Born and raised in LA here and the best vegan pizza in LA is Pizza Presto in Pico Rivera! They are not an all-vegan pizza place but their vegan bacon chicken ranch pizza is my favorite of all time! They have so many vegan friendly options. Also, secret vegan pizza is one of my favs too
If you find yourself in OC go to Vegan Pizza in Garden Grove its in a little plaza with a small vegan mart, Luving Hut, and. Vegan sub place
They are so so good!!! I recommend the Spicy Thai and Mediterranean
Pura Vita in Weho is my favorite by far! Their pizzas are amazing and they have excellent Italian dishes too.
Hot tongue guy has a great great UA-cam channel. His interviews where he chats to other pizza chefs is top notch content
was just about to post this. really like hot tongue youtube channel
Secret Vegan decided to stop moving forward with the business & i’m so sad because they are so cool and delicious. I wish I could’ve done more to help.
Blaze pizza has a good vegan option and also Cruzer Pizza 100% Vegan
As a LA native, you gotta check out pizza presto. The BEST!!!!! the selection is wild
🙌🏽
You may watch 'Ghetto Vegan,' i think they live near L.A,, so they review restaurants around there...Also, i don't recommend buying Thrive Market's Hemp seeds (hearts), i found many black beetles with many waste products in it...i must have gotten an old bag, because there were a ton, and i had been eating from it without looking at it...This was last year or something...So, whichever brand you buy, you might want to check, but especially Thrive Market...🍓✨🌿
Nic’s on Beverley is fabulous for Detroit style pizza 🍕!! X
Double Zero in Venice and Pizzana (multiple locations) are my pics for best vegan pizza in L.A.
I’m with you Jasmine I also think Pizza Huts crust was the best 😋👍
crossroads has to be my fave! $$$ but one of my fave vegan restaurants in LA
Best Pizza ever in Hudson Valley,NY. If you ever travel there. Family restaurant on the Street w/possibly only 2-3 Street lights on Main Street,Beacon, NY 12508
Try the marinara pizza at Pizzeria Bianco Los Angeles. I've had it at their downtown Phoenix location and it's fantastic. Chris Bianco is an absolute legend in pizza making.
Love secret vegan pizza! Next time you’re in LA you should come down to Long Beach! So much vegan food/ lots of vegan pizza. Also gotta try Thai curry pizza. They have a vegan pizza option (Thai curry tofu pizza with no cheese).
Next time you should try Purgatory or Pura Vita! Purgatory's deep dish pizza is a favorite of mine they make their vegan rioccta in house and it's so so good plus order a side of vegan ranch for dipping (extra indulgent) and it's chef's kiss. From Pura Vita I love their Amelia pizza it's topped with arugula which I personally love as a pizza topping so it's my go to there, but the Diavolina pizza is a close second!
Hot Tongue - they hit me hooked on the white pizza when they were doing it from their garage!!!!
You guys missed out on Forever Pie’s meat haters pizza. I ordered a whole pie; so it was fresh. It was sooooo good. I say give’em another chance.
Nic's on Beverly - Wood-Fired Detroit-Style - Pizza Style: Pepperoni Pizza
NJ pizza represent! 😂😂
Here to support! ❤
The cheese sticks from secret vegan pizza are so lit too. And the hot honey stuff they have to drizzle over will change ya life
Love these types of videos! I’m surprised you didn’t get the meat lovers pizza at Forever Pie. The Beyond Pepperoni is so good!
Secret vegan pizza… pepperoni slices are UNREALLLL
Secret Vegan Pizza is my favorite. Sooo good. Super happy you got to try them out. Long Beach Vegan Pizza is great. Cruzer Pizza is another one but I had them just once. 👏
Loved this video ❤
What great timing! I've got a trip to L.A. coming up next week. Looks like Hot Tongue is about 5 miles from my hotel - if I get a chance I'm going to try to check it out!
So many of the frozen pizza companies lately are loading theirs with the fake vegan meats. I'm vegan and don't really miss or want that on my pizza not only due to the textures and flavor, but also the highly processed element. Gimme a great sauce, some delicious veggies and a passable vegan cheese and I'm lovin' it.
I agree! I do not want anything that tastes like meat etc…. I hate the taste! That’s why I don’t eat it!!!
