But they’ve won me back.
I work on cyber security. "Military encryption" only matters if the manufacturer can show independent tests results from a reputable 3rd party cyber security lab. If not, it is just nothing
Which Eufy has done (as a result of their previous issues, they had to).
@@GeorgeLangabeer do you happen to know a reputable surveillance cameras installer in the Houston TX area, for a family member?
@Puertorrican_Power Sorry, not in Houston.
Forgot to mention how horrible the motion detection is on this camera! You literally have to be within 15-20ft max from the camera for it to detect motion. I have 4-s330 all of them properly installed and tested repeatedly for motion detection and they all fail at this one major key for security cameras. All the other features are great. I would absolutely not recommend this camera for the money unless you live in a town house.
I’m still using these as my primary exterior cameras & I’ve had zero issues with motion detection. Doing what I do, I’ve got access to every camera known to man & could use any of them as my primary. But I still use these & that says a lot.
@@GeorgeLangabeer understood, I contacted EUFY and there customer service is excellent. Explained the problem they’re going to send new cameras out to see if that resolves the issue if not they will fully refund me so hopefully it’s just faulty cameras because I love all the features.
BEWARE, DON'T BUY THIS MODEL! The integrated solar panel will flake/peel off; as such the purpose to recharge the battery become useless.
How long did you have the camera when this happened?
