The burger with a tomato for a bun made me lol - I feel like that's what non-vegans imagine when they think of a vegan burger. It totally looked like a Krabby Patty!
Clearly no one on staff actually tried to eat that as a burger, because really.....wtf.
I had a little chuckle to myself when I saw that. Not exactly a vegan burger even my vegan friends would order for but I give them credit for having options on the menu, which is more than most places

Looks like it was a great time. So hard to get places to do simple things for vegans, but progress is happening. We recently stayed at a hotel that had tortillas, potatoes and beans on their breakfast bar, so we thought we’d be good. Turned out they added meat to both the beans and the potatoes. They were so proud thinking they made them more delicious, but we were bummed. Ended up with the instant oatmeal packets and toast. Could have been a good taco.😢

That resort was beautiful. Let me also say that as someone who is not vegan (pescatarian) many resorts don’t have great food. It’s good at best. I usually enjoy the breakfast best (and I am not even a breakfast person). And the fruit is always divine. But for great tasting food, you usually will have to leave the resort.

Some of those options looked really good. I got PTSD from an all inclusive hotel in DR. All we had was bread fruit and potatoes. They would bring us food that was either covered in cheese OR just a plate of onions. By the middle of the week I was lightheaded in the buffet gathering what I could eat. Never again. Either I’m going to an all vegan hotel or I’m getting an airBnB and going to town and buying food from the markets

I work at a restaurant and we offer a few vegan options.. at one point we offered many but they were not incredibly popular and often times the specialty items used to make them would expire before they were used… it was very expensive… I can completely understand why they don’t have fancier vegan options… we will gladly make substitutions with ingredients we already use but purchasing items like vegan cheese is not cost effective.
The fact that they had some vegan options is good. But, I would get tired of the same options if I was there for a few days, so I get it. I am looking at moving to a more vegan friendly place in the next couple years. Still deciding where I want to go, but I always appreciate the travel advice. Also, PDX area is high on my list!
I thought it looked amazing! But I’ve been vegan a long time, since the salad and baked potato days, so I tend more towards happy to have anything at all.

I’ve been there! That resort is TOP TIER! When I went I didn’t see any vegan foods so I’m glad they upgraded.
They didn’t really upgrade. I think they’re doing the bare minimum and so we have looked elsewhere.
At least it wasn't the unseasoned portobello mushroom and fries option.😅
What kind of matcha do you use. I want to try it one day

What is the name of this hotel? My husband is Mexican and when we go to Mexico I want to stay here on one of the trips 😍 I have found a bunch of vegan places in Cuidad Juárez , Chihuahua at the border. I am actually in a fb group for vegan and vegetarian places there.

The food seemed to be very healthy, not junk food vegan food. Vegan cheese is made with oil.