Agreed! Have you tried Blackbirds frozen pizza? Reminds me of NYC pizza and even though I live in NYC I sometimes crave Blackbirds 🤪
@@jinit8083 I live in the South and don't believe it's available here. I'll keep my eyes open though.
@@sarahdee374 ah ok. My cousin lives in Houston and she found it at Target. Hopefully it makes it to your area sooner or later.
@@jinit8083 I'm in the Asheville, NC area. I'll check Target, maybe Whole Foods. Thanks again, vegan friend!
Love that you made it to Vegan Playground!! I bring people all the time, especially if they're just visiting LA!
Hot tongue makes their own cheese & meats. Alex is a great dude
Just tried Hot Tongue on your recommendation - soooo delish!
Secret vegan pizza is sooo good, haven’t tried many vegan pizzas, but they have pop ups in San Diego a lot and it’s definitely my favorite
I was really impressed by Hot Tongue the one time I went there too! The slices were better fresh, than the next day, but I love pesto options!
Forever Pie I've been to twice and at least in my experience where they really shine is that they are open late and even better: they have a "reverse happy hour" special for night owls during their last couple of hours where you can get two slices and a drink for a discounted price. Even adding on a 20% tip I still remember the bill being around $15 which for LA: is a bargain. I ignored their recommendation the first time, but their McLovin slice was probably the best out of the four slices I have tried so far, and really brought me back to some flavors I hadn't remembered since childhood but in a pizza slice form instead of a fast food burger. Last time I was in, apparently they had just added sandwiches too? I'll probably try one some other time. It surprised me how few late night vegan restaurants were open in LA, so I was grateful to find them as an OK option before heading back to NorCal on some of my SoCal concert ventures.
I look forward to trying Secret Pizza.
At the moment the SF Bay Area no longer has any all vegan pizza providers since Oakland's Pizza Plaza closed a while back. Above Ground does occasional pop ups at Millennium in Oakland which is probably the best I've had, but it is expensive and the portion sizes leave something to be desired. After that, Bare Knuckle Pizza in Oakland, while not all vegan, has the best consistent vegan pies open a few days a week with freshly wood fired oven pies, cheese from The Butcher's Son and Follow Your Heart, a variety of vegan meats and sometimes fresh fruit (seasonally pear or peaches) and generous arugula as well. Gluten free vegan crusts are available too for a modest mark up. They do sometimes sell out, and their hours posted relative to what is online can be confusing so their Instagram is probably the most frequently up to date information.
Last place I'd probably rank The Cheeseboard in Berkeley. While I am grateful they at least have vegan and gluten free options, the way they queue up and how vegans are treated as second class citizens needing to jump the line and make a request to an often busy staff who don't notice, to then get back to the end of the line and still end up waiting after paying often is just not a great experience. Also they only do one style a day, so if you don't like it, you're out of luck. Oh, it's also the most expensive. ;( If they weren't a coop, I probably wouldn't mention them at all.
Baia in SF is all vegan, and while not a pizza place has some flat breads which are similar, but for the moment, LA despite the urban sprawl and high prices and smog and hotter weather and traffic is way better for having more vegan establishments.
Love Amaro Pizzeria right on Venice Beach 🔥🔥🔥
Yes!! He does pop ups here in Vegas and people line up early and wait over an hour
Forever Pie never opened in Echo Park and that Melrose location closed without any warning! I heard that some employees did not get paid. Not sure if it’s true but that’s what I heard.
This is great! Could you do a Best Pizza in Portland video?
Great video!
Jersey pizza is the best!!
Sestina or Double Zero (same owner, essentially same pizza) is incredible vegan pizza! Best I've ever had!
Hi Jasmine! Where did you get your phone case? It’s so cute ❤
Another awesome video with all these yummy 😋 pizza's Jasmine & Chris. I have only been to Pizza Hut Restaurants ( not the delivery service option) in the UK. Pizza hasn't been a food that I have eaten much since being vegan ( it's usually a treat item). Love 🥰 the video and love 💞Jasmine & ❤Chris.
Yep, Hot Tongue all the way!!!!!!!!!
If only we had such delights in OR.
Zelo in Arcadia makes cornbread pizzas and have a great vegan pizza!
I live in Dayton OH... there's only one pizza place that has good vegan pizza IMO. Shout out to Old Scratch. Otherwise I usually just make pizza at home. It's fun to play with toppings and yes I take the shortcut and get my pizza dough from TJs. but it always turns out yummy I do love these vlogs though. It helps so much when considering travel and where to go w at least vegan options 💕
Smasher but I’m not sure if they sell slices; Garage pizza and for a fancier on Sestina!!!
