I will miss Scott being in the videos, but wish him the best of luck in his new venture. Hope he will pop in occasionally. And we also get to see the end of Sheila project.
This is awesome. I realize you have to do custom kits for frequently modified vehicles. But I wish it was easier to get this kind of work done on regular cars. Awesome job. And great video!
i like your style in the mid 1980s a good freind of mine bought a new Toyota pickup and the first thing he did was bring the Truck to one of our local Stereo shops in SouthFlorida and when the Truck was done he and i got a ride to pick it up after the paperwork was done we climbed in the truck to drive it home and we both had something poking at our backs so we jumped out and flipped the seat back foward to see that the Speakers they mounted on the cabs back wall were right where a Steel bar was on the seat back and the installers just bent those bars with a hammer to allow the seat back to go back as far as possible now the stereo did Rock and was very loud but that brand new truck was the most uncomfortable truck to ever ride in as luck would have it he and i worked together and often carpooled we did have to take his truck on certain days because it was set up to carry the tools we needed to do our job he eventually totaled the truck and removed his components to install in his next vehicle that was a van with plenty of room in it for mounting all the equipment years later. i bought a new Ford and wasn’t happy about the Speaker sound so i went to a Circuit City to see if i could get a better set of Speakers a Salesman saw me listening to what they had and asked if he could assist me i told him yeah it says these are the ones that fit inmy truck but they don’t sound much better than the Factory ones in there now Why ? he told me Ford used JBL speakers that arequality but unfortunately on my truck that was a extended Cab Ford engineered it for 4X6 speakers and i was looking for 6X9 sound but i was Adamant about wanting the Truck to not get cut up and still look Factory clean he told me enclosures would be my only option but that wouldn’t work as my small children needed to ride in that area and jump seats so i had to live with the factory sound for years in that truck and my next one i made sure had the 6X9 which meant going to a Chevy 3500 Extended Cab that i paid over 60 K for brand new basically so i could have the sound system i wanted FYI i’m 57 years old and in my time we used to drive American Muscle cars that had a package shelf behind the back seat that allowed us to mount practically anything we wanted and yes the 6X 9s were our choice in the 1980s we used to buy a brand who isn’t around any longer named Cricket that had a Lifetime Warranty so good that even if you pushed a Screwdriver through the cone they would replace them free of charge it was a no fault Warranty and most of my high school freinds used that brand FYI my Buddy that had the Toyota still has the head unit he got with that system which is a Alpine Cassette deck i liked his so much i bought the next model down and installed that in a Jeep i bought and drove daily that i did install Sony boat speakers in the dashboard where the Factory ones were originally those had some Poly cone that you could actually spray with a Garden hose and i used on my Fishing Boats as well
Sucks about Scott, but glad you got to drop another cool vid. Wish you could do a vid on a late model Santa Fe or Sorento. Everyone does vids on the pick ups, especially Fords. This was cool because you took us from the concept thru the application phases making it different than the run of the mill pick up featured vids. 👍👍
Maybe I've just been around JL audio to long and have there logo stuck I'm my head but where the seatbelts buckle into , looks like the JL logo just upside down , wish you had some templates for 98 Toyota 4 runner thanks for the videos from Knoxville TN
Alot of variables... Full system, starts around $6k and we are building one in two weeks that's $25k. Pick a number between those and we will let you know what we can do.
Looks clean! But little kids are gonna kick the crap out of those underseat woofers. Also less neons/leds. It’s not ‘98 anymore. They need a PS2 hooked up to that inverter so to keep the passengers happy or the driver during pit stops. I remember they did bring out a Blu Ray player for a car but I don’t think they have a screen that does 1080anything even to this day. Lol
Yes, that's why we have the downfiring option for the kiddos: soundsgoodstereo.com/collections/custom-subwoofer-enclosures/products/2019-2023-gmc-sierra-chevrolet-silverado-custom-level-1-subwoofer-enclosure-box
You for sure can. The nut that is included has a nylon lock nut to ensure it does not come loose. Also, this is all stainless hardware and is included with the kit.
Hey love the channel. If I may ask a question. I have three amps in my car sounds great I have bass speakers midrange speakers and tweeter’s amazing but when I turn the car off it makes a loud thump from the speakers any idea what could it be? Thank you.
The factory radio is turning off before your new amplifier. Think of it as a syncing issue. You can use a PAC Audio TR4 and it will help turn the amplifier on/off properly
We could, but the problem you face is if you do not start perfect in one corner, the holes will not line up at the other side. I'll pass this to Sage.. I know we talked about several options and he decided the traditional stainless nut/bolt combo will work. Maybe it's due to the potential of sound treatment depths from different manufactures?
28:20 doesn’t seem to be a locking nut on the back which it really should be with all the vibrations caused by speakers. For the cost of the install you could afford the extra 5 cents for the locking nuts.
Do you guys make it with some type of grill to protect subwoofer? Also what is your opinion for best for rock metal and mix of rap ok the 4 8s ot 2 10s or 12a? Can you do 3 10s in one of your boxes? 😊
You should include nut zerts.....the DIY guy that doesn't own the $25 tool to install those and needs nut and bolts is 100% the guy that's going to put Phillips tip thru the surround on mid bass trying to hold speaker and drill in screw...lol
It sounds better than it looks.... So the lucky customers that purchase one will not only have a amazing looking enclosure, but one that sounds good on any music they listen to

