I live here and have done all my life. My godfather (R.I.P) knew evreything about this town and also was a archaeologists and found alot that is now in Bradford on avon museum, he written a book about bradford and his family (my cousins) has alot at thier home he discovered, a true legend from a beautiful small historic town.

I would love to try out a narrowboat one day, (Will is not keen) yes it good to escape the big cities and see more of nature. We were just in the Peak District this last weekend and what an escape for home! Loved it.

You envoked a lot of childhood visits to my Gran who lived on muirhull, Limpley Stoke and lots of walks to the aqueducts with the dog. Incidently my mum brought a Welsh dresser from the antique shop now a tearoom in Bradford on Avon in 1986. Thank you so much for the tour ❤

Yes yes yes go further. We have quite a few videos that are within reach of London by train. Winchester, Canterbury, ( our fav Rye ) and even York which I see you have seen! Do check them out. 1 to 2 hours on the train and WOW you are in a whole new world. ☺

We are moving from London to Bradford on Avon in less than 3-weeks. Terrified to leave the city I was born in, but excited because there are not many beuaitful places like this left.

I like the video, unlike the commercial tour ones, it shows the real hisotry and different from all surface group tours elements but makes you feel as though we can go by ourselves as an individual tours, like local people, as you are doing yourself. thank you for a different kind of a tour video at this time of corona years.
No swans, by the town bridge? There was a pair nesting there in summer 2021. The K&A was built to transport the Bath stone to London, for all it's Georgian buildings.
This is a hot Saturday treat! Thank you guys. I have been to it (I live in Wiltshire) but not for sometime. I agree about the parking…just wish we had a better small station train network, like we had before the Beeching cuts.
It sure was a hot Saturday! On the upside to the Beeching's cuts, we have some lovely cycle and walkways around the country, but I get you're point on the transport links in rural places.
@@MemorySeekers And hot again today. I do like the cycle ways, but as a pedestrian in the lockdown I was rather shocked to be asked to “step aside” by a cyclist riding on the pavement behind me! So pedestrians should give way for cyclists? Sorry to moan, just thought I’d tell my story.

The little museum in the library at the bridge car park is well worth a visit. It has the complete contents of the old town chemist's shop among other fascinating items in it.