Nic's on Beverly has amazing deep dish pizza- very much pizza hut crust but with amazing toppings! Got the Bianco 👏
Unfortunately they closed last month. 😢 Best vegan pizza I’ve ever had.
@@DannyJoy88they announced they’re not closing after all👍🏼
@@marieee4672 what an emotional roller-coaster! Glad they're staying open 🙌🏽
We went last month and it was very much opened!! Possibly the best vegan pizza I have had!
You guys look snazzy! !
If you can make it to Mora Pizza in Denver, that’s the (best vegan) pizza I’ve ever had, and I’m picky. It’s Brooklyn style too 🤤🤤
Was that a Knocked Loose shirt your friend was wearing? 🤘🤘
Yes it was, love that for them!
Thanks for the video! It's so great that L.A. has multiple dedicated vegan pizzerias! We don't have any strictly vegan pizza spots in Metro Detroit. Several places offer vegan options, but the cheese is so disappointing. Some places actually use Daiya, yuck.
OC vegan pizza in garden grove 😋
So I'm in northern New Jersey and wondering if there's any decent vegan pizza around here. I'm hungry!❤❤❤
omg i love vegan playground at boomtown!! so cool y’all went. i would recommend all vegan frank’s if u want to review hotdogs or corn dogs :)
also!! pura vita. best vegan pizza in la but more of a nice restaurant than a grab and go slice
duuuude secret vegan pizza is so good! so sad they're closing business. next time you're here check out Steel Pan @ Rodeo 39 (Stanton, OC) best detroit style pizza (the drive from LA area is worth it)
Can you recreate the food you love from restaurants not available to some of us??😢
Just heard Secret is calling it quits.😢😢
Hot Tongue made me jealous! I can’t find any good vegan pizza in Denver but I have to get to Mora Pizza - their stuff looks amazing but I’m in the burbs. Otherwise I miss good pizza so much!
Secret Vegan is the best!!!
Hot Tongue is the best 😩
Purgatory Pizza is the best Vegan pizza I've ever had in my life, and it's in LA ! Maybe check it out on another trip ! :)
Maybe I need to try hot tongue again because I thought it wasn’t that good. I feel like once you try Pura Vita, every other pizza tastes mid lol
💚
Awesome I love vegan Pizza 👍👍
Noooo Secret Vegan Pizza just announced they are on hiatus. 😢
Wait what??
WHAT?!!!!!
Their IG says on hiatus and a few days ago they posted a reel saying they were selling their equipment
y'all gotta go to cruizers, go for the pizza, stay for the cheese-y garlick breads
I ❤ your vids, I ❤ pizza, I ❤ vegan everything, with or without plant-meats. ( I do not miss dead animal flesh in the slightest ) Vegan pizza rules!
Do these places offer gluten free crust? I recommend Pizzanista. It's not all vegan, but has lots of vegan and gluten free options, and is really good.
hot tongue does have gluten free slices and pizzas :)
Shoulda tried purgatory
Looks like secret vegan pizza is no more, they are selling their equipment 😢
Secret vegan pizza is currently on hiatus 😢😢😢
786 degrees has vegan and gluten free options 10/10 pls try
You guys are so cute I can’t stand it
Secret Vegan Pizza is closing down 😢
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Best vegan pizza has to be from Mohawk Bend or Masa
It’s a crime to do a video like this without including Pura Vita and Donna Jean’s new location in Sherman Oaks
You are doing God's work.
RIP secret vegan pizza.
Secret vegan pizza closed down soooo sad
imo the vegan cheeses on vegan pizzas are often very bad. I wish they could replicate mozzarella in a good way...
Hot tongue is no longer 100% vegan & the 2nd pizza place is no longer in business But I don't know why vegan content creators keep missing Cruser Pizza that is 100% vegan. Ok maybe next time.
I did a search and couldn’t find anything so I apologize if you’ve mentioned it and I missed it (even though I’ve watched every video for years), but have you guys been to Rudy’s Pizza in Portland? Best vegan pizza I’ve ever had and the wings were crazy good too. I got the chicken bacon alfredo pizza. I’m not gluten free, but it didn’t matter. Couldn’t tell the different. Can’t wait to try more.