We do, but shipping might be a little crazy. Based on Hilo zip code, it will be $484.66 in shipping through UPS. We can make it happen if you want with the Elevation logo in the center.
It just depends… the subwoofers are only playing the bottom 20% of your music, so the other 80% are handled by the interior speakers. Personally, upgrading the entire system is a great idea, but it’s more than just adding speakers. This package is around $3,900 shipped and for a complete package, it’s around $6200 for everything.
Unless you have this exact system in your truck, you will not experience the level of detail in the reproduction. We did it once in another video and it still not deliver what you hear in person. Even customers from trucks we have completed understand and agree...
I would like to make a project on my wife's car Nissan Sentra I would like to put some Memphis everything Memphis speakers & the amplifiers n some 12 tweeters in the front n 3 subwoofer
How do i order the speaker adapters? I have a 2021 silverado 1500. I'm going to run 6x9 in the front, 6.5 in the rear. Also need adapter for the dashboard. I'll be running the infinity kappa 20mx on the dash. Let me know how i can contact you thanks
@@SoundsGoodStereo thanks alot, I have a 2021 gmc Denali and just came across your video on the at4. I’ve wanted bump since buying the truck but don’t know how to intergrade into the factory system
Idk about everyone else but the front bench seat version of the truck the space right below the dash with the big hump there, man all that does is seem to collect stuff maybe a couple magazines, or I've seen people put one of those collapsible trash bins there. It seems like a waste of some pretty good real estate. Why not a pair of 6-1/2" firing up towards the occupants? Or bring some midbass upntonthe front with a nice 8" something gmc is already rocking the kicker tailgate so why not an 8" L7 down there? And another thing what about the back corners up by the roof I'm pretty sure the 90s truck had speakers on those pillars if I'm not mistaken so what ever happened to those why did they make it so our feet get all the music instead bringing it up to eye lvl?
Just not a good location to reproduce low frequencies. You want the subwoofer as far away from the listener as possible in a vehicle. Too close and you will not hear low frequencies inside the truck, only outside / windows down.
One thing I’d like to see is a little more enthusiasm when asking your audience to tune in and ask those new potential subscribers to watch one of your videos, but other than that I like all things audio.
I’m thinking $5,000 to $7,000 Dollars at least with all the labor. And when this person sells this truck he better sell it person to person because a dealership will totally hose you on a trade in. They don’t even want to consider aftermarket Stereo Systems. They just look at the year, make, and miles and try to rip you off.
Man! That is best damn custom build I've ever seen that looks flawless!

Is there a cover for the sub box? I could see a kid putting his foot through one of them?
I'm also curious.
No demo on the sound quality?
Unless you have this exact system in your truck, you will not experience the level of detail in the reproduction. We did it once in another video and it still not deliver what you hear in person. Even customers from trucks we have completed understand and agree...
You are still able to install the seat on front of the amp rack?
Yes
I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado LT 1500 did you say this box will fix?
It will not but possibly in the future we might have something
😢
How do u get clients I can't seem to get any and I love doing car audio systems
We have been in business for 40 years and every day focus is on the clients. Do good work and they will recommend people your way.
Do you make this for Silverado 2003 extende cab
No we do not. Maybe in the future
Would you be open to offering an unfinished flat pack for the enclosure and if so how much?
We will in the future, but not at this moment
I would like to make a project on my wife's car Nissan Sentra I would like to put some Memphis everything Memphis speakers & the amplifiers n some 12 tweeters in the front n 3 subwoofer
Do u guys make adapters for 8” for a Acura TLX 2015 for the front doors??
Not yet, maybe in the future.
I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport extra cab. I need an under seat sub box like that. Can you help a brother out? 🙏

New to the channel, but I've seen a couple of your builds. I was just curious, are the pallets in the "sky" to help with echo?
They were left from the previous owners... Just never took them down and yes, they will help with acoustics, but not sure exactly if its good/bad :)
2020 ram 1500 similar build?
Next week!!
How come no deadner on the block out plates? Not needed?
Not really needed. But it couldn't hurt, but we never felt the need to. If your using thinner or cheaper plastic, then yes.
Hy lm Robert how much for a amp rack , have a 2020 silverado

@@SoundsGoodStereo thanks alot, I have a 2021 gmc Denali and just came across your video on the at4. I’ve wanted bump since buying the truck but don’t know how to intergrade into the factory system
I love your sub enclosures, just wondering if you sell prefab enclosures for the 2013 F150 crewcab.
We have a couple that work well if your floor is flat under your seat.

Demo demo demo!!!!! 😂 I know it’s coming
Just need to come by the shop and hear one of our cars in person :)
I see you sage
Thanks Saul.. We are not trying to become UA-cam famous but rather just be ourselves and focus on what we do best.
What’s the price for the work you did on this truck?
Around $4K.. That is subwoofer enclosure, subwoofers, amplifier rack, amplifier, t-Harness for Bose and power/gound kit that we make in-house.
Excellent! Thank you for your response.
Ya, so don't ever buy a stereo you like because of resale
@@michaelharrigan778I've moved my sub from car to car, not a big deal 😅
